Abstract

Last year, it was 0.5 out of every 10,000 people, but now it has increased. Lucio's Leprosy, also known as Leprosy Bonita, is a very uncommon type of serious leprosy. The Lucio phenomenon is a severe reaction that can occur in individuals with Lucio's leprosy. It causes a skin condition called "necrotizing erythema". This study used reliable and important scientific databases like PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, as well as official databases from health organizations. These reactions occur in the cells of body's immune system, specifically the T helper 1 cells, in response to antigens from mycobacteria. Research has shown that certain substances produced by Th1 cells, such as IL-1?, TNF-?, IL-2, and IFN-?, are very important. High amounts of TNF-?, soluble IL-2 receptors, and adhesion molecules show how serious the local inflammation is. Patients with a mild form of leprosy who are experiencing a specific type of immune response have higher levels of a molecule called TNF-? in their nerves and skin. Type 1 reactions are caused by certain types of immune cells called Th1 lymphocytes. The WHO said it's important to make sure patients and communities know about leprosy so they can get help on their own. They think this is a very important part of their plan to fight leprosy worldwide.

Abstract

Background: COVID-19 cases in the world have reached 62,162,592 cases. Based on the Worldometers report, Indonesia is still in the top 10 with the highest number of cases in Asia. In West Nusa Tenggara itself, it is ranked 2nd best in the COVID-19 recovery index, but this does not rule out the possibility that there could be a spike in cases. Objective: to analyze the main factors causing the lack of public awareness in using masks during the COVID-19 pandemic in Ule Village, Asakota District, Bima City. Method: This research is a case study research with a cross sectional design. The population in this study is all the people who live there in Ule Village, Asakota District, Bima City. Results: As many as 55.9% were in a state of non-compliance with the use of masks because it was difficult to breathe (stuffy), they did not believe that Covid-19 was real, there was no need to use a mask if they only left the house for a short distance, it could hinder communication with the POR value = 37,424 (p.value < 0.05) so that the risk of transmission of COVID-19 could occur 37 times in people who do not comply with wearing masks when compared to people who comply with wearing masks. Conclusion: The main factor causing the lack of public awareness regarding the use of masks during the COVID-19 pandemic is that there are still people who feel that using a mask can hinder communication and feel that using a mask causes difficulty in breathing.

Abstract

Efforts to build legal awareness of rural communities have long been made for the welfare of the community. Carrying out the achievement of community legal awareness towards a legally aware village/village will find challenges and opportunities. The challenges and opportunities of realizing a legally aware village in this are associated with the press perspective of Lawrence M Friedman's theory, namely the theory of the legal system, namely aspects of the substance, structure, and culture of the law. The method used in this study uses a qualitative method with a sociological approach (social, legal approach) through questionnaires, interviews, and discussions with relevant stakeholders. The results of this study explain that the facts show that the achievement of coaching in legal awareness and the process of realizing a legally aware village is still very low. This study revealed that there were challenges in realizing a law-conscious village, namely low legal awareness regarding early marriage and the lack of legally aware family groups (kadarkum) in rural communities. However, it does not rule out the possibility that behind the challenges faced, there are also opportunities obtained by the involvement of students in the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, which is organized by Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, Riset dan Teknologi (Kemendikbudristek) as a companion for rural communities to helping to realize a law-conscious village. Researchers recommend further assessment actions as outlined in two policy texts.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is a driving force for global economic growth, with women increasingly recognized for their substantial contributions to innovation, job creation, and overall prosperity. This research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology, ensuring a thorough and unbiased exploration of existing knowledge. Providing crucial insights into women's entrepreneurship dynamics, the study underscores that robust managerial skills enhance the likelihood of women forming familial business partnerships. However, pervasive gender discrimination poses a significant hurdle, potentially steering women towards independent ventures. Early-stage female entrepreneurs heavily rely on familial and governmental support, particularly from husbands, alongside access to business knowledge, shaping their ventures profoundly. The dynamic landscape faced by women entrepreneurs is influenced by various factors that can either facilitate or impede success. This study emphasizes the key role of managerial skills while acknowledging gender discrimination as a formidable obstacle, underscoring the need for addressing these challenges in fostering inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Abstract

This study explores the determinants of Indonesia's economic growth factors through inflation, exchange rates and foreign direct investment based on a quantitative paradigm. This research uses all provinces in Indonesia as population except (Bengkulu, West Sulawesi, Maluku, Gorontalo, Southwest Papua, Central Papua, Mountainous Papua and South Papua) leaving only 30 provinces as data analysis units through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using panel data regression analysis using Eviews-13. The results of the modeling selection determined that the selected model was a random effect model with a modeling contribution = 20.10%. The findings of this research provide evidence that higher inflation and foreign direct investment (FDI) have proven to have a real impact on economic growth, whereas a decrease in the exchange rate has proven unable to increase provincial economic growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

The sanitation conditions of residential houses in the Indramayu Regency are mostly categorized as low, which can potentially trigger Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI). This research aims to determine the relationship between the physical sanitation of homes and ARI in toddlers within the working area of the Cantigi Community Health Center in the Indramayu Regency. The research method employed a cross-sectional approach, with a sample taken from a total population of 95 houses in the Cantigi Community Health Center area. Data collection methods included semi-structured interviews, observations, and measurements covering ventilation, natural lighting, humidity, and flooring. Statistical tests were conducted using ordinal scale data, and the Chi-Square statistical test was chosen due to its suitability for the data used. The confidence level was set at 95% with a significance level of 5%. To determine the strength of the relationship between independent and dependent variables, the contingency coefficient (CC) was used, scored from 0 (lowest) to 1 (highest), and data processing was performed using SPSS version 24. Based on the research results, the Chi-Square test yielded the following values: ventilation p = 0.000 and CC = 0.455, lighting p = 0.000 and CC = 0.358, humidity p = 0.000 and CC = 0.538, flooring p = 0.002 and CC = 0.323. Thus, the hypothesis stating 'The relationship between ventilation, lighting, humidity, and flooring is associated with ARI in toddlers in the working area of the Cantigi Community Health Center, Indramayu Regency' is accepted, indicating a fairly strong relationship.

Abstract

During pregnancy there will be changes in the body both physiologically and psychologically. The body's systems will coordinate with each other to maintain pregnancy and give signals to the body that result in discomfort. The creation of this expert system application program is intended to try out an early warning detection plan for the risk of preeclampsia in pregnancy. The method used by forward chaining in research consists of collecting data and information, processing data and information, designing, implementing, testing and evaluating. Conclusion results from the expert system diagnosis process. By creating and designing this expert system, it is hoped that it can increase pregnant women's knowledge about early warning of the risk of preeclampsia in the third trimester of pregnancy independently, quickly and accurately.
