Abstract

Rural poverty in Terengganu is closely tied to the limitations of traditional farming practices and the underutilization of modern technology. This study investigates the socioeconomic benefits of adopting agricultural technology among low-income small ruminant farmers in the region. By categorizing respondents into adopters and non-adopters, and analyzing their practices using survey questionnaires and independent sample t-tests, the study found that technology adopters significantly outperformed their peers in productivity (p<0.05) and entrepreneurial innovation. These findings underscore the transformative potential of technology in improving livelihoods, reducing poverty, and fostering sustainable agricultural development. The research calls for targeted policy interventions and support systems to facilitate broader technology adoption and bridge the digital divide in rural farming communities.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Quizizz Paper Mode as a digital-based learning tool aimed at improving vocabulary mastery among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 52 Pinrang. The study was motivated by the lack of student interest and performance in vocabulary learning due to traditional and monotonous teaching methods. A pre-experimental design was used involving a single group of 25 students who completed a pre-test, participated in four treatment sessions using Quizizz Paper Mode, and took a post-test. The study focused on two aspects of vocabulary: word meaning and word use. The results showed a substantial improvement in students’ vocabulary mastery. In word meaning, the percentage of students in the “Poor” category dropped from 80% to 32%, while those achieving “Very Good” increased from 4% to 20%. In word use, the “Poor” category decreased from 96% to 12%, and 36% of students reached “Very Good.” These findings indicate that Quizizz Paper Mode is an effective and engaging method for vocabulary instruction, especially in low-tech classrooms. The integration of game-based elements and real-time feedback made the learning process more interactive and enjoyable. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of Quizizz Paper Mode not only significantly improves students’ vocabulary mastery but also increases their motivation and active participation in learning. This method is a promising and innovative alternative for English instruction in primary schools, particularly in low-tech learning environments.

Abstract

The development of e-commerce drives MSMEs to adopt digital payment systems, yet many still face fraud risks due to weak internal control mechanisms. This study aims to analyze how the payment system is managed by the MSME Disa Olshop in Palu City as a fraud prevention strategy. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method, conducted through in-depth interviews with the business owner selected purposively. Data were analyzed thematically through transcription, coding, theme identification, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the payment system remains manual and lacks verification technology, making it vulnerable to fraud such as fake transfer receipts. The absence of standard operating procedures and reliance on manual record-keeping increases the risk of financial loss. The business owner has acknowledged these weaknesses and is considering adopting digital systems such as QRIS and financial recording applications. This study concludes that strengthening the payment system through digital technology and internal controls is essential to prevent fraud and enhance consumer trust.

Abstract

This research discusses the role of Management Information Systems (SIM) in managing student organization funds, with a research focus on the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics and Business (BEM FEB), Tadulako University (UNTAD). The main problem raised is the suboptimal financial system of student organizations that are still managed manually, as well as the lack of transparency and accountability in fund management. The purpose of this research is to explore how SIM is used in practice, to deal with the challenges faced, and its contribution to the efficiency and transparency of the organization's financial governance. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study method, and data collection techniques of semi-structured interviews and documentation. The results show that although the use of SIM is still limited to simple applications such as Excel and Google Drive, the system has helped the management in recording finances, preparing reports, and monitoring expenses. SIM also encourages a more accountable and collaborative organizational culture. However, limited human resources, infrastructure, and digital literacy are significant challenges in optimizing the system. This research contributes to understanding the role of information technology implementation at the student organization level and recommends the need for institutional support and continuous training to strengthen digital-based managerial capacity in the campus environment.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the significant role of parents and Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in fostering worship awareness among the students of Rumah Tahfidz Al Wasathiyyah Tanrutedong. The research questions are: 1) How is the existence of parents and PAI teachers in this process? 2) What forms of cooperation exist between them? and 3) How is the level of worship awareness among the students at Rumah Tahfidz Al Wasathiyyah? The purpose of this study is to describe the existence of parents and PAI teachers in instilling worship awareness in the students of Rumah Tahfidz Al Wasathiyyah Tanrutedong, to identify the forms of cooperation between parents and teachers in this process, and to analyze the level of worship awareness possessed by the students as a result of the interaction and guidance provided by both parties. To achieve these objectives, this research employs a qualitative approach with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, which are then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings of this study indicate that parents play an essential role in instilling worship awareness in their children through prayer, advice, exemplary behavior, guidance, and supervision. Meanwhile, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers demonstrate their role as advisors, role models, companions, supervisors, evaluators, and motivators. Worship awareness among students at Rumah Tahfidz Al Wasathiyyah Tanrutedong is also fostered through a structured and continuous collaboration between parents and PAI teachers, which includes effective communication, enhancement of parents’ religious understanding, mutual agreements on rewards and punishments, relational support from parents to teachers, and reinforcement within the family environment. This synergy contributes to the development of students’ worship awareness based on three key indicators: (1) Obedience in performing obligatory and recommended (sunnah) acts of worship (1) Independence in maintaining regular worship practices without strict supervision, and (3) The emergence of a culture of mutual reminders among students regarding worship

Abstract

This study aims to analyze disaster survivors’ perceptions of disaster preparedness in the Permanent Housing (Huntap) area of Tondo, Palu City. Huntap Tondo serves as a relocation site for victims of the 2018 earthquake, tsunami, and liquefaction disasters. Although survivors now reside in a newly developed area designed to enhance safety and comfort, they continue to face potential future disaster risks. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation involving 15 key informants, including survivors and community leaders. The findings reveal that survivors’ perceptions of disaster preparedness are strongly influenced by their traumatic experiences, level of understanding of disaster risks, and the availability of disaster information and education within their environment. While some survivors demonstrated high awareness of the importance of preparedness—such as storing emergency supplies and participating in disaster training—others exhibited more passive attitudes, relying predominantly on authorities. Limited community involvement in mitigation planning and insufficient routine socialization were identified as major obstacles to fostering collective preparedness. This study recommends a more participatory, community-based approach alongside strengthening local capacity through ongoing training and the establishment of accessible disaster information systems for all residents of Huntap Tondo.
