Abstract

A history of reception about literary work is conducted by the differences of reader horizon of expectation. The difference of its results are based on the reader background. A horizon of expectation of a reader can be vary such as education, experience, knowledge, and understanding skill to interpreting a meaning. Beside a difference of a reader horizon, reader can not be also separated from giving meaning to its text. While in literary work has an open place that must be filled by reader. A reader concern giving meaning by doing reading action. In Oliver Twist novel by Charles Dickens depicted all conditions of England in Victorian Period. Reception theory of Hans Robert Jauss the first theses will be used for guidance to this analyze. That theory also used as approach to solve the case in this study. While the writer will apply a qualitative descriptive method base on the act of reading and text analyses. The findings show that the condition of people in Victorian Era face sorrowful and darkness. These situation sharply spread of a poverty, starving, oppression, and injustice. Those all situations are clearly caused by industry revolution. Govermen run an amoral rules which society does not have sympathy, care, and responsibility.

Abstract

In early 2020, the word was caught off guard by the outbreak of unknown pneumonia that began  in Wuhan, Hubei Province. It spread rapidly throughout more than 190 countries and territories. This outbreak is named coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). Research objectives  to find out whether there is a correlation of the knowledge of  people’s stigma with patients Covid-19 in Kota Tangerang. This research uses descriptive analytical research with are search design cross sectional. The sampling technique used in this study is random sampling by using a questionnaire, the total population is 25.158 using a random sampling technique with the Slovin formula, the results obtained are 100 respondents consisting of local residents. Obtained, based on the chi square test of Sig. 0.000 (p <0.05), it can be concluded that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. Thus, it can be interpreted that there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and people’s stigma with patients Covid-19 in Kota Tangerang.

Abstract

Pegadaian is one of the non-bank financial institutions in Indonesia that is owned by a BUMN. Work motivation, leadership in the organization is deemed necessary to see the performance of employees at PT. Pegadaian Regional Office VII Denpasar. This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation and leadership on the performance of employees of PT. Pegadaian Regional Office VII Denpasar. The research method used is quantitative with a population of 1400 employees in all Units and UPCs in Denpasar. In the sampling technique determined N = (25 x 2 Independent variables), then the number of samples to be studied is 50 respondents. The data collection technique in this research is using a questionnaire with purposive sampling technique. The data in this study were processed using multiple linear regression test with SPSS program. The results of this study indicate that work motivation has no significant effect on performance, it is shown that the tcount of the work motivation variable has a negative value of -0.934 with a significance value of 0.355. This significance value is greater than the significance limit value, which is 0.05 which is declared insignificant. For the leadership variable, the tcount value of 4.121 can be obtained with a significance value of 0.000. This significance value is smaller than the significance limit value, which is 0.05. Leadership has a positive and significant effect on performance. Work motivation and leadership have a simultaneous positive effect on performance with a calculated F value of 8.658 with a significance level of 0.001 less than 0.05. The determinant coefficient of 26.9% of performance is influenced by work motivation and leadership variables, while the remaining 73.1% is influenced by other variables not analyzed in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the effect of funding decisions on organizational culture, explain the influence of organizational culture on financial performance, explain the effect of funding decisions on financial performance. This research was conducted at a cooperative in Denpasar. Financial performance is an analysis carried out to see how far the company has carried out supervision by using financial implementation rules properly and correctly. Financial performance in this study is influenced by funding decisions and organizational culture. The culture that develops and is applied to the organization or company can influence decisions taken by management or company owners related to the use of external funding sources that can affect financial performance. Data analysis was performed using PLS (partial least square). The results of this study indicate that organizational culture has a positive and insignificant effect on funding decisions, organizational culture has a positive and significant influence on financial performance and funding decisions have a negative and significant influence on financial performance.

Abstract

Total debt is an important component of every company in running a business to earn a profit. So that the company in processing total debt must be effective and efficient in order to get the maximum net profit return and avoid losses. This study aims to determine the effect of short-term debt and long-term debt on net income of the automotive and component industry sub-sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method, used to examine a particular population or sample. The independent variable in this study is short-term debt and long-term debt, while the dependent variable is net income. The population in this study are all automotive and component sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017-2021 period. A sample of 20 consists of 5 companies multiplied by 4 years of research. The sample selection is a purposive sampling technique. The analytical technique used is to use multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that total debt has a significant effect on the net profit of the automotive and component industries listed on the IDX. From the variables of short-term debt and long-term debt that get the lowest average value of long-term debt, this requires the company to evaluate the use of long-term debt. Meanwhile, when viewed from regression testing, classical assumptions and hypotheses, that each variable is interrelated and has a significant influence.

Abstract

The development of the automotive world is always faster. Lifestyle changes in Indonesia, especially motorbikes are a hobby of various circles. Old and young, not only high-tech motorbikes, but many like old or classic motorbikes that have many fans. One of them is Vespa motorbikes. system design is one of the important elements in research. The following system design techniques are used in accordance with the formulation of the problem using a classical or waterfall algorithm approach. From the results of the research conducted, some data on the symptoms of damage to the Vespa Classic are as follows. ) into the Expert System to diagnose damage to vespa classic. The conclusions generated in this study are as follows: Implementing an expert system with the Certainty Factor (CF) method in diagnosing damage to the Vespa classic from the calculation results of the Certainty Factor (CF) method.

Abstract

The use of social media is very influential for various groups including the business world. One of the benefits is being able to support access to marketing communications during the product promotion process, and building brand awareness. One of the most widely used social media applications today is the TikTok application. TikTok is listed on the Playstore as an application that has 500 million downloads. This research is intended to explore, study, analyze and understand the potential of the TikTok application in increasing brand awareness. The purpose of this study was to analyze the ad video content on the tiktok application in increasing brand awareness. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive research method. The data collection technique that will be used in this study uses data collection techniques on various books, literature, and various reports related to research variables, this study uses data collected by observation techniques in the TikTok application on the @goodponsel account. This research shows that @goodponsel in each uploaded video content gets an average of up to thousands of viewers for each video. if you look closely, the video content created by @goodponsel contains elements of non-rational persuasive advertisements. Using non-rational persuasion, invites viewers to continue to listen to the video advertisements made by @goodponsel, and of course this will build brand awareness of GoodPhone.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the significance of the partial influence of the influence of the number of tourists and hotel room occupancy rates on local revenue in Mataram City in 2015 – 2020; and to measure the simultaneous significance of the influence of the number of tourists and hotel room occupancy rates on local revenue in Mataram City in 2015 – 2020); and to measure the dominance of the number of tourists and hotel room occupancy variables on local revenue in Mataram City in 2015 – 2020. The research was conducted in Mataram City and the type of research used in this study is quantitative research with an associative approach. While the data used in this study is secondary data. The results showed that: 1) the number of tourists and hotel room occupancy rates had a significant partial effect on local revenue (PAD) in the city of Mataram; 2) The number of tourists and hotel room occupancy rates have a significant simultaneous effect on local revenue (PAD) in the city of Mataram; 3) The number of tourists has a more dominant influence on local revenue (PAD) in the city of Mataram in 2015 – 2020.

Abstract

Verbal abuse is a violent behavior in the form of speech that can hurt emotionally and have a bad impact on children. Data shows that 62% of children experience violence, of which 3 out of 5 girls and half of all boys experience verbal abuse. The purpose is knowing the description of parents' perceptions of verbal abuse in school-age children in Jetis Hamlet, Ngrampal, Sragen. This research is descriptive research, with univariate analysis method. that the majority of mothers were 25-35 years old, namely 21 (66%). Characteristics of education as many as 13 (41%) mothers with high school education. Job characteristics as many as 14 (44%) mothers work as farmers. Mother's perception of verbal abuse in school-age children in Jetis Pilangsari Hamlet, the majority are in the good category, namely 32 (54%). The majority of mothers aged 25-35 years, the majority of mothers with high school education, the majority of mothers with farmer jobs. Mother's perception of verbal abuse in school-age children in the hamlet of Jetis Pilangsari, Ngrampal, Sragen are in the good category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how effective the use of the teacher's room application is in improving the quality of education in Makassar City. This research includes qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data sources were selected by purposive sampling (purposed sample), the data were collected using interview techniques, observation, and documentation, analytical techniques using qualitative descriptive analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing or verification. The results of the study on the effectiveness of the use of the teacher's room application in grade VI elementary school students in improving the quality of education in the City indicate that: (1) the effectiveness of the use of this teacher's room application at the stage of observing, asking, gathering information, and communicating has not run optimally. (2) The use of the Ruang Guru application can improve the quality of education. This is proven by the process and learning tools used in this teacher's room application, all of which are up-to-date.
