Abstract

Typhoid fever is an infectious disease caused by Salmonella tyhphii bacteria. Typhoid fever is transmitted through the faecal orally when food or drink is contaminated with Salmonella tyhphii bacteria due to lack of hygiene of food or drinks. Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is very important to prevent the transmission of typhoid fever. This counseling aims to provide education about typhoid fever, including how to prevent the transmission of typhoid fever. This counseling was given to students of class XI Santa Lusia Senior High School, Percut Sei Tuan District. Outreach is provided through presentation, question and answer and online feedback. Feedback shows that participants can receive the information given well.

Abstract

Covid-19 is still a pandemic, and showing an increase globally. Government policies are needed to assist youth in coping with this disaster by implementing effective measures. Thus, counseling is needed for youth to increase knowledge, know how to protect oneself, protect themselves and others in order to achieve preparedness against this disaster. This Community Service in the form of an outreach entitled "Prevention of Covid-19 on the Youth of GBIS Christ Hope Medan" was carried out online through the zoom cloud meetings application. Participants of the counseling were 23 GBIS Christ Hope Medan Youths. The technical implementation of this community service consists of opening by the MC, counseling, video playback, presenting posters, demonstrating how to wash hands and wearing masks, as well as a QA session, and finally participants filling out feedback via google form. Participants were very enthusiastic and interested in this extension, this can be seen from the feedback given by extension participants via google form. Most of the extension participants thought this counseling went very well (68.75%), and all participants agreed that this extension was very useful for them, because they got more knowledge about prevention, especially by washing hands properly, and increased endurance. The first conclusion is that the topic of counseling presented is in accordance with the needs of the extension participants, because Covid-19 is still a disease that has caused a pandemic with a high mortality rate until now. Second, it can invite young people to be able to further improve personal and environmental hygiene and a healthy lifestyle in reducing Covid-19 transmission and implement health protocols issued by the government to tackle the spread of Covid-19.

Abstract

This outreach activity aims to increase knowledge about the criminal law aspects of the impact of narcotics abuse and increase the experience of communicating and interacting with the community directly through this community service activity. This training is conducted offline. Participants are 40 Youth Church of HKBP Sidorame Medan. The implementation is opening, counseling, video screening, presentation of posters on the impact of narcotics abuse, question and answer sessions, and participant feedback. Participants were enthusiastic about this activity, as seen from the participants' feedback. As many as 80 % of participants thought this extension went very well and all participants agreed that this activity was very useful Counseling delivered according to the needs of participants, invites all parties including parents, teachers, and the community to take an active role in being aware of the threat of narcotics to the younger generation. There are many things that can still be done to prevent teenagers from abusing narcotics, and to help teenagers who have fallen into drug abuse

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide understanding and motivation through socialization for the younger generation of Punguan Raja Panjaitan Dohot Boruna (PRPB) Medan City, one of the topics is about the key factors of success for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit. This socialization was carried out on Friday, April 30, 2021, offline with strict health protocols at the PRPB Secretariat of Medan City which was attended by 29 people. The implementation includes the opening, the MC invites participants to sing, ice breaking, socialization, video screenings, question and answer sessions, and participant feedback. For the young generation of PRPB, this socialization is important to understand what are the key factors that influence their future success, how to explore and find them. For the Medan City PRPB organization, this socialization is an alternative for developing PRPB members and reducing children's problems that arise as a result of this misunderstanding. , they can clearly summarize the topics presented and hope that a further development program will be held, so it can be concluded that the purpose of this service has been achieved.

Abstract

Farmer institutions have a function as a forum for the learning process for farmers, a vehicle for cooperation, providers of production facilities and infrastructure, production units, processing and marketing units, and supporting service units. This service activity aims to; a) provide understanding for farmers about the benefits of farmer group institutions as a forum for obtaining capital or financing for smallholder oil palm rejuvenation sourced from the government; b) to provide understanding for farmers in forming smallholder oil palm farmer groups, as a condition for obtaining assistance from the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (Badan Pengelola Dana Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit/BPDPKS). Based on service activities; a) an increase in the number of farmers who understand the existence of a government program on smallholder oil palm rejuvenation; b) there is an increase in the number of farmers who understand that the government provides financial assistance to farmers to rejuvenate and develop their oil palm farming; c) there is an increase in the number of farmers who understand that the government through BPDPKS can provide production facilities in the form of subsidized fertilizer for smallholder oil palm farmers; d) there is an increase in the number of farmers who understand that participation in cooperative institutions or farmer groups is a requirement to get government assistance in developing their oil palm farming.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to provide insight and also to motivate young men by king panjaitan dohot boruna (PRPB) of the terrain city on which one of the topics was published on the human development index (ipm). The work is conducted on Friday, April 30, 2021, according to strict health protocols in the secretariat PRPB of the terrain of 29 people. The performance included opening, MC inviting participants to sing, ice breaking, socialization, video shows, the interview and feedback sessions. Building young people is not only about building young individuals but also about building a neighborhood that makes them a livelihood. Thus, youth development must be a cross section that touches on educational, health, welfare, employment, participation, politics, and gender equality. This exercise of devotion to the community is aimed at providing insight into the importance of the ipm problem especially in the square city, by engaging in discussion/socialization activities with young men by king panjaitan dohot boruna (PRPB) of terrain (PRPB). It also collaborates with professors at the economics and business faculty of the university of HKBP nommensen. This activity will be conducted to support sustainable entrepreneurial workshops that will be carried out by the terrain city PRPB for young people. The result of the activities summarizes the opinions of professors, youth, and PRPB administrators of the city of medan. The terrain city reached its highest ipm in northern Sumatra by 80.65 with the calculation of three aspects of knowledge, a standard of living, anda length of life anda healthy life.

Abstract

The use of hazardous materials used as food additives that are prohibited by the government is the main problem in the development of the goods and services industry, business actors will seek the highest profit without providing guarantees for the quality of goods and / or services produced and / or traded based on the provisions of goods quality standards and / or applicable services. The compensation in question can be in the form of health care and the provision of compensation to consumers who have been injured or their heirs or an agreement from the parties themselves. In carrying out every activity, the business actor is responsible for what it produces. Every violation of norms and several actions that are contrary to the aim of creating a healthy business climate can be categorized as illegal actions. Therefore, business actors will be subject to legal sanctions in the form of administrative, civil and criminal sanctions. This is regulated in Article 19 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. Legal sanctions against food business actors who are proven to have committed an offense by using hazardous substances in the production process are carried out in the form of withdrawing food products, temporarily stopping production until the related problem is resolved and withdrawing food numbers from the household industry, destroying the food or drink if it is proven to endanger health. and human souls, and revocation of production permits or business permits.

Abstract

Soil Transmitted Helminth, also known as intestinal worm infection, is the most common worm disease caused by Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, Strongyloides stercoralis, Necator americanus and Ancylostoma sp. The purpose of this activity is to find out the incidence of worms, provide education and treat worms obtained in Namo Rambe Village. The activity method of this activity is the general lecture. This counseling was considered quite successful as seen from the questionnaires answered by the participants about the clinical symptoms of worms. It can be concluded that this outreach activity is very useful in increasing knowledge and community participation in preventing helminth infections. Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide an overview, understanding and alternative forms of student collaboration that can be carried out together in the BK2PTKI – Badan Koordinasi Kemahasiswaan Perguruan Tinggi Kristen Indonesia - Indonesian Christian Higher Education Student Cooperation Agency. At the national meeting with the theme: revitalization of the student body in the era of the kampus merdeka and the sub-theme: strategy for managing student activities in the era of the kampus merdeka, the Presenter Team was given the opportunity to deliver material with the topic: "Cooperation for BK2PTKI Student Activities".  According to the topic, the Presenter Team said that there are several opportunity of collaboration and the possibility of organizing collaborations in organizing joint activities among BK2PTKI members including national competitions, national training, national student scientific meetings, national student publications and others. This collaboration is expected to produce several forms of student activity reports such as MOU documents, MoA documents, and IA documents. In addition, all of collaborations activities will produce student achievements at the national level as well as national student publications. Therefore, the collaboration that will be carried out will support many things, especially in the field of student affairs. Another advantage of this collaboration is support for the accreditation of Study Programs and Institutions, increasing the ranking of institutions at the LLdikti level and the level of the Ministry of Education as well as increasing student ratings at Simkatmawa

Abstract

Ascariasis is a global problem helath with transmission through soil contaminated with helminth eggs. Personal and environmental hygiene as well as knowledge about ascariasis affect the risk of ascariasis. The purpose of this community service is to increase public knowledge about ascariasis. Outreach is given in poster media presentation, questions and answers with the community in Namorambe Village, Deli Serdang. Enthusiasm of the participants and the questions given showed the success of this activity. Education about personal and environmental hygiene and ascariasis needed to reduce the risk of ascariasis.
