Abstract

Learning is the process of change in human character, and these changes are manifested as an increase in the quality and quantity of behavior, such as improve skills, knowledge, attitudes, habits, understanding, skills, thinking abilities, etc. To make learning enjoyable, each class should include an activity that allows students to gain new knowledge and skills. Learning activities of this type must bridge the gap between prior knowledge held by learners and new knowledge created by them. One of the psychologists known for learning theory is Albert Bandura. Albert Bandura emphasizes the importance of observing, modeling, and imitating the behaviors, attitudes, and emotional responses of others. Social learning theory considers how environmental and cognitive factors interact to influence human learning and behavior. Albert Bandura's Social Learning emphasizes the importance of the learner develop their own knowledge or information gained from model observations the surrounding environment. The learner organizes all the information in detail code. The process of preparing each code can be repeated, allowing learners to real-time feedback can be provided. The learner's behavior is the result of competence. The learner interprets knowledge or information, imitates the model, and then recognizes process and identify desired action goals. Encourage learners to think critically and creatively. Analyzing the problem and offering alternative solutions is critical to the problem.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to assist the Church's Young Generation in preparing everything to face competition in the future by thinking creatively and innovatively with a Christian perspective. One of the vocations of the Church is to improve welfare and solve youth delinquency problems by helping youth change their mindset to be creative and innovative with the support of one of the Tri Dharma of higher education, namely community service, which greatly assists the church's vocation to care for today's youth. The younger generation needs to be equipped with an understanding related to changing mindsets and increasing creative and innovative mindsets. This seminar is a motivational lecture to understand how to make changes and creativity for a productive and quality life from a Christian view. This seminar was held on Sunday, 15 May 2022, at the HKBP Simalingkar B Resort Kwala Bekala Church, Jalan Pintu air IV gg. HKBP Kwala Bekala, Medan Johor District, which was attended by 47 students (HKBP Simalingkar B Resort Kwala Bekala, accompanied by Resort Priests, Young Priests, Bibelvrow, and Church elders. The implementation began with the Opening of the Resort Priest by singing and praying together, then continued by the MC, and then filled in by the first resource person by providing material, question and answer session, ice breaking, then filled again by the second resource person by providing material, question and answer session, ice breaking, feedback from participants, then closed with a short service of singing and praying and taking photos together.

Abstract

The presence of land and spatial issues in the Bejiharjo Urban Village presents a significant challenge in providing understanding and awareness to the community in its management. Transfer of knowledge to raise awareness among the people of Bejiharjo faces challenges such as strong institutional and political bureaucracy, geographical diversity of the region, and people's educational backgrounds. This paper presents the findings of a qualitative study, the data for which was gathered through the focus group discussion (FGD) method and interviews with 20 residents. Discussions focused on conveying the diversity of potential areas worth developing, while interviews were used to address land and spatial issues. The findings show that counseling about the diversity of regional potentials and providing solutions to land problems can be used to foster community empowerment, improve the quality of land services, and meet the community's security needs for their land. However, the uniformity of land service requirements, the ease of bureaucracy in each institution, and the political will of the authorities to assist residents in the regions are the keys to achieving social welfare.

Abstract

Higher education KPI consist of eight indicators that measure the quality of graduates, lecturers, and curriculum. Based on the BK2PTKI invitation letter No. 07/BK2-PTKI/X/2022 dated 18 October 2022, the author was invited to attend as speakers with the topic: "Student Affairs Program in Fulfillment of Higher Education Key Performance Indicators (KPI) - Best Practice".On this occasion, we describe several important matters regarding the role of student affairs in fulfilling KPI, including: implementation of MBKM, BELMAWA and PUSPRESNAS programs, development and revitalization of student body, increasing cooperation with foreign universities and increasing cooperation with domestic universities.

Abstract

The aims of the service is to provide information and education to the people in the Sumber Mulyo, one of sub-district in Binjai especially the members of ‘Satu Hati’ Garbage Bank. regarding household waste management and provide practical training to develop new products with higher economic value by empowering garbage. This activity was carried out in the form of lectures and training on Maggot cultivation (Black Fly Soldier / BFS) and egg shell processing which was attended by members of the 'Satu Hati’ Waste Bank. Through this activity of organic eggshell waste it is hoped that members of the ‘Satu Hati’ Garbage Bank will gain new knowledge that can be practically implemented to deal with waste and can also receive economic benefits through the processing and Maggot cultivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to provide enrichment of math material for grade 3 students who support in solving elementary math problems, and provide training in working on elementary math problems. This service activity lasts for a month and is carried out after school hours are finished. Free tutoring activities are carried out with the aim of teaching students to be able to overcome the problem of decreased interest in learning and low ability of students in mathematics, due to the length of the online learning process due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The community service team carried out PKM activities at SD Negeri 040457 Berastagi from February 2 2022 to February 26 2022, every Tuesday to Friday for one and a half hours. This service activity is carried out with an emphasis on strategies for working on short questions and description questions. Evaluation of the implementation of activities is carried out by holding a free test / giving questions to work on before the activity and the post test is retested after the activity. The learning process is carried out with guidance in small classes and using learning media such as lists of numbers, addition tables, multiplication tables, etc. to attract students' interest. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' interest in learning and math skills up to 75%. This proves that students can be more enthusiastic about learning if mentoring and direct interaction are provided.

Abstract

Community service is carried out to welcome the obligatory halal food and beverage on October 17, 2024. Most micro and small businesses do not understand. The methods used are 1) exploring the understanding of halal certification, 2) conducting socialization of mandatory halal, 3) providing assistant staff for processing halal products by conducting training, and 4) assisting in registering self-declared halal certification through the Si Halal application. The results of community service activities provided 140 assistants in the process of halal products and issued halal certificates for food and beverage products owned by micro-small business actors in 91 certificates. Some obstacles are faced by unstable internet connection, the motivation of assistants and business actors fluctuate, the ability to operate gadgets is still limited, and many business actors do not have NPWP and NIB. As the obligation for halal certification is getting closer, it is necessary to socialize the obligation for halal certification more massively so that all business actors immediately take care of the halal certification of their products.

Abstract

Lembaga gereja memiliki karateristik yang berbeda dengan entitas bisnis. Gereja mendapatkan sumber energi dari sumbangan berbentuk kolekte ataupun asset yang diperoleh dari jemaat itu sendiri ataupun dari luar jemaat. Gereja HKBP, begitu pula dengan Gereja HKBP Cinta Damai, tidak membuat standar buat novel kas gereja. Sehingga audit buat kas gereja di Gereja HKBP Cinta Damai susah buat memandang akuntabelnya. Gereja HKBP Cinta Damai diharapkan bisa membuat terlebih dulu standarbuku kas gereja yang simpel Bila standar novel kas gereja tersebut telah terbuat dipakai serta sesuai bisa rasanya dipakai oleh pengurus keuangan Gereja HKBP Cinta Damai.

Abstract

Remaja adalah individu yang berada dalam rentang usia 10-13 tahun sampai dengan sekitar usia dua puluh tahun. Masa remaja merupakan masa yang genting secara psikologis mengingat berbagai perubahan yang signifikan terjadi dalam fase ini yang mencakup aspek biologis, kognitif, dan sosioemosional. Penerimaan diri yang positif adalah tugas penting yang harus dicapai oleh remaja sebagai pondasi bagi pembentukan identitas diri yang kuat. Identitas diri yang kuat menolong remaja untuk mampu mengatasi berbagai situasi yang berpotensi menimbulkan masalah psikologis seperti stress, depresi, kesepian, dan lainnya. Kegiatan pengabdian ini mengusung tema pengembangan diri remaja dimana melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan remaja memahami karakteristik perkembangan remaja dari sudut pandang psikologi, mendorong remaja untuk melakukan upaya mengenali diri dan menerima diri secara positif, dan membantu remaja untuk menyadari pentingnya bagi mereka untuk bersikap aktif dalam mengisi masa remaja dengan produktif dan sehat secara psikologis. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk seminar dimana pesertanya adalah remaja gereja dengan rentang usia dari 11 sampai 20 tahun yang berjumlah sekitar 80 orang. Kegiatan seminar ini dilaksanakan di Gereja HKBP Simalingkar B Resort Kwala Bekala, Medan. Kegiatan diawali dengan ibadah singkat, lalu dilanjutkan dengan ice breaking, kemudian sesi pemaparan materi, dilanjutkan dengan sesi diskusi dan diakhiri dengan bernyanyi dan berdoa bersama.

Abstract

Penyakit cacingan merupakan penyakit parasit yang masih banyak menginfeksi manusia terutama pada anak-anak. Prevalensi kejadian cacingan di seluruh dunia untuk anak usia pra sekolah diperkirakan mencapai 267 juta dan pada anak usia sekolah diperkirakan mencapai 568 juta anak hidup di daerah yang terdapat penularan parasit. Tingginya infeksi cacing pada anak disebabkan oleh kebiasaan bermain atau kontak dengan tanah dengan tidak memperhatikan kebersihan, kebiasaan anak yang tidak memperhatikan personal hygiene seperti memotong kuku, mencuci tangan dengan menggunakan sabun sebelum dan setelah makan serta bermain dan menggunakan alas kaki. Oleh karena itu diperlukan tindakan yang tepat dan cepat untuk mengetahui infeksi kecacingan pada anak usia sekolah dasar agar tidak menyebabkan gangguan kesehatan. Tujuan kegiatan ini yaitu untuk melakukan edukasi dan pemeriksaan kecacingan pada anak SDN. Baddoka Kota Makassar. Pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan edukasi metode penyuluhan dan pemeriksaan kecacingan pada 30 anak yang berusia 7 sampai 12 tahun. Setelah penyuluhan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan tentang infeksi kecacingan dan cara mencegah infeksi kecacingan. Selain itu, dilakukan pemeriksaan telur cacing pada feses 30 anak didapatkan 8 anak terinfeksi Nematoda usus. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan anak terhadap infeksi kecacingan. Kata Kunci: Anak, Edukasi, Kecacingan
