Abstract

The assistance of the dairy farmers community in implementing the use of herbal probiotics as an innovation program requires communication. This program is a behavior change program in dairy farming by farmers. The communication needed is intensive between companion and community. This is an interaction between the two because of cooperation. Collaboration because of the same interest, so it must be communicated. It also requires communication that can lead to collective action, because there is participation in the process of change / development. Communication is a feature of development communication. Therefore, the aim of the study is to explain development communication in the assistance of the community of dairy farmers. The method used is qualitative research methods. The study was conducted in the village of Nogosaren, Getasan sub-district, Semarang Regency. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The population is 932 breeders, which are used to attract informants as research samples. The technique of collecting data using in-depth interviews. The results of the study indicate that the interaction between companion and community requires a centralized model of communication to collaborate. There are three main elements in centralized communication, which are contained in mentoring activities. Mentoring activities about program socialization are elements of physical reality. Mentoring activities on identifying community problems, awareness of farmers to improve livestock cultivation, application of herbal probiotic innovations including supporting elements of use and how to procure supporting elements, are elements of psychological reality. Mentoring activities on community agreements in the implementation of procurement of support for the use and use of herbal probiotics are an element of social reality. In social reality, there is a community's interest in engaging in activities that are not separated from their basic needs, namely, increasing milk yields to increase income. Discussion of research results; development communication, which is communication for change, is needed in every assistance. All realities which are the main elements are used to convey information needed by the community, educational efforts for the community, increasing knowledge and increasing skills to be able to implement the program. The four stages carried out by the companion contained communication. The conclusion of the study is development communication or communication for change using a centralized communication model. This model colors the entire farmer community assistance activities, because in the mentoring steps there are elements of a centralized communication model, namely physical, psychological and social reality.

Abstract

Social campaigns are carried out to increase public awareness and behavior of various issues faced by a country. The development of the digital era now demands that campaigns be enjoyed and seen through online media. One of the social campaign activities was the Banten Children's Learning Palace (ISBANBAN), which involved young Bantenese in contributing to education in the area by using new media. This study aims to find out and describe the ISBANBAN social campaign communication strategy with the social marketing communication approach. This research is a qualitative research with a case study strategy that takes campaign activities through new media. The main data obtained through in-depth interviews and observations. The research findings provide an overview of the social marketing communication strategy carried out by ISBANBAN that connects offline interactions, namely teaching activities in remote Banten with online interaction, namely social media as the main channel in social marketing that aims to build brand awareness for donations, through new media information that gives more broad so it is expected to reach further adopter target targets. Target adopters of multiplayer donations that not only contribute funds but also energy and thought in an effort to advance education in remote Banten.

Abstract

The digital age has brought changes to both farmers and extension workers. In carrying out communication activities in the diffusion of innovations, an appropriate communication strategy is needed, so that the message is easily understood by farmers and facilitates the development of farmer groups. This paper is the result of a study that aims to describe farmers 'perceptions of instructor communication strategies in utilizing information media and measuring farmers' communication actions in the application of rice cultivation to support food security. The research location is in Sirah Pulau Padang Village, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The research method used was a survey with a purposive sampling method for six farmer groups that carried out rice cultivation, a sample of 30 farmers. Interviews were conducted with questionnaires as primary data, while secondary data was obtained from the related institutions. Data analysis to measure farmers' perceptions of instructor communication strategies and communication actions of farmers in rice cultivation was carried out by calculating scores. The results showed that the communication strategies used by extension agents were positively perceived by farmers. Likewise, the communication actions of farmers in rice cultivation are high. In particular, the authors review communication strategies that can be implemented so that farmers can take communication actions in rice cultivation, in supporting food security in the digital era and several important recommendations are delivered.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of service quality in handling pre-crisis cases through social media on the image of PT KCI. The method used is a quantitative method using a semantic differential scale. The analytical method used is a simple linear regression analysis method. The results showed that commuter line users assessed the quality of service in handling crisis provided by PT KCI. The empathy variable is a concept that plays an important role in determining the company's image in crisis communication. The implication of this research is that companies need to maintain and improve service quality in handling crisis on social media so that the company's image improves. In the context of development communication, companies need to have empathy for users in order to be able to carry out effective crisis communication.

Abstract

FMA (Farmers Managed Extension Activities) atau Kegiatan Penyuluhan yang Dikelola oleh Petani bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan petani sebagai wirausaha agribisnis dalam mengakses dan mengelola informasi dan inovasi secara mandiri dalam mengembangkan agribisnisnya dalam rangka meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan pelaku utama (petani). Penelitian ini bertujuan merumuskan strategi diseminasi FMA di Kabupaten Temanggung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis dengan alat analisis yaitu SWOT. Hasil penelitian ini berupa rumusan strategi diseminasi FMA di Kabupaten Temanggung meliputi : Sosialisasi intensif terkait kebutuhan pengayaan informasi dan skill bagi petani untuk meningkatkan motivasi dalam mengakses dan mengelola informasi secara mandiri, Peningkatan akses petani terhadap informasi teknologi budidaya, pengolahan hasil, dan pemasaran melalui berbagai media komunikasi, Peningkatan kapasitas penyuluh/pendamping (PNS, THL, swadaya) dalam hal teknologi budidaya, pengolahan hasil, pemasaran, kewirausahaan dan penguasaan akses teknologi informasi, Peningkatan anggaran dan fasilitas (sarana prasarana) untuk kegiatan penyuluhan dan kelembagaan (pos penyuluhan desa), Pengaturan reward and punishment bagi penyuluh swadaya untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan kinerja dalam penyebarluasan dan pendampingan FMA, Fasilitasi media knowledge sharing antar petani (petani yang telah mengadopsi FMA dan yang belum) sebagai upaya diseminasi FMA, Peningkatan advokasi petani untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengelola informasi melalui kerjasama antara pemerintah, lembaga riset, dan perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

Television is one of the mass media that is very popular and has a tendency to be able to influence and meet the needs of its audience, including children. One of the television shows good packed for children is the animated film, which titled Adit Sopo Jarwo. The objectives of the study were: (1) to describe watching intensity of the animated film Adit Sopo Jarwo and children's social interaction in Al Azhar Elementary School Depok City and Cipayung Eementary School Depok City, West Java, (2) to analyze intensity effect of watching the animated film Adit Sopo Jarwo on children's social interactio in Al Azhar 46 Islamic Elementary School, Depok City, and Cipayung Elementary School Depok City, West Java. Research with a quantitative approach to survey research desgin. The number of respondents in the study were 75 respondents. Slovin formula was applied for sampling technique and ordinal logistic regression test was applied for data analysis. The results showed that: (1) the intensity decription of watching Adit Sopo Jarwo and children's social interactions in both schools had different values. Students in SD Cipayung having a high watching intensity compared to Al Azhar Islamic Elementary School. Child social interaction in both schools shows a positive direction by establishing unity and increasing solidarity among group members. (2) the intensity of watching Adit Sopo Jarwo affected children's social interaction.

Abstract

Indonesia mempunyai sejarah panjang terkait konflik agraria yang menyertakan petani di dalamnya. Salah satunya seperti yang terjadi di Caringin, Sukabumi dimana petani berhadapan dengan perusahaan dalam konflik agraria. Petani menganggap ada dominasi ketidakadilan karena tanah yang mereka garap ternyata surat hak gunanya adalah atas nama perusahaan. Kondisi ini memunculkan gerakan sosial perlawanan dari petani yang dalam prosesnya banyak dipengaruhi oleh peran intelektual organik yang terdiri dari Organisasi non Pemerintah serta mahasiswa yang dibantu oleh tokoh tani lokal. Pengaruh tersebut salah satunya berupa penyadaran kepada petani. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis strategi para aktor dalam proses penyadaran petani yang terbagi dalam kesadaran magis, naif dan kritis melalui komunikasi dialogis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi kasus konflik agraria yang terjadi di Caringin Sukabumi antara petani sebagai penggarap lahan dan PT. SNN sebagai pemegang hak guna bangunan (HGB) atas lahan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan strategi komunikasi dialogis membawa perubahan kesadaran petani menjadi lebih kritis walaupun kesadaran naif masih melekat sehingga memunculkan jenis kesadaran baru berupa kesadaran naif kritis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat komunikasi KPPPA melalui situs resimnya dalam mengeduksi pembaca tentang peran pengasuhan dan peran kontrol dalam keluarga. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori peran komunikasi keluarga dari Beth A. Le Poire. Penelitian dilakukan dari Mei hingga Agustus 2019 dengan menggunakan metode analisis isi sistematik dari Berelson. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah KPPPA telah memproduksi artikel-artikel di situs resminya secara seimbang mengenai peran pengasuhan dan peran kontrol dalam keluarga, namun situs resmi KPPPA sendiri belum dapat menjaring pembaca secara luas. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa humas KPPPA telah tepat dalam memproduksi konten mengenai komunikasi keluarga.

Abstract

People's salt production in Surabaya mainly relies on mantongan, a name for salt production labor in Madura. Mantongan experiences discrimination and pressure from its landlord and strives to resist the oppression. Pierre Bourdieu believes that the oppressor can practice a doxa to strengthen their position in the social structure. This doxa could only be diminished when a heterodoxa appeared. This study is aimed to analyze how heterodoxa and doxa operate in the habitus between mantongan and the landlord. This study uses qualitative method with a critical approach. The informant of this study are mantongan and landlord in Surabaya. Pierre Bourdieu's Social Practice is used as theory. This study shows that heterodoxa could only be achieved when the social structure dwindles. This finding contradicts Bourdieu's concept of heterodoxa. The group communication of community salt production, showed that mantongan is able to contest and rebel under the pressure of the landlord. The concept of doxa and orthodoxy here is no longer valid when mantongan is in its lowest point. This result is seen as an anomaly in Bourdieu’s thought of social practice.

Abstract

Pembangunan menyebabkan semakin hilangnya Kampung-kampung yang sarat nilai sejarah dan budayasebagai identitas Kota Semarang. Menggunakan Model Pentahelix, penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengetahui bagaimana elemen kota mempertahankan budaya kampung sebagai identitas Kota Semarang.Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalahwawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah, komunitas, swasta,akademisi, dan media telah berperan aktif. Meski demikian kolaborasi antar elemen masih perluditingkatkan, sehingga mampu memunculkan sinergitas dari setiap langkah yang diambil.
