Abstract

The purposes of this research were to find out the role of KPBS Pangalengan in the empowerment of dairy farmers, the empowerment of dairy farmers in TPK Cipanas, and corelation between the role of KPBS Pangalengan with the empowerment of dairy farmers in TPK Cipanas. The research method was survey with questionnaires to 30 dairy farmers. The data obtained was analyzed by spearman rank analysis. The results showed that the role of cooperatives in the empowerment of dairy farmers was in the high category (63.33%), farmer empowerment in medium category (56.67%), and the correlation between the role of KPBS Pangalengan with the empowerment of dairy farmers in TPK Cipanas showed a positive relation with rs = 0.642. Abstract

This study aims to determine gender roles and gender relations in the family of female farm workers in the Mulyo Asri women's planting team in Pontang Village, Ambulu Sub-district, Jember District. The theory used in the research uses the theory of Gender. This study used a qualitative approach, with the method of determining informants using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this study by means of in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation study. Methods of data analysis in this study using the analysis method of Harvard and Miles and Huberman. The data validity test used technical triangulation and source triangulation testing techniques. The results of this study are the division of labor in the family of female farm workers, which includes productive activities, reproductive activities, and social activities. From an emic perspective, the participation of a wife in work is something that is normal and often happens. From an ethical perspective, there is a gender issue, namely the existence of a heavier workload experienced by the wife. The relationship that exists in the family of female farm workers is in the form of access to control over resources and benefits carried out by the family of female farm workers in Pontang Village, Ambulu Sub-district, Jember District. Abstract

This study aims to analyse the relationship between farmers characteristics and the level of adoption innovation in making bokashi fertilizer from cow waste in Cukurgondang village Grati subdistict Pasuruan regency. This study was conducted in Cukurgondang village Grati subdistict Pasuruan regency. The study’s method using survey methods with quantitative descriptive data analysis. Sample determination according Arikunto (2012) that samples are 25% from population. Determination of sample use Simple Random Sampling technique and sampling of this study are 49 people. Independent variable is farmer’s characteristics (include age, formal education, nonformal education, experience, land area and income) and the dependent variable is the adoption innovation in making bokashi fertilizer from cow waste. Data analysis using Spearman Rank correlation test to determine the relationship between farmers characteristics and the level of farmers adoption in making bokashi fertilizer from cow waste. The result showed that the level of adoption innovation in making bokashi fertilizer from cow waste in Cukurgondang village Grati subdistict Pasuruan regency is low. Farmers characteristics which have significant related to the adoption in making bokashi fertilizer from cow waste are age, formal education, nonformal education and experience. Abstract

Forest management carried out by the Panti District community in collaboration with Perhutani is regulated through an agroforestrybased Social Forestry program. This study focuses on the role and contribution of stakeholders to the agroforestry program, the household income of agroforestry farmers and the contribution of the household income of agroforestry and non-agroforestry farmers. The research method uses analytical descriptive. The sampling method used purposive sampling and incidental sampling. The data collection method used primary and secondary data. The data analysis tool uses quantitative description, income analysis and analysis of household income contribution of agroforestry farmers. The results showed that: (1) LMDH Rengganis acts as a policy creator, coordinator, facilitator, and implementer. Perhutani has a role as coordinator, facilitator and accelerator. KLHK acts as a policy creator. SDInpres and Bank BRI have a role as a facilitator. Community Empowerment Team (TPM) as facilitator and accelerator. Cabang Dinas Kehutanan (CDK) Wilayah Jember as facilitator, coordinator and accelerator. Village government as coordinator; (2) The average income of agroforestry is Rp. 24,673,333/year and is classified as profitable; (3) The contribution of agroforestry to LMDH Rengganis farmers in Pakis Village, Panti Subdistrict is categorized as high with a percentage of 84%.. Abstract

Forest management carried out by the Panti District community in The performance of agricultural extension workers is starting to be felt by farmers, but in terms of farmers' perceptions of the performance of agricultural extension workers which are considered less than optimal because in the implementation of the extension there are obstacles such as differences in schedules between agricultural extension workers and farmer groups, many group members do not participate in extension activities. this. Regarding these obstacles, it is necessary to conduct a more in-depth study of farmers' perceptions of the performance of agricultural extension workers in Torongrejo Village, Junrejo District, Batu City. This study aims to analyze farmers' perceptions and the factors that influence farmers' perceptions of the performance of agricultural extension workers in Torongrejo Village, Junrejo District, Batu City. The technique of determining respondents in this study was simple random sampling. The number of respondents as many as 50 people is calculated based on the slovin formula. Data were collected by means of observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The analytical method used is Multiple Linear Regression with the help of SPSS (Software Program for Social Science) software. ). The ordinal scale data is converted to an interval scale with MSI (Methode of Successive Interval). Before the multiple linear regression analysis was tested, the classical assumption test, normality test, heteroscedasticity test and multicollinearity test were carried out. Based on the results of the analysis of the level of perception of farmers on the performance of the instructor as an initiator of 76%, as a motivator by 78%, as an educator by 78%, as a communicator by 79% and as a facilitator by 75% so that it can be said that the role that has been carried out by agricultural extension workers is categorized as good. The performance of agricultural instructors as initiators, motivators, educators, communicators and facilitators significantly influences the level of farmers' perceptions of the performance of agricultural extension workers. Abstract

This study aims to study the support characteristics of Tulungrejo Village Farmers for the development of "Bon Deso" Agrotourism which is being developed by the Tulungrejo Village Government. This research was conducted in Tulungrejo Village, Kec. Bumiaji, Batu City with the method of determining the location that is purposive. The population of this study were all members of the farmer group in Tulungrejo Village as many as 646 farmers, while for the sample of this study as many as 87 farmers were obtained using the Slovin formula and the determination was made using simple random sampling. This research method is a survey with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and research instruments and data analysis techniques using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the description of farmers in Tulungrejo Village were mostly 36-45 years old with an average length of formal education of 6-9 years which was equivalent to elementary-junior high school education. Non-formal education also contributes to understanding the development of agro-tourism is counseling. The average farmer owns an area of ​​0.01-1.21 ha with farming experience 18-30 years. Income level Rp. 700,000 – Rp. 7,100,000 with a predominant livelihood as farmers. Such conditions are very possible for agro-tourism managers to collaborate with farmers to contribute to agro-tourism as a means for them to improve their welfare. Abstract

Klatakan village has a tourist spot-based ecotourism sector which is Blekok village. Blekok Village is managed by the Environmental Service Department of Situbondo, tourism awareness group, and village government. It is also supported by the local community and other parties. Thus, it shows a cooperation among themselves which social capital is needed, like networks, trust, and social norms in managing Blekok Ecotourism village. The aim of this research is to describe the meaning and the types of social capital in managing Blekok ecotourism village. The method used in determining area of this research was purposive method. This research was a qualitative case study. In determining the research informants, purposive sampling method was used. Data were collected by interviews, observation, and documentation which were analyzed by the Miles and Huberman methods. The results of this research are: 1) Cooperation network of Tourism Awareness Group, Environmental Service, Village Government, community and outside parties; 2) Written norms in the form of income sharing, rental rates, prohibition of plastic waste, prohibition of selling the same product, period of support. Unwritten norms consist of exemption from entry ticket fees for employees and the Klatakan community, cleanliness, prohibition of selling expensive products, rules for working hours, distribution of parking fees, meeting attendance, being on time; 3) Trust goes well. However, there are still concerns because it is prone to fraud. The hope is to be more advanced, increase human resources, support in the form of facilities, play an active role, and can improve the economy. Interactions are work coordination, mutual assistance, communication, and job evaluation. Types of Social Capital are divided into 3, namely: 1) Bonding in the form of Mutual Value, kinship, and tolerance; 2) Bridging in the form of a Tourism Awareness Group bridging the community with outsiders, the Environment Service bridging the Tourism Awareness Group with outsiders; 3) Linking in the form of cooperation between the management and external parties. Abstract

Community forests are a tangible form of integration between forests as environmental buffers and providers of basic human needs, and the surrounding community as managers to benefit from forests. Community forest management is carried out by the community who must be given guidance by extension workers with a better role for community forest management. This study aims to determine the relationship between the implementation of the community forestry program and the performance of forestry extension workers. The research will be carried out at UPTD KPH Pematang Neba and UPTD KPH Batu Serob. Respondents for this research were forestry extension workers from the Lampung Provincial Forestry Service who were spread throughout the UPTD KPH, amounting to only 118 people. The research was conducted in August – October 2020. The method used in this study was a survey method. The relationship between the implementation of the HKm program and the performance of forestry instructors was analyzed using the Spearman rank test. The results showed that the relationship between the implementation of the HKm program and the performance of the forestry instructor was 0.556 with a significance value of 0.000, so it can be concluded that the implementation of the HKm program and the performance of the forestry instructor had a significant positive relationship. Abstract

The contribution of extension and the use of innovation in agriculture, especially red chili, is needed by farmers to improve agricultural development. Agricultural extension to the red chili farming community in Tamansari Village, Wuluhan District, Jember Regency, East Java, to improve farmers' knowledge and skills regarding an innovation and help increase production. The application of extension methods to red chili farmers has different responses in accepting an innovation or technology. The purpose of this study was to find out how the use of extension methods through individual, group and mass methods in the innovation adoption process by red chili farmers. This research is qualitative by presenting a complete picture of the social condition of the phenomenon and analyzed by Miles and Hubberman. Determination of informants in this study was carried out using purposive sampling method, this study had 1 key informant namely the head of the farmer group and 10 supporting informants in this study which was carried out using the snowball sampling method, namely extension workers, formulators and farmers who were active in extension activities. The results showed that counseling was carried out using 3 methods, namely individual methods with home visits, land visits, informal contacts and inquiry. Group method with lecture, discussion, demonstration and field school techniques. Mass method with campaign technique, internet, radio and television. After counseling with 3 methods and each technique, farmers can accept and apply a technological innovation, namely: a) organic pesticides, b) the use of Plant Growth Promoting Rhyzobacteria (PGPR), c) tractors, d) diesel engines, e) charcoal husks, f) water pumping machines, g) demonstration plots of fertilizers and pesticides, h) superior seeds, i) partners with Bank Mandiri & BNI, j) cooperation with PT Dirga Guna Wibawa (DGW), PT Advanta and PT Arista, k) use of internet media. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to : 1) knowing the adoption rate of the AUTP Program, 2) analyzing factocrs that affect the adoption rate of the AUTP Program, 3) knowing the obstacles faced by farmers in adopting the AUTP Program. This study uses a survey methods on farmers who are members of farmers group and follow the AUTP Program. Respondents to this study numbered 39 farmers. Data analysis methods use descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study show that the adoption rate of the AUTP Program in Pekon Tulung Agung, Gadingrejo District, Pringsewu Regency belongs to the low category for the growing season indicators included, while for indicators of the area of insured land is still in the moderate category, factors that have a real effect on the adoption rate of the AUTP Program include the level of complexity of the AUTP Program, the social environmental influence of farmers, and the role of the extension as a facilitator. The obstacles faced by farmers in adopting the AUTP Program lie at the time of registration and filing of claims. Keyword: Adaption rate, AUTP Program
