Abstract

Pandemic Covid-19 in 2022 will continue and of course bring changes to the habits of human life in the world, especially in Indonesia, these changes bring new habits to human activities that make them study, work and worship from home, this certainly brings changes to the learning system that implemented in every educational institution that brings changes to the learning system, namely the Distance System. In 2021 the Malahayati Merchant Marine Polytechnic will develop a new distance learning technology called the Smart Campus. The development can provide convenience for various parties, namely students, educators, and education staff responsible for the implementation of the distance learning system at the Malahayati Merchant Marine Polytechnic. The purpose of this study was to examine in terms of the effectiveness of using a smart campus as a technology in the implementation of distance learning, it certainly wanted to observe the relation to the learning achievement of students and the activeness of lecturers in implementing distance learning using a smart campus. This research method uses This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection methods that will be used in the study are interviews, questionnaires, observation, and documentation. To test the hypothesis, a multiple regression measuring instrument (multiple regression) will be used where the amount of Y (learning achievement) quantitatively will be known from each variable X. The results of this study show that based on the results of the study, the calculated > Ftable > 2,311] at the significance level 50,725 = 5%, it states that simultaneously (together) the smart campus application variable affects the learning achievement of participants studied at the Malahayati Merchant Marine Polytechnic.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe a valid, practical, and effective GeoGebra-assisted learning media to improve students' spatial mathematical abilities on flat-shaped materials and describe the process of students' answers on spatial abilities. This type of research is research and development using the Hannafin and Peck model (analysis, design, development, and implementation stages). The research was conducted at one of the junior high schools in Labuhan Deli, namely SMP Negeri 1 Labuhan Deli which is located at Jalan Veteran Pasar IV Helvetia, Labuhan Deli, Deli Serdang in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The sample of this research is the students of class VIII-1 SMP Negeri 1 Labuhan Deli, totaling 16 students. The sampling technique using purposive sampling. The result of this research is a valid, practical, and effective learning media assisted by GeoGebra software. The learning media was declared valid based on the assessment of three media and materials experts with a percentage of validity of 87.61% and 85.06%, respectively, in the very feasible category. The media is declared practical based on the student response questionnaire with a percentage of 89.45% which has a very practical category. The effectiveness of learning media is based on the n-gain value of 0.453 with the interpretation that there is an increase in the medium category. Based on these results, the developed media is feasible to use to improve students' mathematical spatial abilities. In this study, it was found that the answer process of students who received learning using media assisted by the GeoGebra software was better and received a positive response from students.

Abstract

The research aimed to find out (1) Teaching strategies used by teacher in improving students’ English language skills. (2) The students’perception of teaching strategy used by teacher in improving students’ English language skills. The data were conducted on August 2022 from the teacher and students of tenth grades at SMK Negeri 3 Pati. This research used descriptive qualitative method; the instruments were an observation and interview. The observation was used to observe the teacher of the tenth-grade students at SMK N 3 Pati and the interview was distributed to the students of the tenth grade. The research findings showed that the English teaching strategies used by teachers help improve students' language skills. By using Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp and several learning support media in the form of modules, teachers and students were able to find new ideas and express them every day. However, there are some students who have negative views about the teaching strategies that teachers use to improve their students' language skills. This is based on the students' disinterest and a sense of laziness and fear to learn English as a foreign language.

Abstract

This study was based on the fact that there are still many students who have not mastered the vocabulary correctly, and only a few students have mastered the vocabulary. The study aims to determine how much the "Cruella" film contributrd to students' vocabulary knowledge and how their reactions to the film affected their ability to master new words. This type of research is called "experimental research" with participated by 26 students. Quantitative design was used as the research method in this study. The term “experimental research” describes the type of study in which 26 students participated. Pre-experimental design with a One-Group Pretest-Postest type was used in this research, and pre-and post-test were used to collect the data. The t-test statistic was utilized with a significant level of alpha 0.05 for outcome. The procedure produced a t_score > t_table is 20,23 > 1,70, showing H_1 was approved. The researcher concluded that “Cruella” film helped students in MAN 1 Brebes learn more vocabulary. Furthermore, the student response to questionnaire on the usage of the media “Cruella” movie was very positive, and they appeared excited, calm, and comfortable when learning and during the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the effect of learning by giving scaffolding on students' understanding of geometric concepts, (2) the improvement of students' understanding of geometry concepts taught through learning by giving scaffolding, (3) the advantages of learning by giving scaffolding, and (4) the disadvantages of learning by giving scaffolding. This type of research includes descriptive qualitative research using library research methods. The data in this study were obtained from a collection of literature such as theses and journals that are relevant to the topic of discussion, namely understanding students' geometric concepts through learning by providing scaffolding. The results show that, 1) Learning by giving scaffolding has a great effect on students' understanding of geometric concepts based on the overall effect size calculation which produces an average effect size of 0.994 where this number is included in the high category. 2) There is an increase in the students' understanding of geometric concepts that are taught through learning by giving scaffolding. This can be seen from the achievement of indicators in the experimental class in the literature which is generally better than the control class. 3) Based on the analysis, it was found that the advantages of learning by providing scaffolding are (a) Can encourage students to find the concepts independently, (b) A great motivational tool to increase students' confidence in learning geometry concepts, (c) Make students more engaged in the learning process, (d) Make students more creative to reason, (e) Potential to optimize a quality learning environment. 4) The weakness of learning by providing scaffolding is that students need to adapt to the types of scaffolding used, especially technology-based and if the teacher does not understand the scaffolding, students will experience difficulties and scaffolding also takes a relatively long time.

Abstract

Gangguan hiperaktif dapat ditemukan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari pada anak usia sekolah hingga remaja, salah satunya yaitu ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). ADHD adalah kondisi medis yang meliputi disfungsi otak ketika seseorang mengalami kesulitan mengendalikan impuls, menghambat perilaku, dan tidak mendukung rentang perhatian atau mudah teralihkan dari mereka. Gejala ADHD meliputi keinginan terus-menerus untuk bergerak, ketidakmampuan berkonsentrasi, dan impulsif menyebabkan kesulitan belajar dan kesulitan berinteraksi dengan anak lain. Kegiatan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan literasi melalui media komik kartun bersambung dengan pendekatan kontekstual pada anak ADHD. Metode penelitian kualitatif penelitian ini adalah berdasarkan tinjauan pustaka melalui pendekatakan kontekstual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Komik dapat digunakan untuk mengajarkan anak ADHD melalui pendekatan literasi, yang secara tidak langsung dapat meningkatkan kinerja belajar.

Abstract

Upaya perlindungan anak dalam pandangan Islam. perlindungan anak telah menjadi isu penting dalam dunia modern. untuk menjamin masa depan generasi penerus, anak memperoleh perlindungan dari segala macam bentuk gangguan, ancaman dan kekerasan yang dilakukan oleh orang dewasa atau orang tua itu sendiri. perlindungan ini tidak hanya dibebankan untuk orang tua saja tetapi tanggung jawab setiap orang, masyarakat, bahkan negara. artikel ini membahas tentang isu perlindungan anak dalam pandangan Islam. studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa hukum Islam itu komprehensif dalam menjamin kepentingan anak. jaminan ini dimulai sejak anak dalam janin hingga dewasa. hal ini dapat dipahami dari ketentuan syariat Islam tentang hak-hak anak dalam menjalankan kehidupannya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Pembelajaran Ritmik melalui Media Alat Musik berbasis Lingkungan di SD Labschool UPI. Fokus permasalahan yang dikaji meliputi materi yang diajarkan, metode yang digunakan, dan hasil dari pembelajaran ritmik untuk siswa kelas VI di SD Labschool UPI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analisis melalui pendekatan kualitatif. Metode tersebut digunakan untuk menguraikan dan menggambarkan, serta menganalisis fenomena pembelajaran ritmik. Penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, wawancara, studi literatur, dan dokumentasi. Data tersebut diolah kemudian dianalisis untuk memperoleh pengertian dan makna yang berguna dalam memecahkan permasalahan yang ada pada pertanyaan penelitian. Materi yang diajarkan diajarkan lebih menitikberatkan kepada pola ritmik sederhana menggunakan media alat musik berbasis lingkungan. Metode pembelajarannya adalah metode ceramah, metode demonstrasi, imitasi, (kodaly), dan metode drill. Pertimbangan metode tersebut agar pembelajaran lebih bervariatif dan hasil pembelajaran ritmik dengan menggunakan alat lingkungan memberikan dampak terhadap kepekaan rasa irama siswa, stabilitas tempo, serta kepedulian terhadap lingkungan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model manajemen di dalam pondok pesantren. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan library research. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini bersifat deduktif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif. Metode penelitian kualitatif digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan, mencatat, menganalisis, dan menginterprestasikan kondisi-kondisi yang ada dan sedang berlangsung. Dengan metode deskriptif penulis menghimpun data, menyusunnya secara sistematis, faktual dan cermat. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa model manajemen pondok pesantren dibagi menjadi dua yaitu: model manajemen pesantren modern dan model manajemen pesantren tradisional. Manajemen merupakan ilmu vital dalam segala aspek keilmuan terlebih dalam jalannya suatu lembaga pendidikan. Pondok pesantren dalam membangun peradaban di masa mendatang perlu memiliki manajemen yang baik dalam mengatur lembaganya. Pondok pesantren dalam melaksanakan manajemen perlu melaksanakan tujuh prinsip-prinsip manajemen yaitu: ikhlas, kejujuran, amanah, adil, tanggung jawab, dinamis, praktis, dan fleksibel.

Abstract

This research was conducted to know the effectiveness of using pictorial reading in improving students’ reading interest in MTS N 1 Grobogan. This research was a quantitative design method with a quasi-experimental design. There were 2 classes used in this research, the experimental group which was taught with pictorial reading, and the control group which was taught without pictorial reading. The result of this research shows that there was a significant difference between both classes. It can be seen from the data analysis by using a t-test. T-value is 11,3430600014, with a level of significance of 5% with df 58, the t_table is 2,001. It shows that t-value>t-table. So, Na is rejected, and Ha is accepted. The mean of students’ post-test scores in the control group was 62,83, and the mean of students’ post-test scores in the experimental group was 80. So, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the students’ reading interests who were taught with pictorial reading and the students’ reading interests who were taught without pictorial reading.
