Abstract

This study examines the use of abbreviated language in Indonesian song lyrics through a pragmatic study, focusing on the communicative functions emerging from the use of abbreviations, acronyms, and non-standard forms. The purpose of this study is to analyze the pragmatic meaning of condensed language in Indonesian song lyrics and identify the dominant communicative functions within them. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, incorporating George Yule's pragmatic theory and the concept of concise communication in popular language. The research data consists of words, phrases, and abbreviated expressions such as HTS, TTS, EGP, anjay, cepmek, jablay, and meriang found in popular Indonesian song lyrics. Data collection techniques include documentation and recording of selected song lyrics, which are then analyzed using contextual pragmatic analysis methods. The results indicate that condensed language in song lyrics has various pragmatic functions, such as expressiveness, social identity, humor, social criticism, and implicature. Furthermore, the use of abbreviated language also shapes certain communicative functions, particularly those of romance, youth identity, popular lifestyles, and emotional expression. The abbreviated language used in song lyrics is not only to facilitate communication but also to strengthen emotional closeness between songwriter and listener. This research shows that the phenomenon of abbreviated language in song lyrics is part of the development of digital communication culture and linguistic creativity in modern society.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has significantly increased the volume and complexity of data managed by organizations across various sectors. This condition requires Database Management Systems (DBMS) to process data efficiently while maintaining accuracy, security, and reliability. One of the key factors influencing DBMS performance is the implementation of programming algorithms for searching, sorting, indexing, query optimization, transaction management, and data storage. This article aims to analyze the role of programming algorithms in improving data processing efficiency through DBMS optimization. The study employs a literature review approach by examining relevant books and scientific publications. The findings indicate that implementing algorithms such as Binary Search, Merge Sort, Quick Sort, B-Tree, B+Tree, Hashing, Indexing, Caching, Query Optimization, and Transaction Processing improves query execution speed, optimizes computational resource utilization, maintains data consistency, and enhances system security. Although challenges remain, including Big Data, real-time processing, and scalability, appropriate algorithm implementation significantly improves DBMS efficiency, performance, speed, accuracy, and reliability, enabling effective data management across various application domains.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the concept of ‘Made Self’ education within the context of Islamic education, and how this concept is applied within the family, the community and schools. This study aims to provide a deeper understanding of how these three educational environments contribute to shaping individuals who are not only intellectually intelligent but also possess good character and are self-directed in their learning. The method used is a qualitative approach involving a literature review, which gathered data from various sources of literature relating to Self-Directed Education, as well as the roles of the family, community and school in Islamic education. The research findings indicate that the implementation of Self-Directed Learning within these three environments is mutually reinforcing, whereby the family develops core values, the community strengthens social skills, and the school provides opportunities to hone academic and self-directed learning skills. Overall, the synergy between these three elements is vital for producing individuals who are not only intelligent but also possess noble character and are prepared to face life’s challenges.

Abstract

When divorce becomes the last resort for a married couple, it inevitably brings legal consequences, particularly regarding the husband’s obligations to his wife, including the provision of nafkah iddah dan mut’ah. In Decision Number 1401/Pdt.G/2021/PA.Smd, the Panel of Judges of the Relegious Court of Samarinda issued a ruling ordering the husband to provide nafkah iddah amounting to idr 3.000.000 and mut’ah amounting to IDR 30.000.000 to his wife, with the payment to be made prior to the pronouncement of the ikrar talak. However, the case ultimatelt failed to be executed because the husband didn’t appear at the court session fot the ikrar talak, claiming his inability to fulfill the financial obligations imposed by the ruling. This study highlights that the judges legal reasoning didn’t adequately consider the husband’s financial capacity in determining the amount of nafkah iddah and mut’ah. Consequently, the decision didn’t represent an ideal ruling as it overlooked essential factors such as the husband’s employment and economic condition. As a result, the verdict couldn’t be enforced, the marriage bond between the parties remained intact and the husband’s right to pronounce divorce automatically lapsed. Accordingly, divorce could no longer be filed on the same grounds.

Abstract

Pre-order sales are increasingly common in digital commerce, but their legal status remains uncertain when payment precedes production, product specifications change, or delivery is delayed. Although Islamic commercial law recognizes salam and istisna' contracts, neither applies automatically to every transaction labeled pre-order. Previous Indonesian studies have largely examined individual sellers or marketplaces, leaving the relationship among contract classification, platform-held payments, and consumer remedies insufficiently integrated. This study examines how pre-order transactions should be classified under Islamic law, which conditions determine their validity, and how Sharia requirements interact with Indonesian electronic-commerce regulations. Using doctrinal legal research, it analyzes Islamic legal principles, DSN-MUI fatwas, relevant legislation, and selected scholarly publications, primarily from 2022 to 2025. The analysis employs normative interpretation, comparison of legal sources, and assessments of hypothetical transaction scenarios without presenting original field data. Findings indicate that fully prepaid, clearly specified future goods generally fall under salam, while commissioned production is more appropriately governed by istisna'. A preliminary expression of interest does not constitute a completed sale. Deposits and platform-held payments require closer examination: DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 145/2021 recognizes escrow payment as cash payment in a specified dropshipping-salam arrangement, although its application beyond that context depends on contractual facts. The study proposes a six-stage compliance framework covering classification, disclosure, payment, deliverability, remedies, and documentary evidence.
