Abstract

The influence of globalization has caused the emergence of xenoglossophilia, which is the tendency to mix languages. One of the factors driving this phenomenon is the assumption that foreign languages are superior, so mixing languages is considered cool. This study was conducted to determine the description of self-esteem in the Z Generation who likes to mix languages (xenoglossophilia). The study used quantitative methods by using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) measuring instrument and descriptive data analysis techniques. Data collection using a questionnaire with 120 respondents of students. This study shows that self-esteem in the majority of Generation Z, especially Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia students with xenoglosophilia, is in the high category. From the results of this study, it can show that self-esteem in most of Generation Z, especially students of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Who have xenoglossophilia conditions are in the high category with two important aspects, namely aspects of high self-acceptance and aspects of self-respect that tend to be low. This shows that there is indeed a representation on these two variables.

Abstract

This qualitative psychological research aims to find out how (1) the form of Verbal Abuse behavior received by male players in the Mobile Legends game (2) the impact of Verbal Abuse received by male players in Mobile Legends, (3) what kind of coping strategies they do to overcome the Verbal Abuse through a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with four male Mobile Legends:Bang-Bang game players. Through the IPA (Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis) method, three main themes were obtained, namely, the experience of Verbal Abuse, the impact of Verbal Abuse, and coping strategies. The first theme explains the process and form of Verbal Abuse received by men in the Mobile Legends game. The second theme describes the decline in performance, self-confidence, and negative emotion s as an impact of Verbal Abuse. The third theme displays the coping strategies used by male players. From this study it can be concluded that the four participants can deliver the problems they have through coping strategies

Abstract

Generasi milenial yang bekerja di perusahaan startup saat ini pernah menghadapi perlakuan workplace incivility, yang mana hal ini dapat meningkatkan intensi turnover seorang karyawan untuk meninggalkan perusahaan. Kondisi ini dapat mengakibatkan stres yang berkepanjangan dan berpotensi memicu kelelahan atau burnout dan ketidakpuasan kerja. Dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara workplace incivility dengan turnover intention pada karyawan generasi milenial di perusahaan startup pulau Jawa. Desain penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif – korelasional. Penelitian ini memiliki subjek berjumlah 71 orang karyawan generasi Y yang bekerja di perusaahan startup pulau Jawa. Instrumen workplace incivility menggunakan workplace incivility Scale yang diadaptasi dari Yuniasanti (2019) dan instrument Turnover Intention menggunakan Turnover Intention Scale yang diadaptasi dari Trisevila (2023). Dengan analisis data menggunakan product moment. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif antara workplace incivility dengan Turnover Intention pada karyawan generasi milenial di perusahaan startup pulau Jawa.

Abstract

Children with special needs have the same rights to receive the best learning experiences to develop their potential optimally, one of which is through the presence of Special Assistant Teachers (SAT). However, the number of SATs in Indonesia is still insufficient compared to the number of children with special needs, which can hinder their progress. Situational awareness of SATs becomes an important factor in effectively assisting children with special needs. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between situational awareness and work values in SATs. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The data collection tools used are situational awareness and work values scales. Purposive sampling technique with a total of 116 SATs was used in this study. The data analysis used is Spearman rank correlation. The results of the study show a positive relationship between situational awareness and work values, which means that the higher the work values, the higher the situational awareness of SATs in Banjarmasin.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between mental health and turnover intention in millennial generation employees in startup companies. The hypothesis proposed in this research is that there is a negative relationship between mental health variables and turnover intention among millennial generation employees in startup companies. The respondents in this research were 55 millennial generation employees in startup companies spread across Java. The data collection method in this research uses two scales, namely the mental health scale and the turnover intention scale. Data analysis in this study used the Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis technique using the SPSS ver. 25 for windowsIt is important for startup companies to be able to pay attention to the mental health of their employees in order to increase productivity and maximize their performance towards the company's development. With full awareness of mental health, it will be able to effectively minimize the possibility of leaving the company to the employee. Keywords: Mental Health, Turnover Intention, Millennial Employees

Abstract

The tumbilotohe tradition is one of the traditions that is characteristic of the Gorontalo area. This tradition is carried out three days before Eid al-Fitr, or to be precise on the 27th, 28th and 29th of Ramadan. As time goes by, the tumbilotohe tradition continues to change due to modernization. So this research aims to minimize the gap in perception so that the people of Gorontalo can maintain the tumbilotohe tradition amidst the current of modernization. This study used qualitative research methods. The sample in this research was determined using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this research were carried out using open questionnaires, observation, interviews and documentation. The data in this research was then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. There is no gap between individuals in perceiving the original meaning of the tumbilotohe tradition. However, there are gaps in society in their actions. This is due to the scarcity of tools and materials and the increasingly expensive price of kerosene, ultimately forcing them to continue using led lights as a result of modernization.

Abstract

Abstract Today's women are able to have dual roles in life, being housewives and working mothers. The experiences that working mothers experience in carrying out their work at home and at work cause stress which has an impact on their well-being. Low ability to cope with stress can result in prolonged stress which causes fatigue or burnout. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between self-care and coping with stress in working mothers. The approach used in this research is quantitative with a correlational design. The scale used is the coping stress variable scale, Ways of Coping of Stress created by Lazarus and Folkman (1986) which has been adapted by Fidia Oktarisa and Zulmi Yusra (2017), and the self-care scale namely Exersice of Self-Care Agency which was produced by Kearney and Fleischer (1979). The number of samples used was 100 respondents with the criteria being working mothers and having at least two children. The results of the analysis show that there is a positive relationship between self-care and coping with stress in working mothers. This shows that the higher the self-care, the higher the stress coping for working mothers. Keywords: coping stress, self-care, working mothers
