Abstract

The dynamics of social life in Indonesia are increasingly developing along with developments in the order of life which have a direct impact on relations between communities and the relationship between society and government. The development of information technology and the unavoidable level of globalization are accelerating the pace of change in social movements, which were previously just ordinary movements, into organized social movements in the economic, political, social, and religious fields. This research uses qualitative methods that focus on in-depth interviews and library research as support. The birth of social movements is the impact of democratic principles which provide space and opportunities for people to fight for constitutional rights. The development of information technology on social movements needs to receive government attention, even though social movements are part of the principles of constitutional democracy. It is feared that social movements that are not paid attention to by the government in the current era of globalization will be influenced by radicalism which threatens the stability of the government, including in West Sulawesi Province, which is not impossible if social movements in the form of radicalism movements also develop rapidly. Using the soul approach will certainly be a way to suppress the actions of radicalism movements in West Sulawesi

There are 12,794 cases of drug-resistant tuberculosis in Indonesia with 7,884 cases starting treatment. The number of drug-resistant tuberculosis cases involves a variety of risk factors. This study aims to analyze the risk factors associated with drug-resistant tuberculosis. The research method is observational analytic design case control study. The research samples were patients with drug-resistant tuberculosis and drug-sensitive tuberculosis in Depok City Health Facilities for the period March 2022–May 2023. Data were collected using questionnaires and SITB (Tuberculosis Information System). Bivariate analysis using Chi Square, while multiple logistic regression multivariate analysis. The results of the study of 73 cases and 73 controls showed that the majority were aged 18 - 65 years, 89% of cases and 62% of controls, male gender was the most dominant, 64.4% of cases and 52% of controls, most of the respondents did not work 68.5 % of cases and 53.4% of controls, most of them had low income, 82.8% of cases and 62% of controls. Most of the case group had a high level of education, namely 58.5%. Meanwhile, most of the control group had low education, 50.7%. Bivariately, risk factors associated with drug-resistant tuberculosis are HIV, history of previous treatment, adherence to taking medication and the role of drug swallowing supervisor (PMO). Based on multivariate analysis, the dominant variable associated with the incidence of drug-resistant tuberculosis is history of previous treatment (OR6.021 with CI 2.055-18.721) meaning that patients with a history of previous treatment have a 6 times risk of developing drug-resistant tuberculosis compared to patients without a history of previous treatment.

Abstract

The stunting rate in Maluku has increased from 2016 to 2018. This prompted the local government to issue a handling policy. The consequence is the budget allocation to accelerate the reduction of stunting rates. However, appropriate strategies are also needed to achieve this goal so that the existing budget is used effectively and efficiently. This study first aims to analyze the level of expenditure variance, expenditure growth, expenditure effectiveness and efficiency. Second, to describe the progress of stunting handling and recommend priority strategies in the prevention. This research uses a mixed-method approach with a type of concurrent triangulation design. Quantitative data is obtained from financial reports and questionnaires, while qualitative data is obtained through interviews, documents and field notes during the study. After the data was collected, variance, growth, effectiveness and efficiency of expenditure and strategy analysis were conducted. The results showed that the budget for handling stunting in the health Office fluctuates yearly but tends to decrease. The variance of expenditure is classified as good, as well as the effectiveness of expenditure is still quite good. Expenditures for handling stunting are also very efficient, which reduces the stunting rate. This can be seen in the stunting rate 2019 of 30.38 to 26.10 in 2022.

Abstract

Poverty prevents children from being able to fulfill their basic rights such as their need to learn, access to basic services, obtain a better education and participate in society. This research was conducted to examine the multidimensional child poverty. The results showed that the percentage of children living in multidimensional poverty was 35,54 percent. In the age group of 0-6 years, the dimension that was most deprived was health, while in the age group of 7-17 years, the dimension that was most deprived was food. On average, 32,9 percent of children aged 0-6 years are deprived in two or more dimensions, and 33.9 percent of children aged 7-17 years are deprived in two or more dimensions of basic needs. This study used logistic regression as a research method to identified the probability of child being poor. The result showed that the number of children, occupation of the household head, region, education of the household head and gender of the household head were significant variables affecting children's likelihood of being poor, as well as the interaction variables between the number of children*occupation of household head, the number of children*region and the number of children*education of household head. However, the gender of the kids variables did not have a significant effect.

Abstract

This research aims to compare the learning outcomes of students who actively participate in student organizations with students who do not participate in student organizations in Basic Mathematics courses. The research design utilized a quantitative comparative approach with two sample groups, each consisting of 34 students who actively participate in organizations and 33 students who do not participate in organizations. The research instrument was a basic mathematics learning outcomes test, including objective and subjective aspects. The results of statistical tests indicated that the average score of students who actively participate in organizations (77.21) is higher than students who do not participate in organizations (72.58). Data analysis using the t-test showed a significant difference between the both groups (p = 0.026), confirming that students who are active in student organizations have better academic achievements. These findings support the alternative hypothesis, which states that there are significant differences in learning outcomes between the two groups. These results have the implication that participation in student organizations can make a positive contribution to student learning outcomes. Therefore, it is recommended for educational institutions and students to consider the potential benefits of involvement in student organizations as a strategy to improve academic achievement.
