Abstract

This community service activity was conducted to improve tax understanding through socialization in the form of training at Yayasan Literasi Emas Nusantara. The main issue addressed by the foundation was that many members had not yet comprehensively understood tax obligations, including tax reporting procedures. The activity was carried out using lecture-based instruction, simulations, and interactive question-and-answer sessions. To measure the improvement in participants’ understanding, pre-tests and post-tests were administered with a success indicator of an average score of 60. The pre-test results showed an average score of 43, while the post-test score increased to 62, exceeding the predetermined indicator. These results indicate that tax socialization and training effectively improved participants’ tax understanding. Furthermore, adequate tax knowledge can enhance taxpayers’ compliance and independence in reporting personal taxes. However, the limitation of this activity was the relatively short training duration; therefore, follow-up training with sufficient time allocation is recommended for deeper material comprehension.

Abstract

Karya Jaya Village is a village located in Rambutan District, Tebing Tinggi City, North Sumatra Province, Indonesia, which is famous for its herbal medicine (jamu). The Jamu Karya Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) is processed from traditional ingredients, a cultural heritage of Indonesia that has been used for generations as a herbal drink to maintain health and treat various diseases. In recent years, it has experienced obstacles in marketing and selling its products. One of the main factors is the lack of quality human resources in the marketing and sales fields, resulting in a lack of effective marketing strategies. The solution to this problem is training to improve the quality of human resources and product marketing to consumers, as well as the use of technology in product marketing using a website.

Abstract

Masalah kesehatan gigi mulut anak sekolah yang sering terjadi adalah karies gigi. Hal ini disebabkan oleh masih buruknya perilaku anak sekolah yang mempunyai kebiasaan makan coklat, permen dan tidak menyikat gigi secara teratur. Perawatan gigi sejak usia dini diharapkan dapat mencegah kerusakan pada email dan kekuatan pertumbuhan gigi anak. Salah satu upaya untuk mencegah terjadinya karies gigi adalah dengan memberikan edukasi kesehatan gigi mulut serta melakukan Topikal Aplikasi Fluor (TAF). TAF adalah perawatan gigi dengan mengoleskan fluoride langsung ke permukaan gigi untuk memperkuat email dan mencegah karies gigi. Perawatan ini sangat di anjurkan untuk anak usia sekolah. Departemen Ilmu kesehatan Gigi Masyarakat Pencegahan, Fakultas kedokteran gigi Universitas Prima Medan mengadakan bakti sosial dengan memberikan edukasi dan Topikal Aplikasi Fluor pada 120 Anak SD IT Cendikia. Kegiatan ini penting dilakukan secara terprogram di sekolah agar cakupan pencegahan meningkatkan dan status kesehatan gigi anak dapat lebih terjaga.

Abstract

Technological advances and society's wealth of data in the information era require schools to introduce basic statistical concepts, especially statistical literacy. Statistical literacy is a person's ability to understand, interpret, and represent data in tables or graphs. Problems in SMPN 2 Sunggal include teachers experiencing difficulties in increasing student interaction in understanding statistical literacy. This activity aims to provide statistical literacy training to teachers and students through a collaborative project-based learning model. The collaborative project learning model is an innovative learning model that centers on students with varying abilities in small groups working together to improve each other's understanding. Based on the paired t-test, it was found that there was an increase in students' abilities regarding literacy statistics after learning using this method. Abstrak (Indonesia) Kemajuan teknologi dan kekayaan data masyarakat di era informasi menuntut sekolah untuk memperkenalkan konsep dasar statistika, khususnya literasi statistika. Literasi statistika adalah kemampuan seseorang dalam memahami, menginterpretasikan, dan merepresentasikan suatu data dalam bentuk tabel atau grafik. Permasalahan di SMPN 2 Sunggal diantaranya guru mengalami kesulitan dalam meningkatkan interaksi siswa/i dalam memahami literasi statistika. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan literasi statistika kepada guru dan siswa/i melalui model pembelajaran proyek kolaboratif. Model pembelajaran kolaboratif merupakan model pembelajaran inovatif yang berpusat pada siswa/i dengan kemampuan bervariasi dalam kelompok kecil yang saling bekerja sama untuk meningkatkan pemahaman satu sama lain. Berdasarkan uji-t berpasangan diperoleh bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan siswa/i terkait literasi statistika setelah dilakukan pembelajaran menggunakan metode ini.

Abstract

This activity aims to improve partners' ability to manage business operations more effectively and efficiently. The methods used include identifying problems through observation and interviews, followed by mentoring in the form of education, training, and hands-on practice in preparing SOPs, structuring workflows, and maintaining operational records. The results of the activity indicate an increase in partners' understanding of managing business operations, the development of simpler SOPs, and improvements to a more systematic workflow. Furthermore, partners have begun implementing more organized and consistent operational records, making it easier to control business activities. This activity has had a positive impact on improving the quality of operational management and supporting the sustainability of Kupi Aceh's business on the KA Kupi.
