DE_JOURNAL (Dharmas Education Journal) merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Dharmas Indonesia, dan sebagai sarana publikasi hasil penelitian serta berbagi perkembangan ilmu tentang pendidikan. Jurnal ini memuat artikel yang belum pernah dipublikasikan sebelumnya yang berupa artikel hasil penelitian ataupun penelitian terapan, artikel telaah yang berkaitan dengan perkembangan ilmu pendidikan. DE_JOURNAL merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang berisi tentang hasil penelitian, kajian mendalam, gagasan atau inovasi pada bidang ilmu pendidikan. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan Mengetahui Pengaruh Kontrol Diri Terhadap Kecenderungan Perilaku Agresif Pada Mahasiswa di Universitas Hkbp Nommensen Medan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian mengenai pengaruh kontrol diri dan kecenderungan perilaku agresif pada mahasiswa Universitas HKBP Nommensen Medan, dapat disimpulkan beberapa temuan utama sebagai berikut:Terdapat pengaruh negatif yang signifikan antara kontrol diri dan kecenderungan perilaku agresif pada mahasiswa Universitas HKBP Nommensen Medan, yang berarti semakin tinggi kontrol diri seseorang, maka semakin rendah kecenderungan untuk berperilaku agresif. Mayoritas mahasiswa menunjukkan tingkat kontrol diri yang tergolong sedang hingga tinggi, yang mencerminkan adanya kemampuan cukup baik dalam mengatur emosi, menunda dorongan impulsif, dan menjaga perilaku tetap sesuai dengan norma. Sebagian besar mahasiswa menunjukkan kecenderungan perilaku agresif dalam kategori rendah hingga sedang, yang menunjukkan bahwa perilaku agresif bukan merupakan pola dominan dalam menyelesaikan masalah atau merespons tekanan. Mahasiswa dengan usia lebih tua cenderung memiliki kontrol diri yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan usia yang lebih muda, sedangkan kecenderungan agresif juga meningkat pada kelompok usia dewasa awal yang mengalami tekanan emosional dan sosial lebih besar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan penalaran matematis siswa pada materi fungsi kuadrat kelas X di smk negeri 14 Medan T.A 2024/2025. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan populasi penelitian yaitu seluruh peserta didik di kelas X SMK negeri 14 medan. Sampel penelitian ini dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling, diperoleh kelas eksperimen X-TKP dan kelas kontrol X-TITL. Setelah diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda, data dianalisis menggunakan analisis inferensial dan deskriptif, hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa data kemampuan pemahaman konsep memenuhi uji prasyarat, berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Uji t (α = 0,05) diperoleh terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Demikian pula, hasil penalaran matematis memenuhi uji prasyarat berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Uji t (α = 0,05) diperoleh terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Hasil dari penelitian diperoleh pada kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa memenuhi indikator efektivitas sehingga disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing efektif terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa. Demikian pula, hasil data kemampuan penalaran matematis memenuhi indikator efektivitas sehingga disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing efektif terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa.

Abstract

The main task of the teacher is to help students in terms of learning. In the process of teaching and learning teachers must provide courses to solve problems in the classroom, evaluating student learning, both before pre, middle and after class. A teacher must have high professional ability to carry out his or her role. Research has been conducted on "Efforts to Improve Student Learning Outcomes in IPS Learning Through Lecture Methods in Class VI SD S Tiga Hati". The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes in IPS learning by using lecture methods. Quantitative data is obtained from observation. Interviews and homework. Qualitative analysis of data is data reduction, data presentation, data verivikation and quantitative analysis by using formulas to determine individual and classical absorption, degree of completion of classical learning, and average percentage. The results obtained are that students experience progress in their learning outcomes, compared to previous results still 26,6% of students who completed that 8 of the 30 students, in cycle I experienced an increase 30% from the initial activity to 56,6% that is 17 students who completed and in cycle II increased again that 26,7% to 83,3% where there is 25 Students who graduated from 30 students.

Abstract

Science learning is expected to be able to achieve the learning objectives, namely meaningful learning supported by increased understanding of scientific literacy in students. For that we need a learning pattern that connects the ability to process information obtained with scientific concepts and can be implemented in everyday life. The information obtained is of course not only understanding but also problems that exist in the environment that require solving a situation that creates a dilemma between existing facts and the concept of science as the basis of science. For that we need the right learning approach to assist in solving problems that exist in the environment, one of which is the socio-scientific issue (SSI) learning approach. This study uses a survey with data analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The subjects of the study were 23 science education lecturers with a minimum teaching qualification of 2 years. The results obtained are that 74% of science education lecturers are familiar with SSI, and 26% of science education lecturers are not familiar with SSI. SSI is more appropriate to be used in environmental learning activities as the implementation of all science concepts. The conclusion of this study is that the learning carried out by science education lecturers has not used the socio-scientific issue (SSI) approach in science learning.

Abstract

This research and development research to develop and determine the feasibility of interactive powerpoint media based on the material in theme 8 of our friend's environment in sub-theme 2 as a learning medium for fifth grade elementary school students. Learning media is a tool that can be used to assist the process of teaching and learning activities that aim to provide a stimulus response to students so that learning becomes easy.. This study uses a development model R n D from Sugiyono, namely ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation.). The feasibility of character-based interactive powerpoint media was obtained from the validation results of media experts, material experts, and assessments by practitioners. The average value of the media expert's validation results, which is 3.61, is included in the "very valid" category or very feasible to use. The results of the validation by material experts, namely 3.16, are included in the "valid" category or suitable for use. Meanwhile, the average result of the assessment by practitioners is 3.72 which is included in the "very valid" category or very feasible to use. The practicality of character-based interactive powerpoint media was determined from the results of student response questionnaires. The average value of the student's response to the small-scale trial was 3.59, the medium scale was 3.53 and the operational scale was 3.57. Thus, the results of the assessment of student responses to the media are said to be very practical.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low interest of students in learning Indonesian.  The low interest of students in learning Indonesian affects students' writing skills and students' inability to express ideas or ideas in written form.  The fact that we can see from the results of the Mid-Semester Assessment (MSA) is still unsatisfactory.  In this study, researchers conducted a study using the Direct Instruction model.  The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Direct Instruction model on writing skills in the Indonesian subject of theme 2 class V SD N 14 Koto Baru.  The type of this research is Pre-Experimental Design, the design of this research is One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design.  The research was conducted at SD N 14 Koto Baru.  The time of this research was carried out in the Even Semester of the 2020 2021 Academic Year. The sample in this study was class V totaling 35 students. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon signed rank test, a significance of 0.000 <0.05 was obtained.  So that the researcher can conclude that there is a fashion effect!  Direct Instruction on writing skills in Indonesian subjects theme 2 class v SDN 14 Koto Baru Based on research, that the Direct Instruction model has a good influence on students' writing skills in Indonesian subjects.

Abstract

In this study, the writer uses a material object namely The Farewell 2019 movie to find out what kind of culture shock was found and its implications. Have an authentic and informative story. For us viewers who are not ethnic Chinese, we get new knowledge about Chinese family traditions which are actually 'saklek' and have important meaning for them. In this study used the descriptive qualitative method. Descriptive studies is a form of studies that indicated to describe phenomena that exist, both natural phenomena and artificial phenomena. The main data of this study was taken from the movie entitled The Farewell 2019. The writer takes the data source by observing each film scene and will capture each scene. The method used in collecting data was the documentation method. In this study, descriptive qualitative approach analysis was used to analyze culture shock in The Farewell 2019 movie. The movie reflects the culture shock of the main character. The writer also found the stages of a person's phase when experiencing culture shock which is divided into four stages; the honeymoon, the hostility, the recovery, and the adjustment. All of them is reflected in the main character, Billy Wang who gets a culture shock in his native China. In cultural implications, The Farewell 2019 movie is reflected in the acceptance that after a person goes through several phases of culture shock and the imply in the movie is starting to accept and learn the culture of other countries, including a form of positive attitude in understanding different cultures, not closing oneself and always open to changes and differences in the surrounding environment.

Abstract

The history of mathematics is a series of events related to the development of mathematics in the past. Statistics as one of the subjects in mathematics learning can also be presented through the history of statistics. Various studies state that the history of statistics can play a positive role in learning. In this case, it is necessary to discuss the benefits of learning the history of statistics in today's modern era. The purpose of writing this article is to find out the importance of applying the history of statistics in learning and to find out the steps of learning the history of statistics in the modern era. The design used is a mix method study and a qualitative study. The method used to write this article is literature study. The results of the literature study state that the application of the history of statistics in mathematics learning can motivate students to participate in mathematics learning. It can be seen from the activeness of students in learning activities. The history of statistics can also be a medium in the learning process that provides new experiences and makes learning mathematics more meaningful because it is connected with discoveries and everyday life. Therefore, the application of the history of statistics in mathematics learning is very necessary in today's modern era to support the mathematical abilities of students and teachers so as to create meaningful learning.

Abstract

The failure in the learning system is the absence of the use of learning media, both those that can be accessed at school and those planned by the instructor. The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes in science learning through image media. This type of research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) which intends to define the use of image media in increasing student learning outcomes in science subjects. The purpose of the preparation of this journal is to review that using image media is able to develop student learning outcomes in science learning in elementary schools. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, tests, and documentation. The results showed that student learning outcomes progressed. From the results of the analysis, using image media can increase the learning outcomes of elementary school students in science learning, which at first had a completeness score of 3% to 96%, with an average of 43% to 83%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the results of online social studies learning learning in the Covid-19 pandemic. The subjects of this study were teachers and students at SDN 008 Rambah Samo in the 2020/2021 academic year. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach which includes the stages of observation, interviews, and data analysis. From the research results, the online social studies learning process is carried out using social media, namely whatsapp. Whatsapp is considered simpler and more practical to use for the learning process. However, online social studies learning also has a negative impact and obstacles in the implementation of learning which are directly felt by teachers, students and guardians of students. The negative impact for teachers is also very large, namely the limitations of space and time in the delivery of material, reduced intensity of reciprocal interaction between teachers and students as it should be when face to face. Therefore, as a teacher, they must have interesting innovations in using the method of delivering material for the learning process.
