Abstract

This study was aimed to analyze the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction of Voorfo Optics in Nunukan, North Kalimantan. The type of research conducted is explanatory research with quantitative approach. The number of samples in this study amounted to 30 respondents with non-probability sampling techniques with a purposive sampling approach. Data collection is done by means of the dissemination of questionnaires that have been tested validity and reliability. Respondents to this study were Voorfo Optics customers domiciled in Nunukan, North Kalimantan. The study used a simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the quality of service had a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction. Conclusion of customer satisfaction will form a positive perception of Voorfo Optics and quality service can be done by improving the quality of service.

Abstract

This study aims to find out benefit checking refraction from an elementary school. This study uses a qualitative method, the population in this study are parents who have elementary school children in Pamulang, with a sample of 5 parents who check their children at Optik Kita Pamulang. Data collection is done by interview and documentation, interviews were conducted with 5 people interviewees. The results of this study indicate that 4 resource persons think that early refraction examination is very important to do, 1 resource person considers it normal. Only 2 resource persons examined their children based on the initiative as a preventative measure for refractive errors, the other 3 carried out examinations after experiencing symptoms.

Abstract

The study aims to find out how well people understand cataract disease, while also inducing people to better protect their eyes from exposure to sunlight. This research uses qualitative methods with a literature descriptive  approach with observation and interview techniques. The subject of the study is a citizen active on the coast of the lagoon at the age of 50 years and more.  The results show that the residents of the nest tend not to know cataracts that care less about or care for eye health. The socialization absence of local health services is one factor that makes people less aware of cataracts, less concerned about their eye health

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in the level of illumination on the results of subjective refraction examinations and the condition of the patient when performing subjective refraction examinations at different lighting levels. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive observational, by examining subjective refraction at bright (506 lx) and dim (120 lx) lighting levels. The sample of this study used the saturated sampling technique, the occupants of the boarding house by collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study, it can be found that there are differences in the results of subjective refraction examinations. The differences obtained are based on the correction result, the initial vision sine correction, the final visual acuity cum correction, and the condition of the patient.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence the occurrence of cataracts in farmers in Garut. This research uses quantitative methods by observing and questionare. The population in this study were all farmers in Garut by taking a sample of 40 people. The result showed that cataracts occurred by factors, including aging (degenerative cataract) by 20%, not using eye protection when working by 85%, exposure to sun light with a long duration of 85% and lack attention to eye health by 75%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much the refraction status of traders in Alektro Penjaringan housing, North Jakarta. The research method used is quantitative with a descriptive approach, by conducting a subjective examination the researcher can find out the results of the patient being examined. The sample of this study used a saturated sampling technique, the traders in the Alektro Penjaringan housing estate, North Jakarta, taking data through observation, interviews and documentation. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the refractive status that has been checked is 50% for emmetropia and 50% for ametropia. Researchers suggest educating every refractive examination to patients so that they do not experience advanced diseases such as cataracts

Abstract

The inability of a person to see close objects clearly can occur for several reasons, including presbyopia. Meanwhile, a person's inability to see distant objects clearly can occur for several reasons, including because his eyes have hypermetropic refractive status, myopia, astigmatism and emmetropia. This research was carried out using a descriptive method through a quantitative approach. The results showed that of the 53 Cilandak people who received a subjective refraction examination with optic 688, they were presbyopic patients with right (26.4%) and left (28.3%) hypermetropia refractive status, right and left myopia (41.5%), left com astigmatism (22.6%), right com astigmatism (18.9%), right sim astigmatism (13.2%), left sim astigmatism (15.1%), and right emmetropia (31.1%) and Emmetropia left 28.3%). In the examination of subjective refraction, determining the size of spectacle lenses for far vision for patients with hypermetropia is based on a concept, namely by providing the largest spherical lens that can produce the best vision. Meanwhile, for myopia, the weakest spherical correction lens is provided. For astigmatism, cylindrical correction lenses are given, determining the size of spectacle lenses for near vision for presbyopia sufferers with hypermetropia refractive status, which is the accumulation of lens diopters for far vision and addition. It can be concluded that the ultimate goal of examining subjective refraction in patients with presbyopia with hypermetropia, myopia and astigmatism is to determine the appropriate lens size, so that glasses made with these sizes can function as a visual aid.

Abstract

This study aims to determine customer satisfaction with the service of Optical Refractionist at Optik Nay Serang Banten. The population in this study are consumers or customers at Optik Nay. This type of research is field research that uses facultative methods using a system of observation, interviews and documentation in the form of photos during the interview process. The sampling system used in this study is purposive, namely respondents who meet 3 criteria, namely patients or regular customers, adult age (30-50 years) and reactive respondents. The first step is to get 15 respondents and the second step is to sort out the results of the interviews, where the same opinion and response will be represented by one person and the researcher gets 6 respondents to be included in this study. Data analysis was carried out by comparing the results of interviews from 6 respondents. The results showed that the responses about RO services at Optik Nay from the six respondents were different, there were negative and positive responses.

Abstract

Auto groover is a tool used to produce lenses with hidden bevels so that there are parts of the rope tied to the resulting bevel and are used on semi rimless or half frame types. This can be affected by the thickness and curvature of the lens, so this study wants to prove how exactly are polycarbonate lenses made with good bevels. This research uses a descriptive method. The initial screening was conducted by reading the titles and abstracts by using search engine with keyword “Polycarbonate Lens AND Bevel Type AND Autogroover” in the journals ScieneDirect, Plos One, and in Bahasa Google Scholar. Based on the results of the journal search it was concluded that making bevels in an optical dispensing laboratory using an autogroover machine requires high precision and skill from practitioners so that glasses can be produced according to the type of frame chosen by the patient.
