Abstract

Abstract. GOODISM Inc. is a startup business established on September 2013. GOODISM Inc. creates a unique and one-of-a-kind leather wallet with a focus on its main functions. As a new startup company, GOODISM Inc. should do rapid research and development to compete with the competitor. For the initial step, GOODISM Inc. is going to develop the direction to be more in line with the customer needs. Therefore, this research has objective to know the important factors of a wallet product based on consumer preference and to explore GOODISM Inc. target market core values by using the hierarchical value map. The study was conducted using laddering method in form of direct interview with the help of Mean-ends Chain Theory. Descriptive analysis used to explain the attributes come out from the interview result. The result of this study shows that the concrete attributes that customer want in a wallet are Size, Card Slot, Money Slot, Material, and Extra Slot. Moving to abstract attributes, the respondents pointed out three points of slim, unique, and elegant. For functional consequence, there are handy, pocketable, contain more items, well organized, and durable. As for psychological consequence, there are comfortable, practicality, safety, distinction, and pride that all leads to the values of self-confidence, self-fulfilment, and social recognition. By those results, the recommendation for GOODISM Inc. for its future development is to create big size compact wallet, small size compact wallet, and small size slim wallet. Keywords: Startup, Wallet, Means-end chain, Laddering approach, Customer insight

Abstract

Abstract-The aim of this research is to understand the important factors of people in Jakarta when they going to shopping malls and the attractiveness of shopping mall that influencing shopping behaviour of  people in Jakarta. Masive growing of shopping mall in Jakarta made Jakarta to be a city with the most malls in the World, and it make the traditional market reduced. Leisure and completeness of a  shopping mall influenced the  Attractiveness of shopping mall and can be seen with the number of visitors in malls. Many factors of shopping mall considered by customers for choosing their favourite mall. The of the location of the shopping mall, mall shopping behaviour and also factors that make a mall or shopping center becomes more attractive to costumers. Abstract

Abstract. An educational institution consists of a variety of individuals with different backgrounds. The number of backgrounds will affect the environment of an institution. One aspect that shapes an environment is a style of communication. Communication style is a characteristic of communication by an individual to communicate with other individuals. The number of individuals results in communication styles diversity. Communication style which occured in an institution can help to figure what type of people exist in the institution, and what the environment is like. Therefore, a communication style analysis of an institution is quite important to know the environment of an institution. In this study, the author aims to find out the communication style that is most dominant in the SBM ITB environment and how the difference is between one style of communication with each other. SBM ITB is a business school inside the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) which is one of the best business school in Indonesia. The author uses survey method by filling out the "P Case" questionnaire total of 129 individuals in participated in this research. There are 93 lecturers and 72 staff as the population of SBM ITB. The sample size of this research defined using the Slovin’s formula. The respondents of this research are lecturers and staff. They are selected by the author because they represent the organizational value of SBM ITB. The results found by the author are that the most dominant communication style is the Idea Style and the least dominant is People Style. The author advises that in dealing with the SBM ITB environment, several adaptations are needed to fit and to balance the communication style within SBM ITB environment.Key words: Communication Style, Communication Diversity, Educational Institution, Business School, SBM ITB

Abstract

Abstract.Doing good or just being seen doing well is important for company these past few years. That makes corporate social responsibility as an important thing for company to create a balance between the interest of shareholders and stakeholders. In particular, corporate social responsibility is most effective when employees are actual enactors with the company acting as an enabler. It also can increase the employee engagement. Employee engagement is a concept that is judged to govern volunteer employee efforts, which means when employee have choices, they will go further for the benefit of their organization. Company reputation is one of the employee engagement drivers. Employee as the internal stakeholders has important role. Their perception on company reputation is quite important for the company reputation. Meanwhile, corporate social responsibility related with company reputation. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) is one of Stated Owned Enterprise of Indonesia which is growing rapidly in recent years. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) as SOE runs the corporate social responsibility activity. However, the corporate social responsibility activity is only for external parties. This research objective is to find the relationship of corporate social responsibility and employee engagement, the relationship of corporate social responsibility and employees’ perception on corporate social responsibility, and also the relationship of employees’ perception on corporate social responsibility on employee engagement. This research uses the quantitative approach with the number of samples 132 employees of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero). Then the author uses the Structural Equation Modeling to analyze the data which shows that there is no influence of corporate social responsibility on employee engagement in PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) and also there is no influence of corporate social responsibility on employee’ perception on corporate social responsibility. However there is positive influence of employee perception on corporate social responsibility on employee engagement. This research addressed to PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) in order to increase the rate of employee engagement in the company and maximize the benefit of corporate social responsibility for human resource aspect.Keywords: corporate social responsibility, employee engagement, employee perception of corporate social responsibility

Abstract

Abstract. Indonesia has the second largest export market share among Southeast Asia Region on textile exports which is 28.5% or 4.6 billion US dollar and 18.3% or 7.7 billion US dollar on garment exports. One of the biggest textile and garment factories is PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk. PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk had strategy to expand its business in the following year. The strategies will drive greater sales with the consequences that expenses go up as well. The Company needs to do corporate valuation due to know the company share price so the company can choose the appropriate strategy to expand the business.The valuation methods used in this research are Asset based method, Market approach, and Discounted Cash Flow valuation. The outcome of this research is that the share price of PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk is undervalued based on valuation method. The assets-based approach showed the book value price per share is US$ 0.0158 (IDR 195.99). Market based approach showed the book value price per share is US$ 0.0131 (IDR 162.91). Comparing to the current market value price per share at the end of 2014, which is IDR 163, the stock performance is undervalue. And also based on Discounted Cash Flow method, the market price is undervalued. PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk, should increase the free cash flow and decreasing the cost of capital. Abstract

This Final project (Research) is about Levi’s factory outlet in Indonesia which further abbreviated as LOS (Levi's Outlet Store). Factory outlet is a retail store in which manufacturers sell their products directly to the public as consumers. Factory outlets function is to increase sales and reduce inventory piling up in warehouses. The purpose of this study is to determine how much influence the Levi's outlet store on the phenomenon of factory outlets in Indonesia and to determine how much 7PS influence sale at Levi's outlet store. The research was conducted in LOS Bekasi (Bekasi Square), LOS Pejaten Village, LOS Plaza Cibubur and LOS Bogor using purposive sampling method. Purposive sampling is the selection of the sample is based on certain characteristics that are considered nothing to do with the characteristics of the population. Based on data collected from 400 respondents Levi's outlet store that has been deployed in LOS Bekasi (Jakarta Square), LOS Housing Village, LOS Plaza Cibubur and LOS Bogor then can be drawn some conclusions, that is the existence of Levi's outlet store in Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi) is one of the many FO growing in Indonesia and has a very large market opportunity. Abstract

Abstract. Background: this study aims to identify the factors that influence consumers’ purchase decision toward fast moving consumer goods on rural area. Methods: the objective of this study can be achieved by spreading the questionnaire with convenience sampling technique. The data is analyzed by using factor analysis and multi linear regression techniques.  Results: The findings from this research have found five factors that can influence to behavioral of society in the rural area in purchasing decision toward FMCG product. Abstract

Abstract: This study investigates the relationship of various fundamental factors in determining the stock price in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). It consists of 22 listed banking companies under banking sub-sector in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). This aim of this study is to figure out the relationship between stock price and companies performance, which include earning per shares (EPS), dividend per shares (DPS), fixed assets to total assets (FA/TA),  return on assets (ROA), and return on equity (ROE)  towards long term stock price changes. This paper is using annual data that gathered from company’s financial annual report from 2005 to 2013. This study focused on the banking sub-sectors listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study uses multiple regression analysis as a method for deeper understanding and analysis. This research found that there are not statistically significant relationship between chosen fundamental factors toward stock return. This study also expected to contributes for helping the investor in investing their valuable assets to stock market especially in banking sector. Abstract

Recognizing the engagement levels of employees is still a grey area that organizations are less aware of. Employee engagement actually creates many improvements within the organization that can result in employee work productivity hence increasing the organization capability.Employee engagement mapping is a holistic tool of seek what variables are meaningful and satisfactory to the employee that increase not only the work motivation and commitment, but further than that which is to perform and strive organization goals regardless of work expectation. This paper elaborates the employee engagement variables and its influential variable items which affect engagement. The writer shares 108 questionnaires as primary data in which respondents are employees of a certain non-profit organization. Moreover, we use the meaningful work-job satisfaction quadrant, to analyze all the information. From this research, it is offered a framework to develop strategies in human resource management that fosters engagement. Abstract

Abstract - In this modern era, the development of industry is very advanced and rapid. This matter supported by technological developments increasingly sophisticated so as to facilitate all human work activities. All work activities that exist within the company include producing good and working system arrangements. One of the most important elements to run the goals of a company is human resources. Human resources can affect the effectiveness in generating output as well as driving business. The work environment is one of the most important factors that can affect the physical condition and human psychology. The purpose of this research is to know how does effect of physical and non-physical works environment on employee performance and the most dominant influence between physical work environment and non-physical work environment. The selected research object is an employee of the division of TC&AP PT Pindad Persero Bandung. This is related to the identification of some problems that the employee related to the working environment through interviews. The method used by researchers is multiple linear regressions (MLR). The result of the research shows that the physical work environment is not significant effect on perceived employee performance. The non-physical work environment has significant positively effect on perceived employee performance. Simultaneously the result of work environment variable physical and non-physical has significant effect on employee performance. The results showed that the non-physical work environment had a dominant impact on employee performance of 65.6% compared with the physical work environment variables of 0.34%. Keywords: Non-Physical Work Environment, Perceived Employees Performance, Physical Work Environment, Work Environment
