Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the journalist of print mass media in Medan. This study is about journalism, print media of newspaper journalistic and organizational structure of print media. The work area of journalists in Medan is public space, an area that is worthy of being known by the public or the public. Therefore, journalists are required to have the ability to reveal and inform a complete problem by upholding the values of truth and justice and must be able to make themselves half diplomats, half detectives. This means that journalists must have skilled diplomacy skills, even though the way they work is similar to detectives. Mass media journalism is a tool used to convey messages from sources to the public using mechanical communication tools, such as newspapers, radio, television, films and so on. And in this case the mass media being referred to is print mass media. That newspapers are sheets published by the press which contain news, essays, writings, advertisements, and other journalistic products that are printed periodically, circulated, and sold in general, which function as social control tools that provide information both entertainment education and another thing for the community.

Abstract

Women in giving birth still go to the specialist obstetrician when there is a recommendation from the midwife, or the patient comes directly to the obstetrician, the patient no longer chooses or sorts a male or female obstetrician, in the view of the community as if there are no legal issues. Though the proposition of al-Quran and hadith has ordered us to hold our gaze and preserve the genitals of both men and women, to see the aurat (private parts, those parts of the body that cannot be exposed or should be covered according to Islam) which the same sex is still not allowed, much less in different sex. Especially with regard to giving birth that shows all organs including aurat which is very vital, and also explained by the perspective of fiqh ulema who have very strict rules in seeing aurat, even in the case of medical treatment, especially treatment to the doctor in different sex of patient. Likewise with the results of the plenary session-V which explains male patients are not justified to treated by female medical, and vice versa, moreover women giving birth to a male obstetrician is even more not allowed, this is under normal conditions, as for emergency conditions is allowed but still under very strict requirements. So it can be concluded that Islamic law does not allow giving birth to male obstetricians (in normal conditions), except in emergency situations where there is no other choice or in areas where there are no female obstetricians. The Aceh Ulema Consultative Assembly in the results of the ulema's plenary session on the use of defiled drugs and medical services by different sex in the Islamic perspective. With provisions, if only general treatment that does not lead to seeing vital organs in women is prohibited, much less giving birth which is clearly a male doctor looking openly and transparently and touching vital organs in female patients, then it is very not allowed in Islam, except there is no other choice.

Abstract

This paper aims to present several theories about how important to understand maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah when someone wants to study a law in Islam, someone cannot be separated from that context. Maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah is a barometer or the main standard of consideration in the formulation of shari'ah with the aim of benefit the Ummah, and Islam consistently makes maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah in all its rules. The thinking of Ibn ‘Āsyūr about maqāṣid is built on this principle, that it’s imperative to accept the concept of ta‘līl. The theory of maqāṣid rests on three basic concepts; (a). Maqāṣids are sometimes qath‘ī and ḍannī (assumptive). (b). Maqāṣid ‘āmmah and khaṣṣhah (c). Al-maqām, al-istiqrā ’and distinguish between waṣilah and purpose in the application of fiqh law. Every phenomenon that has great potential for maslahah it can be stated to be included in the maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah. On the other hand the human need is not to know the maqāṣid al-syāri‘ itself, but to find a law for a new case that has no prescribed text. Ontology of maqāṣid al-syarī'at al-khāssah is also a value, because knowing the law for that case is complete with the text, now the needed for a new case, so the ontology of maqāṣid al-syarī'ah in this dimension is a transcendent value to refer when conducting tahqīqal-manāt.

Abstract

Post-1998 is the spread of spiritualism discourse. The emergence of celebrity ‘ulama’ in Islamic expression of contemporary Indonesian treasury is one example of how popular culture with a set of ideologies taking advantage of the rise of Islam. Television became an agent of a culture to the people with his ability as a link between one culture with another culture. Televisions have unpacked the real with the imaginary. With television all things can be esthetizatied, the sacred and the profane into somersaults. Television media such strength finally gave birth to a new religious authority, called celebrities ‘ulama’. Factors caused by the emergence of celebrity ‘’ulama’ are sociological, which characterized by many people who prefer to watch the celebrity ‘ulama’ than watching Conventional Ulama. Then supported by sophisticated Tecnology Science, the stage, and commodification. This shows that Islam has been negotiating with the market and subsequently published widely in the public sphere as a form of freedom of expression in the new order in which the strength of the potential of Islam to be appreciated by the government. This can be described as a form of commodification of religion in the sense of religious values commercialized for profit.

Abstract

Sufism is one of the fields of Islamic studies that focus on cleansing the spiritual aspects of humans, which in turn leads to noble morals. Through this study of Sufism one can find out about ways to do self-cleaning and practice correctly. From this knowledge it is hoped that he will appear as someone who is good at controlling himself when he interacts with others, or when carrying out activities that require honesty, sincerity, responsibility, trust and others. If viewed from the perspective of humans as limited beings, Sufism can be defined as an effort to purify self by way of distancing the influence of world life will focus attention only on Allah. Sufism comes from the Qur'an and Sunnah although in its development it was influenced by foreign elements. Sufism has developed since the end of the second century Hijri, although in the first century the hijri had been seen in the ascetic life form (zuhud) practiced by the Prophet and the ma'rifah sahabatuan. There are several approaches in Sufism study, thematic approach, figure study approach and combination approach. The main figures and works in the study of Sufism include Imam Al-Ghazali with his momental work Ihya ‘Ulum al-Din, Ibn Arabi with his work Al-Futuhat al-Makkiyah and Fushush al-Hikam and others mentioned earlier. The latest development of Sufism stems from the thought of Fazlur Rahman with the concept of neo sufism. In Indonesia, Hamka has featured the term modern Sufism in his book "Modern Sufism". If Al-Ghazali requires uzlah in the exploration of the quality of nature, then Hamka actually wants a true truth seeker to remain active in various aspects of people's lives.

Abstract

One way to know God is by understanding the names of Allah (Asmaul Husna). Asmaul Husna is the mediator of communication used by Allah Almighty so that humans can confer to Him. This is what can be considered a channel through which humans can know God spontaneously. And it is precisely this which can move the way of discovery that is essential and opens up vast realms of spirituality to witness the light of Allah. The conclusions that can be drawn from the discussion of the understanding of Asmaul Husna in Islamic theology above are Asmaul Husna are the names of Allah that have been attributed by Allah to Himself, both those determined by Allah to Himself in Him in the Qur'an, and set by the Prophet without ta'wil (deviations), takyif (asking how), tamtsil (parable), and Tasybih (likeness). There is a difference of opinion among scholars in the determination of Asmaul Husna. The opinion of jumhur ulama that Asmaul Husna is limited by what has been determined by the Shariah. Ibn Qayyim's opinion that the determination of the attributes of perfection for Allah can be determined by what has been determined by the Shariah 'and with the five senses. Ibn Al-'Arabi views Asmaul Husna as an intermediary between God and nature, namely Asmaul Husna as the relationship between God and nature. Another view expressed by Ibn Qayyim in his book Madarijus Saalikin, that Asmaul Husna is a substance of God. This contradicts the opinion of some Mu'tazilah groups, that Asmaul Husna is a trait that is born. The opinion of the Jahmiyyah group that says Asmaul Husna is a being challenged by the Ahlus Sunnah group.

Abstract

Fiqh of four madhab (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i and Hambali) permit the marriage of minors, so that parents tend to marry their children at an underage. This ppinion is criticized in modern times who want a minimum age of marriage. The question arises how the interpretation of the four madhab (Islamic jurisprudence) of thought is used and are there other arguments that can be used in reinterpreting the existence of a minimum age of marriage. This study uses some methods, firstly, to examine the verses and hadith to find out whether there are cues about the minimum age of marriage or not. Secondly, to reinterpret using the ta‘liliyyah method and the termiyyah of the arguments used by the religious and contemporary scholars. The result shows that the madhab declares Surah al-Thalaq as the proposition regarding the ability of marriages of young children. According to the author, the logic is incorrect because there is no need to iddah for virgin women contained in Surah al-Ahzhab verse 49; The religious scholars also use it as the proposition of the Prophet's marriage hadith. with ‘Aisha r.a when she was a child, even though this incident occurred in Mecca before the Muslim period and before the hadith about the guardian's obligation to ask permission for a girl or widow. This study also finds other verses that can be used as arguments in limiting the age of marriage, namely Surat al-Nisa 'verses 5-6 and 9, the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud and maslahah to be achieved from a marriage, which explicitly states that both adult and maturity both physically and mentally as a condition of marriage.
