Abstract

The development of Information technology has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including time and Information management. One crucial aspect is an effective and efficient Notification management system, where timely and relevant notifications are essential to support activities in various contexts, both personal, business, and organizational. This study discusses the design and development of a WhatsApp-based Notification Information System to improve internet services at PT PLN Icon Plus. This system is designed to accelerate and facilitate the delivery of information related to disruptions or maintenance of internet services to customers. The method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD), which allows the application development process to be faster and more flexible to changes in user needs. The result of this study is a prototype of an automatic notification system that can send WhatsApp messages directly to customers, thus supporting the creation of more effective and responsive communication between the company and customers. With this system, it is hoped that the quality of PT PLN Icon Plus internet services will increase and customer satisfaction can be maintained.

Abstract

The Attorney General's Office, as a law enforcement institution, requires optimal employee performance to achieve effectiveness in law enforcement. However, the current employee performance monitoring and reporting processes at the Binjai District Attorney's Office are still manual, leading to inefficiencies, lack of transparency, and difficulties in objective evaluation. This research aims to develop a Web-Based Employee Performance Monitoring and Reporting System as a solution to address these issues. The system is designed to improve the accuracy, transparency, and integration of performance data, thereby enabling more objective and measurable evaluations. With this system, leaders can provide accurate feedback, identify performance problems earlier, and ultimately enhance employee productivity and the overall performance of the Attorney General's Office. The research has successfully developed a web-based system with an interface that allows centralized management of user data, employee information, tasks, and performance evaluations. The implementation of this system is expected to significantly positively impact operational efficiency and support the achievement of organizational goals in more effective and efficient law enforcement.
Applying Process Mining to Analyze Anomalies in Student Registration Wisudiawan, Gede Agung Ary; Sardi, Indra Lukmana

Abstract

This study applies process mining to analyze the student course registration process using activity log data from the SIRAMA application. A process model was discovered and evaluated through conformance checking by comparing it with the standard operating procedures (SOP) to detect anomalies. Four key metrics were employed: fitness, precision, generalization, and simplicity. The evaluation results reveal a fitness score of 0.846, indicating that most events in the log are represented by the model, although some transitions remain uncaptured. The relatively low precision score of 0.69531 suggests that the model is overly permissive, allowing many potential paths that never occurred in practice. In contrast, the generalization score of 0.99992 demonstrates that the model is highly robust, capable of representing unseen but valid cases without overfitting. Further audit and analysis identified three anomalous transitions: “Start” directly followed by “DELETE,” “Start” followed by “SIAP REGISTRASI” without prior “ADD,” and “ADD” directly followed by “END.” Expert validation confirmed that these anomalies were not user-driven but caused by technical issues such as delayed log writing (non-atomic transactions) and timestamp overflow errors. To mitigate such anomalies, this study recommends enforcing ACID principles—particularly atomicity—along with strict timestamp validation and automatic correction of invalid log formats. The findings highlight that process mining is not only effective for modeling real-world academic processes but also serves as a diagnostic tool for detecting systematic deviations and improving system reliability

Abstract

The Catholic University of Saint Thomas provides counseling services through its Campus Ministry to support students' mental health and well-being. However, a lack of awareness regarding these services among the student body has resulted in low engagement and limited utilization. To address this issue, this study focuses on the design and development of a web-based counseling system aimed at increasing accessibility and awareness of the counseling services. By enabling students to seek guidance remotely, the system eliminates the need for in-person visits to the Campus Ministry, thereby addressing barriers such as convenience, confidentiality, and accessibility. This case study demonstrates the potential of web-based solutions to improve the effectiveness and reach of student counseling services in higher education settings.

Abstract

The advancement of deep learning has significantly improved the automation of plant disease detection through image classification. This study compares the performance of standard DenseNet121 and an enhanced version incorporating Squeeze-and-Excitation (SE) blocks for classifying tomato leaf diseases. A dataset derived from PlantVillage was used, covering multiple disease categories and healthy leaves. To improve generalization, extensive data augmentation techniques were applied. Both architectures were implemented and trained using PyTorch, with evaluation metrics including accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and inference time. The experimental results demonstrate that DenseNet121-SE significantly outperforms the standard DenseNet121, achieving a classification accuracy of 99.00%. The integration of SE blocks allows the model to recalibrate channel-wise features adaptively, enhancing sensitivity to important patterns while maintaining computational efficiency. This study highlights the effectiveness of attention mechanisms and data augmentation in improving classification performance and supports their practical application in intelligent agriculture systems.

Abstract

This article formulates and demonstrates a Decision Support System (DSS) model for selecting a college major by placing interest and talent/aptitude as the core criteria using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The fully documented methodology includes criteria definition, normalization procedure (benefit/cost), weighting, score calculation, implementation pseudo-code, and weight sensitivity analysis. An illustrative study using a simulated dataset with five alternative study programs and six criteria shows consistent and transparent ranking for counselors and students. The results confirm the significance of interest-aptitude integration in recommendations, while demonstrating decision stability under moderate weight changes. Practical contributions include workflow design and functional specifications for web/desktop applications; further development is directed at AHP–SAW and fuzzy-SAW.
