Abstract

The advancement of information technology has driven digital transformation across various sectors, including healthcare services in hospitals. One of the common issues faced is the management of patient data and visit records, which are still handled manually, resulting in slow data retrieval, higher risk of errors, and inefficiency. This study aims to design and develop a web-based patient visit recording application to improve the effectiveness of data management at Delia General Hospital. The system development method used in this study is the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), which consists of analysis, design, implementation, and testing stages. The developed system includes key features such as management of patient data, doctors, medications, polyclinics, laboratories, medical procedures, visits, medical records, and user management. The application is built using web-based technology, allowing easy access through computer networks. The results of this study indicate that the developed system is capable of managing data in an integrated manner, accelerating information retrieval, and minimizing recording errors. In addition, the system provides convenience for administrators in managing data through available create, read, update, and delete (CRUD) features. Therefore, this application can support improved efficiency and quality of administrative services in hospitals.

Abstract

This study implements an artificial intelligence system based on Natural Language Processing (NLP) in a German-language Wordle game with the aim of providing automatically generated example sentences for each appearing word. The system is designed not only to display the correct answer, but also to present contextual usage of the word through simple and easily understandable sentences. The development process involves German text analysis, including verb tense forms (Zeitformen), verb conjugation, word structure, and basic sentence patterns, supported by Natural Language Processing techniques to generate example sentences and German– Indonesian translations automatically. Therefore, this system is expected to assist users in learning the German language through word- based game activities.

Abstract

Self-blaming and emotional exhaustion are key risk indicators for reduced engagement and well-being among students. This study applies interpretable (Decision Tree) and ensemble (Random Forest) classifiers to identify four risk groups: normal, self-blaming only, exhaustion only, and overlap (both). Using questionnaire-based emotional and behavioral indicators (Likert 1–5), the workflow follows CRISP-DM with preprocessing, stratified 80/20 split, class-imbalance handling, and evaluation using accuracy and macro/weighted F1. Results show low overlap prevalence but clinically meaningful high-risk subgroup. Random Forest achieves higher overall performance, while Decision Tree provides actionable rules for school counseling.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a web-based inmate visiting service system at the Class IIA Binjai Correctional Facility to improve efficiency, transparency, and accessibility for the public. The research method includes system requirements analysis, structured design approach, and implementation using web technologies that enable online visit registration. The system is designed to minimize queues, reduce administrative errors, and provide real-time visiting schedule information for both visitors and officers. The results of this study indicate that the developed system is capable of enhancing the quality of visiting services, accelerating administrative processes, and supporting more integrated and secure data management within the correctional facility environment.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has encouraged its application in various fields, including education. One of the most important administrative activities in schools is the student attendance process. However, attendance systems that are still conducted manually have several weaknesses, such as the risk of data manipulation, slow recap processes, and low efficiency in monitoring student attendance. Therefore, a more modern, effective, and accurate attendance system is needed. This study aims to design an interactive digital attendance system using barcode scanning technology and WhatsApp notifications at Dwiwarna Private Vocational High School, Medan. The system allows students to record their attendance quickly by scanning a unique barcode and provides real-time attendance information to parents or guardians through WhatsApp notifications. The system development method used in this research is Rapid Application Development (RAD), which emphasizes fast development, prototype-based processes, and active user involvement at every stage. The result of this study is a web-based attendance system that is able to improve the efficiency of attendance recording, minimize errors and fraud, and strengthen communication between the school and students’ parents. With the implementation of this system, it is expected that student attendance data management at Dwiwarna Private Vocational High School, Medan can be carried out more optimally, transparently, and accurately.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology provides opportunities for governments to improve the quality of public services, particularly in managing community complaints. At the village administrative level, complaint submission is often still conducted through conventional methods, which can lead to delays in handling reports, difficulties in data recording, and a lack of transparency regarding the status of submitted complaints. Therefore, a system is required to facilitate the community in submitting complaints in an easy and integrated manner. This study aims to design and develop a web-based community complaint service application for the Sumber Mulyo Rejo Village, Binjai Timur. The research method used includes observation, interviews, and literature studies to collect the necessary data for system development. The system development process consists of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and system testing using the Black Box Testing method. The developed system allows the community to submit complaint reports, monitor the status of their reports, and access information related to submitted complaints. Meanwhile, administrators can manage complaint reports, report categories, and user data through the provided administrative panel. The results of this study indicate that the developed application system can improve the efficiency of managing community complaints and support transparency as well as easier access to public services for both the community and village administration.

Abstract

The development of information technology encourages educational institutions to utilize web-based information systems to support more effective and efficient administrative management. Penraujan Junior High School still faces obstacles in managing teacher data which is done manually or using simple applications, so that it has the potential to cause recording errors, data duplication, and difficulties in finding and compiling reports. This research aims to design and build a web-based teacher data information system at Penraujan Junior High School using the Laravel framework. The methods used in this study include system needs analysis, system design, and system implementation and testing. The system was developed using the PHP programming language with the Laravel framework and MySQL database. The result of this research is in the form of a teacher data information system that is able to manage teacher data in an integrated manner, facilitate the process of storing, searching, and processing data, and producing accurate and up-to-date information. With this system, it is hoped that the management of teacher data at Penraujan Junior High School can be carried out more optimally and support the improvement of school administrative performance.

Abstract

Employee performance appraisal is an important aspect of human resource management that plays a role in improving organizational productivity and effectiveness. PT PLN Icon Plus Medan, as a company engaged in information and communication technology, faces challenges in its employee performance appraisal system, which is still carried out manually and subjectively. This study aims to design and develop a structured web-based employee performance appraisal system using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, the Flutter framework, and Pocketbase as a backend solution. This system is designed to produce more objective, transparent, and accountable assessments through consistent weighted calculations. The results of the study show that by integrating AHP, the system is able to convert subjective assessments into valid numerical data, while the use of Flutter enables the development of a responsive application that is easily accessible to employees and management. Pocketbase provides an efficient backend solution for real-time data management. This system is expected to improve efficiency in the employee performance evaluation process, support more accurate decision-making, and provide a strong foundation for competency development and human resource development policies at PT PLN Icon Plus Medan.

Abstract

Environmental degradation in Indonesia remains a serious issue due to the low level of public awareness in maintaining environmental cleanliness and sustainability. Conventional environmental education methods are considered less effective, especially for digital generations who require interactive and engaging learning media. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop EcoHike, an educational game with a mountain hiking theme based on Roblox Studio as a medium for environmental education. The EcoHike game is designed by integrating concepts of environmental cleanliness, nature conservation, and responsibility toward nature into interactive gameplay. The research method focuses on the game design and development stage using the Lua programming language, with limited testing on functionality and user experience aspects. The results of this study are expected to increase players’ awareness and understanding of the importance of environmental sustainability through a game-based learning approach, as well as demonstrate the potential of Roblox Studio as an innovative and accessible digital learning media platform.

Abstract

The school library plays an important role in supporting learning activities. However, library management at MTs Aisyiyah Binjai is still conducted manually, resulting in several problems such as unorganized book data records, slow borrowing and returning processes, and difficulties in generating library reports. This study aims to design a web-based library information system service to support more effective and efficient library data management. The research methods used include observation, interviews, and literature studies to collect data and identify system requirements. The designed system provides features for managing book data, member data, borrowing and returning transactions, and automatic library report generation. The results of this system design are expected to improve library service quality, accelerate administrative processes, and reduce data recording errors. With the implementation of a web-based library information system, the school is expected to manage the library in a more structured manner and support the improvement of students’ reading interest at MTs Aisyiyah Binjai.
