Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah mendorong perubahan signifikan dalam sistem administrasi pemerintahan, termasuk pada tingkat desa. Pengelolaan surat merupakan bagian penting dari administrasi desa karena berfungsi sebagai sarana komunikasi resmi, bukti administratif, serta arsip yang memiliki nilai hukum. Namun, pengelolaan surat di banyak kantor desa masih dilakukan secara manual, sehingga menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan seperti kesulitan pencarian arsip, risiko kehilangan data, dan keterlambatan proses disposisi surat. Kantor Desa Tambak Cekur juga menghadapi kendala serupa akibat sistem pengarsipan surat masuk dan surat keluar yang masih bersifat konvensional. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem manajemen surat berbasis website yang mampu mengelola data surat secara terintegrasi, efektif, dan efisien. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis kebutuhan sistem, perancangan, serta implementasi sistem berbasis web. Sistem yang dibangun memungkinkan penginputan, penyimpanan, pencarian, dan pelaporan data surat secara digital. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem manajemen surat berbasis website dapat meningkatkan efisiensi kerja aparatur desa, meminimalkan kesalahan pencatatan, serta mengurangi risiko kehilangan arsip. Dengan demikian, sistem ini diharapkan dapat mendukung peningkatan kualitas pelayanan administrasi publik dan menjadi langkah awal dalam penerapan e-government di tingkat desa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji penerapan metode Design Thinking dalam perancangan UI/UX aplikasi mobile untuk mendukung proses transaksi pemesanan makanan dan minuman di Café Braders Toast. Metode ini digunakan untuk memahami kebutuhan pengguna secara menyeluruh melalui tahapan empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test. Hasil observasi dan kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa proses pemesanan manual masih menimbulkan antrean panjang, keterlambatan pelayanan, serta potensi kesalahan pencatatan, sehingga diperlukan solusi digital yang lebih efektif. Pada tahap perancangan, dikembangkan prototype aplikasi dengan fitur utama seperti menu digital, sistem pemesanan terstruktur, dan alur pembayaran yang lebih praktis. Pengujian menggunakan System Usability Scale (SUS) melibatkan 15 responden, dan memperoleh skor 64,5 yang termasuk kategori “baik” serta dapat diterima pengguna. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa desain yang dihasilkan telah memenuhi aspek fungsionalitas dan kemudahan penggunaan, meskipun perbaikan lanjutan tetap diperlukan agar aplikasi semakin optimal. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan Design Thinking efektif dalam menghasilkan rancangan aplikasi mobile yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pelanggan dan mendukung peningkatan kualitas layanan transaksi di café.

Abstract

Wisata edukasi ramah anak merupakan bentuk wisata yang tidak hanya memberikan hiburan tetapi juga nilai edukasi untuk menunjang perkembangan anak. Namun, memilih destinasi wisata edukasi yang tepat sering menjadi tantangan bagi orang tua dan sekolah karena perlu mempertimbangkan berbagai kriteria, seperti keselamatan, fasilitas, aksesibilitas, dan nilai pendidikan. Keterbatasan informasi terintegrasi dan kesulitan dalam membandingkan alternatif yang tersedia semakin memperumit proses pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan sistem rekomendasi berbasis web untuk wisata edukasi ramah anak menggunakan metode Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). Metode TOPSIS diterapkan untuk menghasilkan rekomendasi yang objektif dan terukur berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Sistem yang dikembangkan diharapkan dapat membantu orang tua dan sekolah dalam memilih destinasi wisata yang aman, nyaman, dan edukatif yang memenuhi kebutuhan anak-anak, sehingga meningkatkan efektivitas dan akurasi proses pengambilan keputusan.

Abstract

This study classifies the skill levels of medical students based on their practical and theoretical scores using the Random Forest method. The data consist of secondary data obtained from the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, co vering students from the Medical Education Study Program across three cohorts (2021, 2022, and 2023) in the block “Basic Organ System of Special Sense, Reproduction and Urinary Tract.” The dataset includes 1,074 students with five assessment features: block exam score (UAB), practical score (average of Histology, Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry), tutorial score, SGD attitude score, and PIM attitude score. The Random Forest method is used to classify students into “Good” (final score ≥ 75) and “Poor” (final score < 75) skill categories. The results indicate that the model achieves an accuracy of 93.33%, with precision values of 94.12% for the “Good” category and 90.00% for the “Poor” category, as well as recall values of 97.56% and 78.26%, respectively. The most influential features are the block exam score (0.378), practical score (0.295), and tutorial score (0.192). The study also generates 11 expert-validated classification rules (average score 4.69/5.00) that can support early identification of students with lower skill levels. The Random Forest model demonstrates effectiveness and consistency, achieving accuracy above 92% across all cohorts, and supports the development of a machine learning–based evaluation system for medical students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara.

Abstract

Solar Power Generation Systems (SPGS) are a renewable energy solution that is increasingly being implemented on a household scale, but technical constraints related to reliability often arise due to mismatches between electricity production and load. This study aims to analyze the performance and reliability of a 500 WP solar power system through a quantitative descriptive approach. The parameters evaluated include output power, system efficiency, and power availability for household loads. Measurement results show that the total installed power load reaches 1,150 Watts with a daily energy consumption of 5.12 kWh. Meanwhile, the PLTS system is only capable of producing an average of 2.5 kWh of energy per day, resulting in an energy deficit of 2.62 kWh per day. These findings indicate that the installed system is not yet capable of supplying the load independently and currently only functions as a support system to reduce PLN electricity consumption. Additional energy storage capacity of at least 4 to 5 battery units with a capacity of 100-120Ah is needed to maintain power stability at night. This capacity mismatch affects system reliability, accelerates battery component degradation, and reduces Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF). More selective load management and additional solar panel capacity are the main recommendations for improving the efficiency and technical life of this residential solar power system.

Abstract

PT Bringin Karya Sejahtera is a company engaged in services and facility management and requires an integrated inventory system that operates effectively. Inventory management, which is still carried out manually or semi-computerized, often causes various issues, such as discrepancies in stock quantities, delays in report preparation, and difficulties in monitoring and controlling items. Based on these problems, this study aims to design and develop a web-based inventory system capable of supporting more accurate, fast, and efficient data management of items. The development method applied in this study is the Waterfall model, which includes stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system is built using a web-based programming language with centralized database support, allowing it to manage incoming and outgoing goods, stock inventory, and generate reports automatically and in real-time. The result of this research is a web-based inventory system that can improve inventory management effectiveness, reduce the potential for recording errors, and facilitate monitoring and reporting processes. With the implementation of this system, inventory management at PT Bringin Karya Sejahtera is expected to become more systematic, transparent, and efficient.

Abstract

The regulation of efficient energy supply within the distribution network is a significant difficulty for PT. PLN (Persero) UP2D North Sumatra in delivering dependable and stable services. This project seeks to create an automated system for regulating power supply in the distribution network through machine learning techniques. This system aims to forecast and enhance the allocation of electrical energy utilising historical data and current network circumstances. The dataset is partitioned into training data (training set) and testing data (testing/validation set) in specific ratios, such as 70%:30% or 80%:20%. The division is executed to preserve the temporal sequence (in time series scenarios) or to ensure a balanced representation (in classification scenarios). The employed machine learning approach is K-Means Clustering, utilised to analyse electricity consumption patterns and identify probable problems in the distribution network. The new centroid computation is based on the fact that each cluster contains a single data point, specifically C1 = (193, 205, 213), C2 = (153, 167, 170), and C3 = (179, 196, 200). This study's findings are anticipated to enhance the efficiency of energy distribution management, minimise downtime, and elevate the quality of service for consumers. By using a machine learning-driven automation system, PT. PLN UP2D North Sumatra can enhance its adaptability to load fluctuations and optimise the utilisation of current power supplies. The division is executed to preserve the temporal sequence (in the case of time series) or to ensure a balanced representation (in the case of classification).

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the culinary sector require fast, organized, and efficient services to improve customer satisfaction. Bakso Mas Anto Marelan is one of the MSMEs that still manages orders and queues manually, which often causes problems such as unorganized queues, order recording errors, and service delays. This study aims to design a website for order management and an automatic queue number system to improve service efficiency at Bakso Mas Anto Marelan. The research method includes needs analysis, system design, implementation, and application testing. The designed website allows operators to manage order data, monitor order status, and automatically generate queue numbers. The automatic queue number system helps arrange customer service order fairly and transparently. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of an order management website and an automatic queue number system can accelerate service processes, reduce recording errors, and improve queue management. Therefore, the designed website is expected to be an effective solution to enhance service efficiency in MSMEs, particularly at Bakso Mas Anto Marelan.

Abstract

Single line-to-ground faults are among the most frequently occurring disturbances in high-voltage transmission systems and are strongly influenced by the sensitivity settings of the Ground Fault Relay (GFR). This study aims to analyze the suitability of ground fault relay settings in response to short-circuit faults in the 150 kV transmission system at Paya Pasir Substation. The research method involves evaluating existing relay settings on feeder bays, bus couplers, and power transformers, then comparing them with calculation standards based on 7% of the smallest short-circuit capacity (CCC). To obtain optimal relay settings, power system simulations were conducted using ETAP version 19.0.1 by modeling the network in a single-line diagram and analyzing single line-to-ground faults. The results show that most existing GFR settings do not meet protection sensitivity standards, with 60% of feeder bay settings classified as unsuitable. After ETAP simulation and protection parameter adjustments, improved relay sensitivity and selectivity were achieved, ensuring proper protection coordination among feeders, busbars, and power transformers. Therefore, ETAP simulation is proven to be an effective tool for evaluating and optimizing ground fault relay settings in a 150 kV transmission system.

Abstract

The 20 kV distribution network is crucial for ensuring the uninterrupted supply of power to users in the PT. PLN UP2D North Sumatra Region. Disruptions in this network, including short circuits, overloads, and transient disturbances, can diminish system reliability and prolong outage durations if not promptly identified and rectified. This study seeks to develop a disturbance detection and recovery system for a 20 kV distribution network utilizing real-time analysis through the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm. The system is designed by utilizing real-time electrical parameter data, including current, voltage, and network operational conditions, sourced from monitoring devices. The data undergoes preprocessing, feature extraction, and classification stages utilizing SVM to differentiate between normal and fault circumstances. The classification outcomes serve as the foundation for decision-making in isolating the fault zone and restoring supply to the unaffected segments of the network. The system's performance is assessed according to detection accuracy, response speed, and its capacity to facilitate the disturbance recovery process both automatically and semi-automatically. This research aims to enhance the dependability of the 20 kV distribution network, expedite fault resolution, and facilitate the advancement of a more intelligent, efficient, and responsive electrical distribution system.
