Abstract

The situation in Indonesia is currently being hit by the spread of COVID-19. A number of policies were immediately taken by the government to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19. One of the policies in the education sector taken by the government related to the COVID-19 case is Online Learning for students. Furthermore, the ability to understand mathematics is also important for students to have, because this ability is a prerequisite for someone to have mathematical problem solving abilities. This study aims to make readers aware of the effect of online learning on students' mathematical understanding abilities. This study uses a survey method directly to students in schools with quantitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques used are test and non-test techniques. The instrument used in this study was a test of the mathematical understanding ability of 10th grade high school students and a questionnaire questionnaire. The subjects of this study were the 10th grade students of MA Al-I'dadiyyah Bahrul Ulum as many as 27 students. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, the effect of online learning on mathematical understanding ability shows a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, then o is rejected and is accepted, and the study concludes that online learning affects the mathematical understanding ability of 10th grade students of MA Al-I'dadiyyah Bahrul Ulum on matrix addition and subtraction operations.

Abstract

The library as an institution that manages information sources should be used as the main key in the existing education and training process, both in the school environment, outside of school, the world of work and society in general. However, the reality is still far from expectations. Libraries are still not really popular in the community, this is indicated by the low interest in reading in the community and the lack of awareness that learning must find information or answers to the problems they face, namely by reading. This very low reading habit makes the ability of some students at school to be low. Therefore, the analysis of student library reading interest at MAN 9 Jombang. It is very necessary to find solutions in an effort to improve student learning. Because with a high enthusiasm for learning will spur very high achievement for students.

Abstract

The current Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted the conventional learning process which had been done face-to-face. So a solution is needed to answer this problem. Online learning is one alternative that can overcome this problem. The purpose of this study was to determine the mathematical communication skills of students at State High School 3 Jombang, which during this pandemic had an online learning process. The subjects of this study were students of class 10th MAN 3 Jombang. The data were collected by giving a test in the form of 3 essay questions, giving a questionnaire and an interview. The analysis was carried out using the One Sample T-test technique and the results showed that the t-count values in the description test and questionnaire were 35,327 and 102,384, respectively, with a significance of 0.000. The significance value shows 0.000 < 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a significant effect of online learning on the mathematical communication skills of class 10th MAN 3 Jombang

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve student's English skills in grammar skills through android-based learning media. This research uses R&D research method. The data collection in this study was obtained by sharing questioner, to know the needs and obstacles experienced by students in learning grammar. To meet validity and reliability, the researchers used two validators tasked with testing the feasibility of learning media for students to use. Testers consist of material experts and media design experts. The results of this study show that application-based learning media is feasible to use. Improvements can be seen from the use of data analysis techniques to calculate scores from questionnaires using Linkert scale techniques with 5 answer options. According to the assessment by 15 students, the total score obtained was 593, the total score was then calculated using the formula described earlier to determine the feasibility of learning media. The average score obtained from the respondence is 39.5, the data then re-calculates. So, the assessment results by respondents were 3.95 which fall into the category of good and worth using. The benefits of research conducted to facilitate students in learning grammar using android applications. Based on the results of the study, students can conclude that learning grammar is easier using the Grammar Android Application.

Abstract

English is an international language that is indispensable in addition to knowledge of English as well as a means of communication. Learning requires the media to convey it to students. The researcher uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development process. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of the development of instructional media in the form of PowerPoint hyperlinks as a tool that helps increase students' learning motivation and the effectiveness of learning media in grade 8th. The sample of students in this study were grade 8th students of MTs Bahrul Ulum Tambak Beras Jombang with 12 students’ responses. Data collection instruments used in this study were interviews and questionnaires. The feasibility of the product was tested for media validation and material validation, each of which has a value of 96% for media and 76% for the material. The results showed that students' vocabulary comprehension skills increased after learning with the PowerPoint application. Learning media hyperlinks that have been validated and revised are appropriate as a tool to increase students' learning motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop mathematics learning instruments in the form of communicative skills-based modules that conform to 4C's criteria on trigonometric ratio. This research uses Research and Development methods adapted in the development of the ADDIE model. The subjects of this study were class X learners at Madinatul ‘Ulum Jombang High School for the academic year 2020/2021. As for data collection techniques are interviews and questionnaires. Researchers designed a learning instrument in the form of communicative-based modules. The results of this study showed that (1) Assessment of the validity of learning instruments in the form of communicative-based modules by two material experts received a percentage of 94% and 75.5% with a very valid and quite valid category. (2) Assessment of the practicality of learning instruments in the form of communicative-based modules by learners gets a percentage of 82.07% with a very practical category. Based on the results of the above research, researchers concluded that learning instruments in the form of communicative-based modules are declared valid and practical based on the assessment of experts and learners, so it is worth using in mathematical learning.
