Abstract

Research had been taken to see Student’s Soft Skill Profile of University on Developing Biology Education Program Lecture, on 2010/2011 Academic Year, through March until June 2011. Total Sample for this research is all of the students on the University who were taking Developing Biology Education Program Lecture that consist of 43 students (40 students are female and 3 students are male). Parameter of this research is Soft Skill describe in 7 indicators which are creativity, self-confidence, independent, motivation, critical thinking, time management and team-work. Instruments that were used are Soft Skill score base on the process using the all of seventh soft skill indicators and scoring work performance using 2 indicators from all of seventh Soft Skill. The result of the research shows Soft Skill score base on process is average 67.26% (enough). On RPP and LKS process the average score 65.41% (enough), on Mikro Education average score 62.94% (enough), on media presentation process average score 75.29% (good), and from all of the seventh Soft Skill indicators, the highest score is team-work indicator with average 88% (very good), whereas the lowest score is critical thinking indicator with average score 68% (enough). Soft Skill Profile score on team-work indicator is average 73.72% (enough), on the RPP work performance is 60.91% (enough score), on the LKS is 62.80% (enough), on educative media 85.79% (very good), on teaching material is 85.40% (very good), among two Soft Skill indicators the highest score is critical thinking indicator whose score is 74.19% (enough), meanwhile, the lowest score is creativity with score 73.26% (enough). By totally, Soft Skill Profile of university student score base on process and work performance on Developing Biology Education lecture is 70.49% within enough category.Keywords : Education Program, Soft Skill,

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of mung bean extract on the quality of Nata de cassava and poster design of biotechnology subject matter at the XII grade high school level in June-August 2020. This research was conducted in 2 stages, namely the experimental stage: the effect of giving mung bean extract to the quality of Nata de Cassava and the second stage of poster design: analysis of the potential development of biotechnology teaching materials for class XII high school level. This study used an experimental method by conducting experiments at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Pekanbaru. Sampling was carried out with a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The parameters in this study were thickness analysis and acidity (pH) analysis. Based on the results of the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at the 5% level, giving green bean extract showed a significant effect on the quality of Nata de cassava. Giving green bean extract of 600 ml gives an increase in the quality of the best Nata de cassava and based on the analysis of the potential research results can be used as a poster design for class XII high school level biotechnology material.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This research was aimed at studying the identification of bacteria from the liquid waste of petroleum from August to October 2014. The result of research was used to development a learning module in basic microbiology course. This research was implemented in 2 steps, they are Laboratory research and development a learning module by use of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) development. Isolation of bacteria was under taken using thinning methods (platting methods) grown at solid media Stone Mineral Salt Solution Extract Yeast (SMSSe) added with crude oil as selective media. Colonies observed on the media after incubation on the temperature 28-300C for 24-48 hours were identified based on macroscopic observations, microscopic and biochemical tests to ensure that the bacteria identified was absolutely petroleum bacteria. The research result carried out 3 genera of bacteria namely Enterobacter, Pseudomonas and Klebsiella. The result of research is developed as learning module in the concept of prokaryot to enrich teaching materials in basic microbiology course. Key words: Identification, SMSSe Media, Learning Module

Abstract

The  research  accumulation  of Leads in Lichens  thallus  had  carried  out  on  March  until  June 2003.  Samples o f   Lichenes   was   taken   from   tree   bark   at   three   locations   in   Pekanbaru   City ,   were;   Sudirman   and Soebrantas  streets.   The  accumulation  of  Leads  analyze  with  Atomic  Absorbance  Spectrophotometers - AAS .  The  results of this research  that  Lead  contents  in Lichenes that  grow  on  tree  bark on  Pekanbaru City about    4,36 - 23,14  ppm.  The  correlation  of relative  humidity  of air  with  Lead  accumulation  in  Lichenes  thallus had  more higher  than another  factors .   Key words : Leads, Lichenes, Pekanbaru city

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research aims to improve students written scientific argumentation through the application of  problem based learning into enviromental pollution main subject at class X Science. The research was a Classroom Action Research (CAR). It was carried out in two cycles in which each cycle consists of  four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of the research was 38 students of X Science.The source of the data came from teacher and students. Technique of collecting data used tests, interviews, and documentation. The main data about students written scientific argumentation covers three aspects, they are: claim, evidence, and reasoning. The technique used to validate this data was triangulation method. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis technique. The research procedure used eas the spiral method. The reasearch target was improvement of written scientific argumentation increase ≥30% from base line.The result showed the application of problem based learning can improve written scientific argumentation students at class X Science. Percentage performance students written scientific argumentation in pre-action is 36,55% with a low category, consists of claim at  50,88% with a medium category, evidence at  35,09% with a low category; and reasoning at 23,68% with a low category. Percentage performance students written scientific argumentation in the first cycle increased to 57,89% with a medium category, consists of claim at  64,91% with a high category, evidence at  56,14% with a medium category; and reasoning at 52,63% with a medium category. Percentage performance students written scientific argumentation in the second cycle increased to 86,55% with a very high category, consists of claim at  97,37% with a very high category, evidence at  85,97%  with a very high category; and reasoning at 76,31% with a high category. Data increase written scientific argumentation from pre-action to second cycle has been increased according to the target is ≥30%. Key Words:written scientific argumentation, problem based learning, enviromental pollution.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Has conducted a descriptive study aims to provide an overview of the scientific attitude of students on the course in the Aquatic Ecology Studies Program Riau University Biology Education Academic Year 2014/2015. The samples were students of Biology Education FKIP Riau University who took a course Aquatic Ecology Academic Year 2014/2015 amounted to 99 people. Parameter research is the scientific attitude indicators: an attitude of curiosity, collaboration, conscientious, honest, critical and responsible attitude. Data was collected using observation sheets, scientific attitude in the four meetings in the course Aquatic Ecology. The results showed that the attitude of scientific curiosity at every meeting is 74.12 - 77.69% to the category of good, conscientious attitude to every meeting is 72.47 - 80.30% with the good category, the attitude of responsibility is 73.23 - 77.78% good category, cooperative attitude of students is 75.51 - 89.65% excellent category, a critical stance is 73.23 - 77.53% categorized as good and honest attitude of students at each meeting is 73.23 - 76.52% with the good category. Abstract

This researh aims to determine the perceptions of lecturers towards integration MKB Character Education in Biology Faculty of Teacher Education Program University of Riau. The research was conducted in May-August 2012. The parameters of this research are the perception and understanding lecturers. The data technique collecting is closed questionaires and open questionnaires to determine lecturer perceptions of the character education and tests to determine lecturer understanding. Enclosed questionaire consisted of two indicators: (1) character education with 4 sub-indicators and (2) implementation of character education with 2 sub-indicators. Comprehension test has two indicators: (1) character education with 5 sub-indicators and (2) development of character education with 3 sub-indicators. Abstract

Sumber daya alam yang sangat dibutuhkan manusia adalah air. Ketersediaan air tawar atau air bersih mengalami kelangkaan seiring dengan pertumbuhan penduduk. Salah satu sumber air tawar yang menjadi perhatian adalah sungai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi tutupan lahan, aktivitas masyarakat serta menganalisis kaitannya dengan kualitas perairan Sungai Subayang tahun 2017-2020. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di wilayah Sub-sub Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Subayang, Kecamatan Kampar Kiri Hulu, Kabupaten Kampar pada Juni-Agustus 2021. Data primer penelitian didapatkan melalui observasi lapangan dan wawancara. Data sekunder meliputi data tutupan lahan bersumber dari KLHK dan data pengkuran kualitas air Sungai Subayang 2017-2020 bersumber dari Tim Fresh Water and Fisheries WWF Indonesia- Central Sumatra. Sampel pengamatan dari bagian hulu ke hilir berada di desa Aur Kuning, Batu Songgan dan Tanjung Belit. Penentuan status mutu kualitas air sungai dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan Indeks Pencemaran (IP) berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup Nomor 115 tahun 2003, dan penentuan baku mutu berdasarkan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 22 Tahun 2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan parameter suhu, kecepatan aliran sungai (arus), kekeruhan, oksigen terlarut, dan pH dari tahun 2017-2020, air Sungai Subayang berada pada kualitas baik dengan Indeks Pencemaran (IP) berkisar 0,27-0,80 (memenuhi nilai baku mutu kelas 2). Kualitas perairan yang baik tersebut berkaitan dan dipengaruhi oleh kondisi tutupan lahan yang masih didominasi hutan (97-99,15%), praktek pemanfaatan hutan dan sungai berbasis kearifan lokal, serta mulai membaiknya pengelolaan limbah dan aktivitas MCK oleh masyarakat.

Abstract

Berpikir komputasi adalah rangkaian proses yang dilakukan secara kreatif dalam menerapkan penyelesaian masalah yang meliputi ide, tantangan, dan peluang yang ditemui guna mengembangkan solusi yang dipilih. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi guru biologi terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis computational thinking di Sekolah Menengah Atas se Kecamatan Kayen yang terdiri dari SMA Negeri 1 Kayen, SMA PGRI 2 Kayen, SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Kayen, SMA Joyokusumo Kayen, dan SMA Rifaiyah Kayen. Manfaat dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi guru biologi terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis computational thinking di Sekolah Menengah Atas se Kecamatan Kayen. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru biologi yang bertugas di Sekolah Menenengah Atas di Kecamatan Kayen yang berjumlah 10 guru.  Data hasil penelitian ini diperoleh dengan membagikan angket kepada seluruh guru biologi yang berada di Sekolah Menengah Atas se Kecamatan Kayen. Teknik analisis data untuk mencari nilai hitung atau statistik untuk selanjutnya diinterpretasikan untuk pengampilan keputusan penelitian dengan  menggunakan SPSS versi 20 for windows. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistika inferensial diperoleh persentase persepsi guru biologi terhadap computational thinking berjumlah 51,9% dengan jumlah responden 7 orang dengan kategori cukup, 46,2% dengan kategori baik dengan jumlah responden 2 orang, sedangkan 1,9% dengan kategori sangat baik dengan jumlah responden 1 orang saja. Berdasarkan hasil data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa, persepsi guru biologi terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis computational thinking  di Sekolah Menengah Atas se Kecamatan Kayen tergolong cukup dengan persentase yang tinggi yaitu 51,9% dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 7 orang.

Abstract

Penelitian pencarian agen tabir surya alami terus dikembangkan untuk mendapatkan agen tabir surya yang lebih aman. Tabir surya diperlukan untuk melindungi kulit dari bahaya sinar ultraviolet (UV). Sinar UV dapat bermanfaat bagi tubuh, namun menjadi berbahaya jika berlebih. Kemampuan suatu bahan dalam melindungi dari bahaya sinar UV biasa dinyatakan dalam sun protection factor (SPF). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai SPF ekstrak metanol daun rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum). Penelitian ini nantinya dapat digunakan untuk menambah wawasan mengenai potensi daun rambutan untuk digunakan sebagai agen tabir surya alami. Proses ekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut metanol. Pengukuran nilai SPF dilakukan secara in vitro menggunakan metode spektrofotometri kemudian nilai absorbansi yang diperoleh dihitung menggunakan persamaan Mansur. Proses ekstraksi menghasilkan ekstrak pasta hitam kehijauan beraroma khas daun. Ekstrak metanol daun rambutan dengan konsentrasi 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, dan 1000 ppm memiliki kemampuan proteksi terhadap sinar UV, dinyatakan dalam nilai SPF berturut-turut sebesar 5,710; 10,398; 16,320; 20,920; 26,152; dan 37,983. Hasil yang berbeda dari tanaman yang sama dapat terjadi dikarenakan pengambilan bagian tubuh tanaman yang berbeda untuk diekstrak serta penggunaan jenis pelarut organik yang berbeda untuk proses ekstraksinya. Dalam penelitian ini, ekstrak metanol daun rambutan pada konsentrasi 100 dan 200 ppm memiliki kemampuan proteksi minimal, konsentrasi ekstrak 300-500 ppm memiliki kemampuan proteksi sedang, sedangkan konsentrasi ekstrak 1000 ppm memiliki kemampuan proteksi tinggi
