Abstract

Porang is a leading commodity with export potential that is widely cultivated in Madiun District. The success story of farmers in cultivating porang led to the inauguration of the Pusat Pelatihan Pertanian dan Perdesaan Swadaya (P4S) Porang Kepel in Kare Subdistrict to support efforts to develop and sustain porang farming in Madiun District. The purpose of this study was to understand the role of P4S Porang Kepel in providing training that influences farmers' internal characteristics and the sustainability of porang farming through an approach using path analysis. This research employs a quantitative approach using path analysis with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to examine the relationships between P4S roles (as a learning group, facilitator, and consultant) and the three dimensions of farming sustainability: economic, physical environmental, and social. The role of P4S Porang Kepel as a study group has a direct negative influence on the physical environment aspects of sustainability and a negative indirect effect on the economic and social aspects, with the physical environment as an intervening variable. In contrast, the role of P4S Porang Kepel has a positive indirect effect on the social aspect of sustainability through the intervening variable of attitude toward porang farming. These different types of influence stem from the role of P4S as a study group, along with information from traders, which created cognitive dissonance for farmers in assessing the sustainability of porang farming.

Abstract

The digitization of government administration has encouraged the management of civil servant data through a national personnel information system, but at the same time has increased the risk of misuse and sale of personal data. Law Number 27 of 2022 concerning Personal Data Protection (PDP Law) emphasizes the obligation to protect data, including civil servant data, and regulates criminal sanctions for the unlawful acquisition and use of data. This study aims to analyze the suitability of the classification of ASN personal data according to Article 4 of the PDP Law with data management practices at the State Civil Service Agency and the Banten Provincial Civil Service Agency, as well as to examine the forms of criminal liability for the sale of ASN data based on Articles 65 and 67 of the PDP Law. This study uses a mixed method with a normative and empirical legal approach through analysis of legislation, criminal law doctrine, and in-depth interviews at the BKN and BKD Banten Province. The results of the study show that ASN data management practices are not yet fully in line with the data classification in the PDP Law, especially regarding access restrictions and data use control, making it difficult to prove the element of “without rights.” Nevertheless, the sale of ASN data still gives rise to individual criminal liability as an intentional offense. This study confirms that strengthening the governance of civil servant data and establishing a PDP supervisory agency are important prerequisites for the effective enforcement of criminal law on personal data protection.

Abstract

The Boschbouw area is one of the heritage landscapes of forestry education from the Dutch East Indies colonial era, shaped by various historical dynamics of functions in Madiun City. Despite its historical value, the region has suffered from visual degradation, functional fragmentation, and loss of identity readability. This research aims to examine the historical dynamics, spatial character, visual quality, and potential for sustainable use of the area. The research method employs a mixed approach, drawing on primary sources from direct observation of four main aspects—ecology, economy and efficiency, equity and safety, as well as aesthetics—and secondary sources including document data, literature, and community perception questionnaires. The results of the analysis show that the area still retains its core elements, but the quality of the space has decreased due to development pressures, dysfunctional irregularities, and a lack of management integration. The analysis emphasizes that the area has strategic value for utilization, supported by historical attractions, creative economic potential, and high public acceptance. This study concludes that utilization should be directed toward strengthening regional identity to develop the Boschbouw area as an adaptive and sustainable landscape.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the limitations of existing copyright regulations (Law 28/2014, 40/1999, 32/2002) which create a regulatory vacuum on the inequality of publisher rights as well as the juridical implications of Presidential Regulation 32/2024 on the responsibility of digital platforms to support quality journalism. Using normative legal methods with legal, conceptual, comparative (Australia-EU) approaches, and triangulation of Rawls's theory, Lex Specialis (Manan), Suzor through qualitative literature studies. The results of the study show that Presidential Regulation 32/2024 as a lex specialis legitimately operationalizes publisher rights via distribution priority (Article 5), revenue sharing of Rp105 trillion (Article 7), the oversight committee of the Press Council (Articles 9-17), revolutionizing the platform capitalism into collaborative co-regulation. The novelty of the research lies in the first Rawls-Lex Specialis-Suzor Triangulation analyzing Presidential Decree 32/2024 as Indonesia's digital constitutionalism fills the gap in the conventional copyright literature against algorithmic governance.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted to address the Spirit Enthusiast Community's limited understanding of basic distillation techniques and their dependence on juniper berries at Brew & Butter, Tangerang. Dependence on imported materials raises production costs and limits innovation in botanical spirit products. The purpose of this activity was to enhance participants' knowledge and competence in producing botanical spirits through simple distillation techniques that utilize local spices as alternatives to traditional botanical ingredients. Implementation involved material presentations, distillation demonstrations using a simple pot still, botanical compounding practice, and basic organoleptic evaluation. Effectiveness was measured via pre-test and post-test assessments of participants' understanding. Results showed significant improvements in comprehension of the distillation process, characteristics of local spice aromas, principles of equipment hygiene, and participants' ability to evaluate the aroma, taste, and aftertaste of botanical spirits. Participants responded positively to the training's relevance and benefits. This activity strengthens the capacity of the spirit enthusiast community, promotes innovation based on Indonesian spices, and supports the development of more creative and sustainable craft spirits.

Abstract

The management of household organic waste remains a significant challenge in various rural areas of Indonesia, including Centong Village, Gondang Subdistrict, Mojokerto Regency. The SIKOMPAS program (Socialization of Takakura Composting for the Community) was implemented as a community service initiative by the BBK student team of Universitas Airlangga to introduce organic waste management methods using the Takakura composting technique and the utilization of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae. The program employed an educative and participatory approach through hands-on demonstrations and knowledge evaluation via pre- and post-tests. The results showed a significant increase in participants’ understanding of key concepts, technical steps, and the environmental and economic benefits of the Takakura and BSF composting methods. All participants demonstrated active involvement and improved post-test scores across nearly all knowledge indicators. The program also contributed to achieving SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 13 (Climate Action) through reduced air pollution from waste burning and mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions. Thus, SIKOMPAS is effective as a community-based intervention in establishing an independent, low-emission, and sustainable organic waste management system.

Abstract

This study analyzes how the rights of creditors who hold guarantees in the PKPU process are affected by the rejection of the peace agreement. This research was prepared using juridical doctrinal research methods and legal comparisons between the provisions in Law Number 37 of 2004 concerning Bankruptcy and PKPU in Indonesia and the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act in Canada. The right of creditors of the guarantor in PKPU who reject the peace agreement as mentioned in Article 281 paragraph (2) of Law Number 37 of 2004 concerning Bankruptcy and PKPU is stated to receive compensation equal to the lowest value among the value of the collateral in the collateral document or the value of the collateral object determined by the appraiser appointed by the Supervisory Judge or the actual value of the loan. However, there are no further arrangements regarding the mechanism, period and legal consequences for the application or violation of these provisions, thus creating a legal vacuum and potentially harming the right of the creditor to obtain compensation. Furthermore, the creditors of the guarantor also cannot or at least have difficulty executing the object of the guarantee to obtain repayment of receivables against the debtor. On the other hand, in the restructuring process through the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act in Canada, the creditor of the guarantor may execute the object of the guarantee with the approval of the judge if it does not approve the restructuring plan submitted by the debtor and can prove that the debtor no longer has the ability to carry out the restructuring plan and the debtor is unable to carry out its debt payment obligations to creditors. This can be conveyed by submitting an application to the court to lift the stay period to execute the object of the guarantee. In the end, this study proposes a form of further regulation of Article 281 paragraph (2) of Law Number 37 of 2004 concerning Bankruptcy and PKPU, which is at least in the form of a Government Regulation to regulate the mechanism, period, and legal consequences of the provision of compensation from debtors for creditors who reject the peace plan in the PKPU process.

Abstract

The growth of crypto asset investors in Indonesia will reach 20.9 million by August 2024, but the Marriage Law Number 1 of 1974 has not specifically regulated digital assets, both as joint property and personal property. This research aims to analyze the categorization of crypto assets as business assets that can be regulated through prenuptial and postnuptial agreements to protect the rights of each party. The research approach used is juridical-normative through a literature review of laws, government regulations, academic references, and relevant scientific works. The findings of the study show that crypto assets are grouped into movable objects that do not have a form according to Articles 499 and 503 of the Civil Code, and qualify as business assets because they function as taxable investment instruments. Therefore, the regulation of crypto assets in prenuptial agreements or postnuptial agreements based on Article 35 paragraph (2) jo. Article 29 of the Marriage Law is important to provide legal certainty regarding the status of ownership and division of property.
