Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of ease of e-Filing use, quality of digital tax services, and data security system quality on individual taxpayer compliance, with risk preference as a moderating variable. The research object consists of Pizza Hut employees in Indonesia who are registered individual taxpayers. This quantitative study employs a survey method and Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) for data analysis. The findings indicate that all three independent variables have a significant positive effect on tax compliance. Risk preference moderates the relationship between ease of e-Filing and service quality with compliance, but does not moderate the effect of data security on compliance. The study contributes theoretically and practically to the development of more inclusive and psychologically informed digital taxation strategies.

Abstract

In the era of digital learning, YouTube has emerged as a platform that is not only for entertainment but also effective in language learning, particularly in improving English listening skills for EFL learners. Listening is a fundamental skill in language acquisition; however, many students face difficulties due to different accents, fast speech, and unfamiliar vocabulary. YouTube provides authentic audiovisual content that supports comprehension, captures students' interest, and enhances learning motivation. The purpose of this research was to identify the correlation between YouTube use and students' motivation to learn English listening skills at a university in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. Using a quantitative correlational research design, 23 students participated as respondents and were assessed through a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring YouTube usage frequency and motivation levels. Data analyzed with Spearman's rank correlation indicated a significant positive relationship (rho = 0.502; p = 0.015), suggesting that higher YouTube usage is associated with higher students' learning motivation. The findings indicate that integrating YouTube into language learning provides authentic, engaging, and diverse materials that can enhance students' motivation and listening comprehension. However, motivation is also influenced by other factors such as classroom environment, teacher support, and social interactions. Future research is recommended to involve a larger sample and consider additional variables to better understand factors affecting learning motivation in digital contexts.

Abstract

Rigid pavement on airport service roads is essential for smooth vehicle operations, with subgrade conditions being the primary factor in determining concrete slab thickness. Variations in the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) of the subgrade commonly affect pavement thickness and construction costs. This study analyzes how changes in subgrade CBR impact rigid pavement thickness for service roads using the empirical method of Pd T-14-2003. It also compares the results with international standards, including FAA AC 150/5320-6G and ICAO Annex 14, to validate findings and assess the relevance of Indonesian standards globally. The research involved collecting traffic data and geotechnical parameters and calculating design thickness variations based on CBR values. Results indicate that each 1% increase in CBR decreases the required concrete slab thickness by 4 mm: 163 mm at 6% CBR, 158 mm at 7%, and 155 mm at 8%. Comparison with international standards shows that Pd T-14-2003 tends to produce conservative designs. However, integrating mechanistic-empirical approaches could improve safety and economic efficiency. These findings demonstrate that enhancing subgrade quality can reduce slab thickness, leading to material savings and lower construction costs. This study advances the traditional CBR approach by incorporating advanced soil mechanics principles and offers a framework for adopting international best practices in Indonesian airport pavement design, supporting the advancement of domestic aviation infrastructure.

Abstract

Streetscape plays a crucial role in shaping the visual identity of urban areas and supporting the function of public spaces as hubs for social interaction and creative economic activities. This study examines the physical transformation of streetscape elements in the “Old City” of Banjarmasin across three phases: pre-intervention (2015–2017), post-rejuvenation (2018–2020), and post-revitalization (2021–2023). Using Habraken’s theory of Form, the Physical Order with its levels of intervention—support, infill, and treatments—this research employs qualitative methods, including literature review and visual documentation through Google Maps and Google Street View. The analysis focuses on streetscape components such as roads, building elements, and street furniture. Findings reveal that before intervention, the streetscape appeared basic and lacked regional identity. The rejuvenation phase brought aesthetic improvements through paving blocks, guiding blocks, signage, and the addition of furniture. The revitalization phase introduced more profound changes, including adaptive reuse of old shophouses, murals, creative signage, and rearranged façades, which collectively strengthened the area’s visual identity. These transformations demonstrate a progression from support to infill and treatments, resulting in a dynamic, adaptive environment aligned with the socio-cultural needs of modern communities, particularly Generation Z. The study contributes theoretically to housing and settlement architecture and provides practical insights for sustainable urban rejuvenation and revitalization projects, highlighting the novelty of applying the levels of intervention framework to streetscape transformation.

Abstract

The Village Fund is a strategic policy to promote equitable rural development and empower local communities in Indonesia. However, despite notable effectiveness—reflected in high fund absorption, improved village status, reduced unemployment, and increased income—its implementation faces significant efficiency challenges due to overlapping regulations, fragmented authority, and poor institutional coordination. This study aims to analyze the factors affecting the effectiveness and efficiency of Village Fund management and to formulate a comprehensive policy model. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through literature review, interviews, focus group discussions, and field observations, followed by coding analysis. The findings reveal that macro-level issues such as regulatory dualism and institutional conflicts cascade into micro-level inefficiencies, including the neglect of community empowerment and underutilized village institutions. To address these challenges, the study proposes a conceptual model that integrates the four formal objects of government science—authority, institutional relations, public services, and welfare—with the "one-door" policy approach. This model advocates for centralizing Village Fund authority under one coordinating ministry supported by others, thereby streamlining structure, enhancing public service efficiency, and improving community welfare. The study also emphasizes transparency, responsiveness, technological integration, and inclusive participation as critical components. The implications suggest that while the model offers structural clarity and governance innovation, further empirical research using positivist methods is required to validate and operationalize its impact in practice.

Abstract

This study examines the determination of jurisdiction and locus delicti in transnational cybercrime from the perspective of international law and Indonesian telematics law. The borderless nature of cyberspace poses complex challenges for identifying the crime scene (TKP) and enforcing jurisdiction, as perpetrators may operate from one country while causing impacts across multiple states. Using a normative juridical method, the research analyzes primary legal materials such as the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime, the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime (2024), Indonesia’s Law No. 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE Law), Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (PDP Law), and the Draft Law on Cybersecurity and Resilience (RUU KKS). Case studies—including cyberattacks on Taiwan (2024–2025), INTERPOL’s 2025 Africa ransomware report, and the 2025 transnational financial crime operation—demonstrate how concurrent and extraterritorial jurisdiction principles apply in practice. The findings indicate that the locus delicti in cybercrime is multifaceted, encompassing the perpetrator’s location, the breached server, and the place where damage occurs. Effective prosecution requires coordination through international cooperation and harmonization of national regulations with global conventions. The study concludes that Indonesia must strengthen its legal framework by ratifying the UN Convention against Cybercrime, adopting concurrent jurisdiction principles, and establishing an inter-agency task force for cross-border investigations to enhance legal certainty and protect national interests in the digital era.
