Abstract

Indonesia is a country where the majority of the population is Muslim, especially Aceh. So it is not surprising that you can find many mosques with magnificent architecture and a great historical background. With globalization, many new architectural styles have emerged, for example eclectic architecture which influences the exterior and interior shapes of mosques. The application of eclectic architecture in the design process by adopting elements that are considered the best originating from local and non-local architecture so as to produce a building model that has its own charm and characteristics. One element of foreign architecture that is now being adopted domestically is Middle Eastern architecture. This phenomenon made researchers interested in conducting research on one of the mosques that displays Middle Eastern accents on its building facade, namely the Haji Keuchiek Leumiek Mosque, Banda Aceh. This research aims to reveal the eclectic aspects of the Haji Keuchiek Leumiek Mosque building, as well as which facade elements adopt Middle Eastern architecture. The method used to obtain data in this research is a comparative-qualitative method. Data collection techniques are carried out through observing the location of the study object, conducting interviews and documenting it in photographs, then comparing it with expert theories to reach conclusions. The results of the analysis show that the Haji Keuchiek Leumiek Mosque was built with characteristics of eclecticism. Middle Eastern architecture and various regional ornamental arts combine to create unique design aspects of the mosque. Awan Meucanek, Bungoeng Meulu, Bungoeng Putik, Sulur Oen Teube, Awan, and Bungong Geulima are examples of local ornaments in mosque architecture. The findings show that when compared with the remains of Islamic dynasties, the architecture of this Middle Eastern mosque is not exactly the same. However, in general, the architectural design of this mosque is very similar to mosques built during the Fatimid and Timurid periods.

Abstract

Providing housing with limited land reserves. With the increasing population, people use riverside land to build housing. River bank settlements are settlements that still exist today, even though many cases of evictions or natural disasters have occurred in these settlements. House buildings on the banks of rivers have Government Regulation Law article 5 paragraph 1 embankments that have not been completely flooded with a width of approximately 5 meters outward along the foot of the bank. The aim of the research is to find out the characteristics of residences on the banks of rivers to solve the problems that exist in the construction of residences in lower latitude urban villages, therefore requiring an approach to the physical use value of residences that is suitable for those with low incomes. The object of research taken from this research is residences located on the banks of the river in Kota Lintang Bawah Village, seen from residential mobility by knowing the characteristics of people in the world. According to John FC Turner, community characteristics are classified into three categories, namely bridgeheader, consolidator and status seeker. This research uses mixed methods. By getting in-depth information about the physical and non-physical forms of buildings located on the banks of rivers with low-income communities. Based on the research results, it shows that the characteristics of residences living on the banks of the river in the Village of Kota Lintang Bawah Aceh Tamiang are classified as bridgeheaders and consolidators.

Abstract

The laboratory is a place used for practicum, research, and can support the teaching and learning process. The mechanical engineering laboratory space is the most important space and is often used to support study activities in the mechanical engineering department of the university. However, laboratory conditions that do not use air conditioning and only rely on natural ventilation result in the lack of thermal comfort for users to comfortably support user activities. Apart from that, the high temperatures produced by heat through metal roofs from exposure to sunlight, equipment machines that emit hot temperatures, as well as the small amount of incoming and outgoing air flow are the objectives of selecting objects in this research. Thermal comfort is influenced by several variables, namely external, internal factors and air opening design. This research uses a mix method, namely qualitative and quantitative research methods with a descriptive approach. The results of this research are in the form of an analysis which shows that the thermal conditions of the four laboratory rooms do not meet the thermal comfort standards set by ASHRAE with conditions being above the comfort zone and the PMV comfort index cannot be said to be comfortable because there is no wind blowing into the building.

Abstract

The people's market which is the center of economic activity has the potential to drive the economy based on the people's economy, therefore it is necessary to make physical improvements to the people's market which was previously carried out a market analysis to maintain it. The government planned a market revitalization program, but many failed. Krueng Geukueh People's Market is one of the markets that has been built by the government but not according to existing standards. The purpose of this study was to determine the facilities and infrastructure 27 aspects of the criteria for SNI requirements for people's markets. The condition of this market infrastructure is not in accordance with the provisions of the people's market SNI, because some indicators of existing market facilities and infrastructure have not functioned as intended. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. In collecting data used field observation, survey documentation. The results showed that the aspects of the people's market requirements studied were not effective for use by traders

Abstract

Natural lighting (Daylighting) is the use of natural light as the main source of sunlight for lighting. In an educational environment, the classroom is the space that is most frequently used compared to other spaces. Therefore, adequate lighting is needed to support teaching and learning activities inside. Based on observations at SMA N-1 Tanjung Pura, classrooms tend to have low lighting levels, which are influenced by factors such as vegetation, surrounding buildings and limited land. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of natural lighting, especially the natural lighting factor (daylight factor), in the classrooms of SMA N-1 Tanjung Pura in accordance with the SNI standard SNI 03-6197-2020, which sets a lighting level of 350 Lux. The research method uses computer simulation with Dialux Evo 11.1 software. The research results show that some classrooms do not meet the standards because they have lighting levels that are lower or higher than those specified in the standards.

Abstract

The improvement of user experience (UX) is essential in website development, particularly in the current digital era. Ventela website, an e-commerce platform offering a variety of fashion products, needs enhancements in its UX to meet the increasing needs and expectations of users. In this context, this research aims to redesign the Ventela website with a focus on the Lean UX method to achieve a better user experience. Lean UX is a design approach that emphasizes collaboration among the development team, designers, and users during the design process, while focusing on rapid iterations to ensure the resulting product aligns with user needs. In this research, we identified UX issues on the Ventela website through user analysis, heuristic evaluation, and gathering user feedback. Subsequently, we employed the Lean UX method to redesign the website with a focus on necessary improvements. The results of this research demonstrate a significant transformation of the Ventela website in terms of appearance, functionality, and user experience. The iterative process involving users in every design stage has enabled substantial improvements in navigation, product search, responsiveness, and overall user satisfaction. Consequently, product sales conversion on the Ventela website has significantly increased, proving that the Lean UX approach is an effective way to enhance UX and achieve success in e-commerce.This research indicates that the Lean UX method can serve as a strong foundation in the process of redesigning a website to improve user experience. By emphasizing team collaboration and user involvement, UX enhancements can be effectively achieved, creating opportunities for business growth in a competitive digital environment.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, each university now has a website that represents them. At Surabaya State University, they had the UNESA Sinau Digital website. The study aims to evaluate the quality of the Unesa Digital Sinau website through user evaluation. The main problem faced by this website is its less user-friendly appearance and navigation. Therefore, the study uses a method of collecting quantitative data by collecting online questionnaire data from students of Surabaya State University, and the Evaluation of Usability Principles revealed a number of problems, including less intuitive navigation and impeccable layout. It also refers to the human aspect, which refers to psychological, physiological, and behavioral theories of human-computer interaction. Through a redesign based on usability principles laid down by Nielson and Molich, there is a significant improvement in the user experience, learning efficiency, and user satisfaction. Improvements include improved layouts, attractive visual designs, and the addition of features that facilitate access and interaction. The application of usability principles on UNESA's Digital Sinau website has a positive impact on student academic development, user retention, and university image. By continuing to prioritize usability, UNESA Digital Sinau can continue to support the development of education in the growing digital age.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan tentang penerapan kalkulus diferensial (turunan) dalam membuat model matematika dan menganalisis laba maksimum. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kaulitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan. Penulis menyimpulkan bahwa matematika merupakan alat analisis yang digunakan untuk pemecahan masalah dalam berbagai bidang keilmuan termasuk bidang ekonomi dan binsis. Permasalahan ekonomi yang kompleks dapat disederhanakan dengan menggunakan model matematika. Teori ekonomi yang yang dinyatakan dalam bentuk kualitatif diinterpretasikan ke dalam bentuk matematika dengan pendekatan tertentu, sehingga permasalahan ekonomi tersebut menjadi bentuk kuantitatif yang dapat diselesaikan dengan pendekatan matematika. Salah satu pemecahan masalah yang dapat dihampiri dengan kalkulus diferensial adalah analisis laba maksimum yanga dapat dicapai dengan dua syarat yaitu (1) turunan pertama dari fungsi laba sama dengan nol atau MR = MC; dan (2) turunan kedua dari fungsi laba harus lebih kecil dari nol atau dMR < dMC

Abstract

This research aims to help reduce defects and improve the production process for the better. The method used in the Quality Control Analysis of Donut production is the Statistical Quality Control (SQC) method to ensure the level of product quality statistically, and by using a quantitative approach in the form of descriptive by collecting data through observation and interview techniques. Since the results of the data found did not exceed the threshold on the P control map with a centre line of 0.036, the results showed that the honey donut products were still within the statistical control limits. A number of variables, such as the influence of people, machines, and methods, have an impact on the cause of product failure. The recommended corrective action is to organise regular meetings to discuss improving the quality of honey donut products, which will be the main reason in determining the most important thing to improve the quality of production.

Abstract

Lighting is an important aspect of buildings, especially in office buildings. A office building as a work area requires adequate comfort and fulfils lighting standards so that users can perform their activities smoothly and have good productivity. According to the observations of the Balai Kota Teb ing Tinggi building, there are no other high-rise buildings around the building and the window opens on either side of the building using windows with clear glass but without shading devices resulting in the illumination or distribution of natural lighting leading to the room looks very good. This study aims to analyze the level of natural lighting in the office workspace of Balai Kota Tebing Tinggi whether it has met the lighting standard SNI 6197-2020 or not because the building is a government service center that has already met the requirements of lighting according to the standards that have been in force. The study was conducted using a quantitative method with a simulation approach using the Dialux evo 11.1 software. The results of the study showed that there were some workspaces that did not meet the standard due to the influence of several factors such as the conditions of the sky and the time at the time of the simulation.
