Abstract

This article looked at how schools handle both unionized and non-unionized teachers. Understanding the administration of human resources, which heavily relies on the feelings, actions, and attitudes of principals as managers, was done through the lens of the theory of emotional intelligence. This article's research design was an interpretive case study that was qualitatively analyzed. The interpretivism paradigm is appropriate for the research design used in this work. According to the interpretivist paradigm, social reality is produced by individuals' irrational perceptions of their surroundings. Since focus is placed on hearing the participants' voices, a qualitative method is defined by its capacity to convey the opinions and viewpoints of participants. The qualitative methods of focus groups, observations, and interviews were employed to create this paper. Aside from their primary objective of ensuring that teaching and learning occur effectively at school, one of the key responsibilities of principals is the management of the two categories of teachers who work there: unionized and non-unionized. It is generally known that finding and putting into practice the ideal management techniques for these teachers is a monumental effort for principals. An assessment of current management techniques demonstrates the need for new management techniques to address the issues that administrators are having with managing these teachers. There are several ways to put these new tactics into practice. Among these techniques is building trust between principals and teachers through effective communication and involvement in decision-making.

The population in this study was all grade VII SMPN 38 Medan City students totaling 17 students. While the research data analysis techniques used are product moment correlation techniques and hypothesis testing techniques used through t tests. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an influence of learning facilities on student achievement in social studies subjects in class VIII SMPN 38 Medan City. The resulting correlation magnitude is 0.51. The value is located between 0.40 - 0.599 or medium category. Meanwhile, based on hypothesis testing, it is obtained that the value of t count at the real level of 0.05 is outside the limit of the interval t table (t count > t table = 2.82 > 1.74 or –t calculate < - t table = -2.82 < -1.74). Thus, the hypothesis put forward at the beginning is that there is an influence of learning facilities on student achievement in social studies subjects in grade VII SMPN 38 Medan City is acceptable and has been proven to be true.

Abstract

Educational Service Quality [ESQ] is one of the most important parameters to measure the quality of higher education. Institutions that provide better services attract more students as compared to low service providers. In the existing literature, however, among the elements of educational service quality, administrative or nonacademic service quality is not well studied in academic settings as compared with academic service quality, which could indirectly influence how teaching and learning unfolds. This study aimed to examine stakeholders’ perception towards administrative service quality in the Ethiopian higher education system. To serve this purpose, a mixed research methods with convergent parallel design was implemented. The study participants were selected via purposive and random sampling techniques. Questionnaires, focus group discussions and interviews were the main tools for gathering data. A self-developed questionnaire consisting 17 items, was distributed to four hundred [400] randomly selected Graduating Class [GC] undergraduate students. Furthermore, semi-structured interviews were conducted with key informants and focus group discussions were purposefully selected students. The findings of the study revealed that the majority of the elements that constituted the key attributes of administrative service quality were perceived by stakeholders to be poor. This is reflected in low mean scores in many variables or items associated with the facets of administrative service quality. The findings of this study further uncovered that poor delivery of administrative services affect students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

The study attempts to explore the Ghadar Movement, a pivotal revolutionary organisation in the early 20th century that played a significant role in India's struggle for independence. It aims to understand the socio-political origins of the Movement, to analyse its key figures and strategies, to assess its impact on Indian nationalism, and to evaluate its global impact and enduring legacy. The study employs a historical and analytical methodology, using primary and secondary sources to gather data, which is then interpreted and contextualised. In-depth examination of archival documents revealed the influences of colonial oppression, global events, and the sentiments of the Indian diaspora in igniting the Ghadar Movement. The study identifies key figures, their motivations and the strategies they employed, such as direct revolts and protests, as well as indirect approaches like propaganda and international networking. The research finds that the Ghadar Movement significantly influenced the rise of Indian nationalism and other revolutionary movements, shaping the course of India's freedom struggle. It also managed to garner notable international support, leaving a lasting impact beyond India's borders. It finds that the movement though unsuccessful in its immediate goals, left an indelible legacy in post-independence India, influencing its socio-political fabric and contributing to the narrative of India's struggle for independence.
