Abstract

This research discusses the meaning and legal consequences of an illegitimate child whom his biological father recognizes with a letter of decision from the District Court but who receives an inheritance share that he should not receive following vide. 285 of the Civil Code written in the Inheritance deed and the Deed of Division and Separation of Inheritance Assets made by a Notary. The heirs only consist of 2 (two) people, namely the husband and an illegitimate child. There is no marriage agreement between husband and wife and a will. The research method used is normative juridical, using primary legal materials in the form of statutory regulations, including the Civil Code, Marriage Law No. 1 of 1974, KHI, and Customary Law. Secondary legal material was obtained from several articles that had been written by previous researchers with other problems related to illegitimate children. The results obtained are that the illegitimate child only gets ¼ share of all the assets left behind by his biological mother. The remainder is controlled by the stepfather or second husband of the illegitimate child's biological mother, who should have received 1/3 of the share if he were a legitimate child or included in the group. Abstract

Ivan Illich’s "Deschooling Society" presents a radical critique of traditional education systems, advocating for their dismantling and the adoption of a decentralized, learner-centric model. Illich's arguments against the institutionalization of education, the hidden curriculum, and the monopoly of formal schooling remain relevant in today's educational discourse. The advent of digital technology personalized learning, and alternative education models such as homeschooling and unschooling, echo Illich’s vision by promoting self-directed, lifelong learning. Critical pedagogy and community-based learning networks further align with his call for more participatory and egalitarian education. However, challenges such as ensuring equity, scalability, and socialization persist, requiring thoughtful implementation of Illich’s ideas. As modern education grapples with issues of accessibility and relevance, Illich’s work inspires ongoing critical examination and innovation. His vision challenges us to create educational environments that empower individuals, foster creativity, and address social inequalities, thus contributing to a more just and liberated society.

Abstract

The number of freelancers and start-up companies in Indonesia has increased from year to year, which has led to the emergence of new work styles (new work orders), where this work style has characteristics that are more free, flexible and independent, even the problems that arise are different from the work model in general. This needs to be supported by the availability of a place to work, one of the alternative places to work that is currently developing is coworking space. Even though the development of coworking spaces continues to increase, community participation in coworking spaces in the city of Medan is not yet optimal, and people even tend to equate cafés and coffee shops as coworking spaces. Research was carried out on CoHive at Clapham, Cohub Indonesia, Cradle Event & Coworking Space, SAGA Creative Hub, and Digital Innovation Lounge Medan. The analytical method used in the research is a Likert scale to measuring the opinions and perceptions of a person or group and Multiple Linear Regression to look at the factors that influence person or group using co working space. The reseach results show that Physical environmental factors that influence the productivity of human resources working in Co Working Space are lighting, noise and cleanliness. Abstract

The issue discussed is whether there is still a discrepancy or divergence between problematic financing (NPF) and profitability (ROA) from the general trend. On the other hand, Non-Performing Financing (NPF) and Return on Assets (ROA) interact in ways that significantly affect the financial performance of banks. This indicates the complexity of this relationship, suggesting a simultaneous relationship between NPF and ROA. The aim of this research is to understand the simultaneous relationship between profitability and problematic financing of Islamic banks in Indonesia. This study uses the Two Stage Least Square (TSLS) method, with financial ratio data from Islamic banks in Indonesia from 2010 to 2023, using quarterly data. Based on the simultaneous test results, there is a simultaneous relationship between the profitability model (ROA) and problematic financing (NPF). In the profitability equation model (ROA), BOPO affects the profitability of Islamic banks, while problematic financing and CAR do not have an effect. However, in the problematic financing equation model (NPF), profitability and CAR affect problematic financing in Islamic banks in Indonesia, whereas FDR does not affect operational cost reduction targets. Moreover, policies that emphasize increasing profitability through product diversification and capital enhancement (CAR) will help reduce the risk of problematic financing through issuing new shares or reinvesting profits, while product diversification can help increase revenue and reduce the risk of uncollectible financing.
