Abstract

Most post sectio caesarean mothers experience pain in the incision wound under the abdomen. One of the therapies that can be done to reduce pain in post cesarean section mothers is the finger grasp relaxation technique. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the implementation of finger grasping to reduce pain in post sectio caesarea mothers at Prof. Dr. W. Z. Hospital Kupang. Johannes Kupang Hospital. This study used a qualitative approach with a type of case study research with a descriptive case study research design. The subjects of this study were two patients of post sectio caesarea mothers who were determined based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The pain measurement instrument used was a pain observation sheet (faces pain score / Wong baker faces scale). The results of the study obtained, before the implementation of finger grasping, Mrs. D's pain scale was severe pain (Value 7), and Mrs. M's pain scale was severe pain (Value 8). After implementing finger grasping for 3 consecutive days with a duration of 10-15 minutes every day, the results showed a decrease in the pain scale, in Mrs. D to a mild pain scale (Value 1), and the opposite in Mrs. M to a mild pain scale (Value 2). The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of finger grasping can reduce pain in post sectio caesarea maternal patients. It is hoped that patients and families can apply finger grasping relaxation techniques to reduce pain in post sectio caesarea maternal patients.

The anxiety instrument used was the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS) questionnaire. The results obtained, before the warm water foot soak therapy, Mrs. M's anxiety level was very severe anxiety (Score 30), and Mrs. A's anxiety level was severe anxiety (Score 19). After performing warm water foot bath therapy for 3 consecutive days with a duration of 10-20 minutes every day, the results showed a decrease in anxiety levels, in Mrs. M to a severe anxiety level (Value 19), and in Mrs. A to a moderate anxiety level (Value 14). Abstract

Several unique things differentiate radiographic examinations in pediatrics from adult patients, including patient fixation, the level of patient cooperation, and the need for patient companions. Currently, no literature provides an overview of the patient's age with these three aspects of radiographic examination. This study aims to provide an overview of the relationship between age groups and the implementation of radiographic examinations, which greatly influence the success of the examination. This research is a type of descriptive observational research. Data obtained from three hospitals was collected for one month. The sample for this study was 144 pediatric radiographic examinations. The study results are described in frequency distributions related to patient fixation, level of patient cooperation, and the need for patient companions. The study results showed that patients began to cooperate, and the use of fixation decreased in the age group of three years and above. Patients begin not needing a companion at six years and above. The radiographer must evaluate these three things to prepare the examination with an appropriate approach with the goal of a successful exam without repetition so that the radiation dose is minimal for both the patient and the patient's family. This research can be used as a guide for radiographers in preparing for examinations and initial communication during pediatric radiography examinations.

Abstract

Patients with myofascial pain syndrome of the upper trapezius muscle are a population that is widely found by various groups, one of which is in stone crusher workers. Myofascial pain syndrome of the upper trapezius muscle is an implication of the presence of trigger points in the taut band caused by adhesion to the myofascial structure. This study is an experimental study using pre and post test control group design which aims to compare the better intervention between the provision of myofascial release technique and ischemic compression technique on improving functional ability in cases of myofascial pain syndrome of the upper trapezius muscle. The sample in this study amounted to 22 people and was divided into two application groups with each group totaling 11 people. The results of the related t-test showed that both applications could reduce significant disability (p < 0.05), and the results of the independent t-test showed that each group could reduce disability in cases of myofascial pain syndrome of the upper trapezius muscle but did not show a significant difference, p value = 0.41 (p> 0.05). Conclusion: the application of myofascial release technique is as good as ischemic compression technique and can be used as a physiotherapy technique in reducing disability in myofascial pain syndrome of the upper trapezius muscle.
