Abstract

Introduction: Picky eater is a picky eating behavior in children. Picky eaters are a common problem with children's eating patterns. The factors that cause picky eaters are a history of complementary foods and parental eating behavior. A good child's diet will affect the nutritional status of children to be good. Objective: To determine the relationship between the history of complementary feeding and the eating behavior of parents with the nutritional status of picky eater children. Methods: This research design uses correlation with a cross-sectional approach. A sample of 52 respondents was taken using purposive sampling. Data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed using Chi-square. Result: Statistical test using Chi-Square test with a significance level of a = 0.05 or 95%. The results of the research found that the value of p = 0.012 < a = 0.05 and p = 0.043 < a = 0.05. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the history of complementary feeding and parents’ eating behavior with the nutritional status of picky eater children.

Abstract

Introduction: Knowledge greatly impacts one's mental status and of course enriches one's life. Knowledge has distinctive characteristics such as ontology (about what), epistemology (how) and for what (axiology). Knowledge greatly influences a person's behavior. It is expected that everyone who has good knowledge will also have good behavior. Anxiety is a negative emotion that can be felt by humans, the emergence of tense feelings and thoughts, usually accompanied by symptoms of fast heartbeat, sweating, and shortness of breath. Purpose: To find out the relationship between the level of knowledge and the level of public anxiety in Kampung Grogol Depok RT 01 RW 06 about the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021. Method: The method used is a cross-sectional analytic approach with a nonprobability sampling technique to be more precise, namely purposive sampling. The sample obtained was 154 respondents. Retrieval of data using a questionnaire instrument, the data was tested using Spearman correlation analysis. Results: Based on the Spearman Rank correlation test, the p-value was obtained: 0.001 <0.05. Conclusion: From the results of the research conducted, there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and the level of community anxiety in Kampung Grogol Depok, RT 01 RW 06, regarding the Covid-19 pandemic with a sufficient level of closeness, namely 0.270. then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

Introduction: Acute respiratory infections in toddlers are caused by factors such as the condition of the home environment and toddler factors (nutritional status, exclusive breastfeeding, completeness of immunization, baby's age and low birth weight). Conditions in the home environment that can affect the air quality in the house can trigger the occurrence of Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI), including environmental tobacco smoke or affect cigarette smoke in the house. Objective: To determine the relationship between environmental conditions, parents' smoking habits and hand-washing behavior with the incidence of ARI in children at Matraman Hospital Methods: The research design is analytic with a cross-sectional approach. In this study, the population was 58 children who experienced acute respiratory infections at the Matraman Hospital. The sampling technique used Accidental sampling. the research instrument used a questionnaire/questionnaire and was analyzed using the Chi-Square Test. Results: Based on the results of the Chi-Square test, it was found that there was a relationship between environmental conditions and the incidence of ARI in children with a P-value = 0.017 and an OR value of 4.615. The relationship between parents' smoking habits at home and the incidence of ARI in children has a P-value = 0.001 and an OR value of 8.640. The relationship between handwashing behavior at home and the incidence of ARI in children has a P-value = 0.003 and OR 6.750. Conclusion: The description of the results of the study was that in most of the incidents of mild ARI, environmental conditions were good, parents' smoking habits at home were good and hand-washing behavior at home was good. There is a relationship between environmental conditions, parents' smoking habits at home and hand-washing behavior at home with the incidence of ARI in children at Matraman Hospital. The most influential factor in the incidence of ARI in children at Matraman Hospital is parents' smoking habits at home

Abstract

Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia that occurs due to insulin secretion, or both. The disorder causes abnormalities in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Purpose: To describe nursing care for skin/tissue integrity disorders in Mr. S with type II diabetes mellitus in the Ar Rahman room RSI Purwokerto. Method: Descriptive research design in the form of a case study with a nursing process approach consisting of assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Nursing care was carried out to Mr. S for 3x24 hours. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, physical examination, and documentation. Results: The nursing evaluation which was carried out on June 16-18 2022 was carried out using the SOAP method, including subjectively the patient stating that his body was still weak, the wound had not healed and the pain had decreased. Objective, K/u: weak, GDS: 320mg/dl, a wound with a length of 3 cm and a width of 2 cm is visible, on the dressing there is seepage of liquid reddish yellow smelling and festering, the patient can tilt right and left, the total score of the BJWAT assessment increases from 28 to 29. Analysis, the problem not resolved, continue the intervention. Conclusion: Evaluation on the third day of tissue damage, skin damage, pain and redness has not been resolved.

Abstract

Background: A child is someone who is less than 18 years old in a period of growth and development, with special needs, namely physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs. Children are more susceptible to infections that often cause a high fever. Fever is not a disease but a symptom. Fever often occurs at the age of five, when the increase in body temperature reaches the highest number scale, it will cause seizures in children which are called febrile seizures. One of the nursing problems in patients with febrile seizures that need special treatment is hyperthermia. Management of hyperthermia in febrile seizures can be done non-pharmacologically, namely by giving warm compresses. Purpose: To reduce body temperature in An. S with a diagnosis of febrile seizures in the Ar Rahman Room, RSI Purwokerto. Method: Descriptive research design in the form of a case study with a nursing process approach consisting of assessment, formulating diagnoses, interventions, implementation and evaluation. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, physical examination and documentation. This case study was conducted on An. S for 3x24 hours. Result: Nursing care is carried out to An. S is 9 months old and has hyperthermia problems carried out in 3x24 hours, the procedures used for the assessment are observation, interviews, physical examination and documentation. Evaluation on the third day of red skin, seizures, and body temperature has resolved. Conclusion: Warm compresses have been shown to be effective in overcoming the problem of hyperthermia in patients with febrile seizures

Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension is abnormally high blood pressure. In general, a person who is said to have hypertension if his blood pressure is 140/90 mmHg.   Some of the signs and symptoms that often appear in people with hypertension, namely headaches when awake, blurred vision due to hypertensive damage to the retina, and the way of walking begins to be disturbed due to the beginning of damage to the nervous system. However, the typical signs and symptoms found in hypertensive patients are headaches. Objectives: To describe nursing care in hypertensive patients with acute pain. Method: This research uses qualitative descriptive methods in the form of case studies. Nursing care was provided to Mrs.S during 3 home visits. Data collection techniques were obtained from the results of interviews, observations, and physical examinations. Result: The results of the study found that Mrs. S patient was 57 years old, had an elementary school education, and worked as a housewife. Mrs. S was diagnosed with hypertension with a blood pressure value of 160/100 mmHg. During the assessment, Mrs.S complained of pain in her head 3 days ago. Mrs. S got the drugs amlodipine and antalgin. Based on the data obtained, the patient experiences acute pain. Researchers provided interventions in non-pharmacological administration of warm compress for three days, as well as teaching and explaining to families related to warm compress. Conclusion: The action of a warm compress for 3 days shows a decrease in pain complaints and the patient's pain level, so it can be concluded that the administration of a warm compress is effective for treating pain in patients.

Abstract

Introduction: Urinary tract infection (UTI) or Urinarius Tractus Infection is a condition where there is a bacterial infection of microorganisms that occurs in the urinary tract.  The occurrence of UTI is due to the presence of pathogenic microorganisms in the urinary tract. These microorganisms enter through direct contact from the nearest place of infection, hematogenous, or lymphogenous.  Symptoms of UTI are the desire to urinate that continues to be felt, pain or sensation of heat when urinating (this set of conditions is called anyang-anyang), turbid and sharp-smelling urine, frequent urination, bloody or purulent urine, in women generally the patient will feel pelvic pain, especially in the pelvic center and the bone area around the genitals. Objectives: To describe nursing care in urinary tract infection patients who have impaired urinary elimination. Method: This research uses qualitative descriptive methods in the form of case studies. Nursing care was given to Mrs. K for 3 days. Data collection techniques obtained from the results of interviews, observations, and physical examinations. Result: The problem of urinary elimination disorders that occur in urinary tract infection patients can be overcome by conducting deep breath relaxation therapy to reduce the pain experienced by the patient training the patient not to hold urination, and advising the patient to increase the frequency of drinking.  The results obtained after the nursing action show the patient's pain gradually decreases, and the frequency of urination is smooth even though it still feels pain when urinating. Conclusion: After nursing treatment for 3x24 hours, the problem of urinary elimination disorders gradually improved characterized by an improved elimination pattern of decreased patient pain complaints.

Abstract

Introduction: Bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder in the respiratory tract that attacks the trachea and bronchi which are commonly found among the public. Factors that can trigger bronchial asthma attacks include allergy, gender, genetic or hereditary factors, respiratory tract infections, excessive exercise, cigarette smoke irritants, weather changes, and environmental factors.  Narrowing of the airway can cause wheezing, coughing, or shortness of breath. Recurrence of asthma can cause the sufferer to have difficulty breathing so that the incoming air is reduced. Objectives: The purpose of this case study is to describe the nursing care ineffectiveness of breath patterns in Mr. A with bronchial asthma. Method: Researchers use the case study method with the stages of the nursing process including assessment, formulation of nursing diagnoses, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation. Nursing care is given for 3 days using nebulizer therapy. Data collection is carried out by interview, observation, and documentation methods. Result: The results were obtained by patients complaining of shortness of breath for 4 days and having a history of asthma. Physical examination obtained blood pressure 160/80 mmHg, temperature 36.3°C, pulse 89 x/min, SpO2 88%, RR 30 x/min, shallow breathing and additional breathing sounds (wheezing). Conclusion: The author performs airway nursing care for 3x24 hours with breathing monitors, teaches deep breath techniques, positions patients semi-fowler or as comfortably as possible, monitors oxygen status, monitors vital signs, and the administration of collaborative therapy administering bronchodilator nebulizers.  The patient's problem is solved by the intervention.

Abstract

Introduction: The Covid-19 emergency has been declared the sixth public health emergency by the World Health Organization (WHO). Until now there is still no drug that is considered capable of effectively treating this virus. One of the efforts that are considered to be able to help reduce transmission is the provision of the Covid-19 vaccine. However, the vaccination solution has, of course, recreated a polemic against some people. One of them is the doubts that arise because the development of vaccines is carried out within a very fast period. This raises concern or anxiety from some people about the side effects or impacts of the vaccine. For this reason, promotive and preventive efforts from the government are needed, one of which is through health workers by providing education so that the public gets correct information and does not cause fear and anxiety about the Covid-19 vaccination program. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine differences in the level of public anxiety before and after administration education about the Covid-19 vaccine. Method: This study used the pre-experimental design method while the research design used was the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were the people of RT 03 Lulut Village, Klapanunggal District, who had not been vaccinated against Covid-19, namely 97 people. The sample in this study was 15 people with several inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data collection in this study was by giving questionnaires to the public using a standard anxiety level questionnaire consisting of 14 questions. Analysis using the paired t-test method. Result: The results show the level of public anxiety before and after providing education about the Covid-19 vaccine at RT 03 Lulut Village, Klapanunggal District with ρ–value = 0.000. Conclusion: There are differences in the level of public anxiety before and after providing education about the Covid-19 vaccine at RT 03 Lulut Village, Klapanunggal District.

Abstract

Introduction: Regions in West Java have the highest DHF case fatality records, one of which is Bogor Regency. Bina Husada Hospital is one of the hospitals that treat many pediatric DHF patients. Lack of fluids is the most common cause for pediatric DHF patients at Bina Husada Hospital. Objectives: To determine the effect of the Monitoring Book on Fluid Balance in DHF Children. Method: Quantitative research with experimental research methods. The research design used was pre-experimental in the form of a one-shot case study. One-shot case study. The population in this study were patients with inclusion criteria: pediatric DHF patients who had been treated with fever for 4-6 days at Bina Husada Hospital, pediatric DHF patients who were willing to become respondents, and families of child DHF patients. The sample of this study was 20 respondents of DHF children. Collecting data in this study by providing observation sheets for monitoring book services, while the analysis used the paired t-test method. Result: The results of the study showed that the fluid balance of pediatric DHF patients before and after carrying out monitoring of fluid balance in pediatric DHF patients with the resulting p-value was 0.002. Conclusion: There is an effect of applying the monitoring book on the fluid balance of pediatric DHF patients.
