Abstract

Drug abuse one of the problems that have swept the world and become a frightening problem for the society and Indonesian. Students become one of the targets of drug abuse. Drug abuse occurs during adolescence because adolescents have rapid biological, psychological, and social changes that cause vulnerable individuals to get involved in drug abuse. The cause of drug abuse among adolescents was due to the low attitude of students in addressing the occurrence of drug abuse. The population of this research was the students of SMK in Padang. There were 124 students as the sample of this research. The sampling technique used was a purposive random sampling and the data collection tools used student` attitude instruments used students' attitude instruments in drug abuse with a Likert scale model, with Alpha Cronbach reliability of r=0,991. The data were analyzed by using the descriptive statistical methods with the data processing using SPSS version 22. The results revealed that the students’ attitudes in drug abuse were in the middle category (54.2%). Clearly, the affective component was in the middle category (2.69%); the behavioral component was in the middle category (2.91%); the cognitive component was in the low category (2.47%).

Abstract

One of the tasks of development in adolescents is social adjustment to the environment which is the school environment. Frequently, adolescents have problems in making social adjustments because this is one of the difficult tasks of adolescent development. If this condition is left, the teen will experience problems. Based on the existing phenomena, there are still students who have not been able to make social adjustments to the school environment so that such things can make students do deviant behavior like brawls. Fighting itself is a fight between groups. The population in this research was the student of SMK Negeri Padang which 140 students were chosen as the sample of the research. The sampling technique used was a purposive random sampling, and the data collection tools used the Social Adjustment Scale (SPS). The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistical methods with data processing using SPSS version 22. The results revealed that social adjustments in brawl prevention were classified as low (50.7%). Then, in the average, there was 38.6%, and in the high category, there was 10.7 %. Based on the results obtained, a follow-up can be carried out by making a guide to improve students' social adjustment to the school environment in preventing brawl.

Abstract

The life of the Indonesian people is a very complex life with various social problems that hit several communities. The existence of various social problems faced by the community makes them live an abnormal or inappropriate life such as the low economy in meeting the needs of life. Social problems are some conditions that arise from a society that cannot function properly, resulting in disappointment and suffering. In this case, those who often experience social problems are usually women, one of the people with social welfare problems, namely Commercial Sex Workers. Someone who works and acts in the field of prostitution is better known as a commercial sex worker. The practice of prostitution by sex workers causes several psychological impacts that refer to negative self-concepts, such as feeling of having low self-esteem in the eyes of the community, being inferior in front of many people, limiting themselves in community interactions, feeling depressed, relationship gaps with other family members. Based on the results of the study, there were 8 PSKs whose self-concept level was in the medium category with a percentage of 38.1%, then 10 PSKs whose self-concept level was in the low category, namely 47.6%. 2 PSKs whose self-concept level was in the very low category, namely 9.5%. So it can be concluded that the average self-concept of CSWs before being given treatment was in the medium and low categories. The research method used by the researcher is the experimental research method. The type of experimental research used by the researcher is a quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental). Quasi-experimental is a quasi-experiment that aims to predict the conditions that can be achieved through actual experiments, but there is no control and manipulation of all relevant variables. Abstract

Learning skills is demands that must be possessed by students to achieve maximum learning outcomes. This study aims to reveal the picture of students' learning skills in junior high school 25 Padang state. This research uses the quantitative approach with descriptive analysis method. The sample consisted of 31 students of class VIII selected at random. The instrument used is a learning skill questionnaire with a reliability of 0.754. The results showed that the students' learning skill was in the high category with an average score of 144 with the achievement level of 76%.

Abstract

The last few years have been the most difficult due to Covid-19, a disease that attacks and is transmitted through the human respiratory tract, sweeping the world. As a result, a number of public facilities were closed including schools so that the distance learning model was applied. The condition of the Covid-19 pandemic has made it possible to decrease student learning motivation which is the key to student learning success. Thus, it is important to study the factors that affect student learning motivation. This study aims to describe student learning motivation in terms of self-concept support, parental support, subject teachers, guidance and counseling teachers and smartphone facility factors. This type of research is descriptive using quantative methods. The population of this study were students of MTsN 2 Pesisir Selatan, totaling 711 students, with a sample of 256 students who were taken using a proportional stratified random sampling technique. The results of the study found that in general the learning motivation of MTsN 2 Pesisir Selatan students during the Covid-19 pandemic was in the moderate category, which means that most students lost their motivation to learn.

Abstract

Couples who undergo a long-distance marriage face more challenges than those who undergo an ordinary marriage so that they will be more prone to conflicts resulting in low quality of marriage relationships, low quality of marital relationships that can lead to divorce. This research method uses a quantitative approach with a comparative descriptive method. The subjects in this study were couples who were undergoing a long-distance marriage in Padang City. The research subjects were taken using a purposive technique so that the number of research subjects was 120 consisting of 60 male partners and 60 female partners. The research instrument for the quality of the marriage relationship used a Likert scale model adapted from the PBSC measuring instrument from Ducat & Zimmer-Gembeck (2010) with reliability of 0.923. The findings of the study show that: (1) On average, the marital quality of couples who are undergoing a long-distance marriage for men is in the medium category and women is in the medium category. (2) There is no significant difference in marital quality in terms of gender (3) There is no significant difference in marital quality in terms of the type of work.

Abstract

Free sex in Indonesia from time to time is very worrying. Teenagers think free sex is a normal and normal thing to do. Adolescent attitudes affect the behavior carried out. This study reveals the contribution of parental support to adolescent attitudes about free sex behavior. This research uses the correlational method and data collected from a sample of 235 students, which were found using proportional random sampling techniques. Data were collected using a parental support scale (32 valid items, = 0.873), and a scale of adolescent attitudes about free sex (22 valid items = 0.885). Data were then analyzed using multiple regression. The results show that parental support contributed 17.9% to adolescent attitudes about free sex behavior. It can be concluded that the higher the parental support, the adolescent’s items, about free sex will be more negative.

Abstract

The less understanding of the discipline learning by the student causes students to violate the rules and regulations that have been set in the school environment. This problem occurs because students are not aware of the meaning of the discipline learning, so it takes effort to improve students' understanding of the discipline learning. The understanding of learning discipline of the student is not seen in terms of attendance at school, taking lessons in class, managing time, school rules and free time. One of the efforts that made in improving student understanding is by the information service of the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning model. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of information services with the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning model to improve students' understanding of the discipline learning. This research used quantitative methods. The type of research was a Quasi Experiment with the design of The One Group Pretest-Posttest (without using a control group). The population of this study were Dian Andalas Padang High School students and the sample was selected using the Purposive Sampling technique. The instrument of the research was using a Likert Scale model (a questionnaire about the understanding of student learning discipline), the data were analyzed with the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with the help of SPSS version 20. The results showed that the average score of pretest 123 and posttest 160. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that the service information with the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning model is effective for increasing understanding of student learning discipline.

Abstract

Aggressive behavior is behavior that aims to hurt and injure others physically and psychologically. The factors that influence the occurrence of aggressive behavior are the influence of the student's environment and violent broadcasts on television and social media (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram and so on). So that efforts are needed to reduce aggressive behavior in students. The aggressive behavior that occurs is physical aggressive behavior, verbal aggressive behavior, excessive angry excessive hostile behavior and behavior. One of the efforts made to reduce students' aggressive behavior at school is to carry out group counseling services with self-management techniques, where the sample in this study was 15 people divided into an experimental group of 8 students and 7 students in the control group. using a non-test instrument, namely a questionnaire. this study aims to test the effectiveness of group counseling services using self-management techniques to reduce aggressive behavior. The findings of this study are: (1) there is a significant difference in the aggressive behavior of the experimental group before and after following self-management techniques (2) there is a significant difference in the aggressive behavior of the control group before and after being given group counseling services about aggressive behavior without special treatment, (3) ) There is a difference in the aggressive behavior of the experimental group students who were given group self-management techniques with the control group who were given group counseling services about aggressive behavior without special treatment, this can be seen in the post-test average score of the experimental group falling higher than the average postest score. control group.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the contribution of self-esteem and social support of  parents together on the academic resilience of students in online learning. This research uses a descriptive correlational quantitative method. The research population was 304 students of SMA Negeri Agam Cendekia, with a sample of 173 students, who were selected using the proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instruments used were inventory self-esteem, parents social support scale, and academic resilience scale with a Likert model, that had met the validity and reliability requirements. The research data were analyzed using simple regression techniques and multiple regression. The results of this research indicate that: (1) on average selfesteem, parents social support and student academic resilience in online learning at SMA Negeri Agam Cendekia are in the medium category, (2) self-esteem contributes 43% to academic resilience in online learning . (3) parents social support contributed 56,8% to academic resilience in online learning . (4) self-esteem and parental social support together contribute 65% to academic resilience in online learning . The implications of the research results can be used as a basis in the preparation of guidance and counseling service programs at SMA Negeri Agam Cendekia.
