Abstract

This study examines the application of the anticipation and follow through principles in 3D animation to improve motion clarity and realism. The research focuses on Makania Season 2, episode 11, titled “Next Level,” produced by Piapi Creative Media and broadcast on Astro Ceria and Sooka. The animation was developed using Blender 3.6.11 with a pose to pose workflow, including blocking, in-between, and polish stages, complemented by revisions from supervisors and clients. Motion data were obtained from real-world observation and visual references, and were applied to both human and non-human characters. Findings show that consistent use of these principles enhanced movement naturalness, emotional expression, and narrative delivery, particularly in dynamic scenes such as chases and comedic interactions. This research contributes practical insights for animators and supports the creation of visually engaging 3D animations within the Indonesian creative industry.

Abstract

The phenomenon of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) has become increasingly relevant among adolescents due to the increased use of social media. FoMO refers to a psychological condition characterized by anxiety and fear of missing out on information or experiences that others may have, especially online. This study aims to explore the level of FoMO in high school students and its implications for guidance and counseling services. The approach used was a quantitative method with descriptive analysis. The study sample was obtained through stratified random sampling, with 262 students at SMA Negeri 3 Padang as respondents. Data analysis was conducted descriptively using Microsoft Excel and SPSS. The results revealed that 46.18% of students experienced moderate levels of FoMO. This study contributes novelty by examining FoMO in high school students, an age group vulnerable to the influence of social media. These findings suggest the need for significant guidance and counseling interventions to help reduce FoMO among students. Future research is encouraged to expand this study by examining FoMO in relation to other variables.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of group guidance services in improving students' self-confidence at SMPN 4 Lubuk Alung. This research used a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest pre-experimental design. The research was conducted at SMPN 4 Lubuk Alung in the 2024/2025 academic year. Participants were 11 students (aged 13–14 years; 4 boys, 6 girls) in grades VII and VIIII, selected through purposive sampling technique based on the initial identification of students with low self-confidence levels. The intervention was carried out in 3 group guidance meetings, each lasting 30–40 minutes. The research instrument was a self-confidence questionnaire consisting of 38 items with a Likert scale of 1–5, covering three main dimensions: self-esteem, competence, and belonging. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. All students showed an increase in self-confidence scores after participating in group guidance services. The Wilcoxon test yielded a Z value of -2.934 with p = 0.003 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. It can be concluded that group guidance services have been proven effective in improving the self-confidence of junior high school students. These findings recommend the implementation of structured group services as an intervention strategy to develop self-confidence in adolescents in the school environment.

Abstract

Low life satisfaction can lead to serious mental health problems, including depression and anxiety, which can negatively impact quality of life. This study aims to develop and validate an instrument from Diener that can be used to measure life satisfaction accurately and reliably using the Rasch Model approach. This research method involved 70 participants representing various backgrounds, both men and women. The collected data were analyzed using the Rasch Model to evaluate scale accuracy, validity, reliability, and undimensionality on the life satisfaction scale. The results of this study explain that out of 7 scale item choices, there are three item choices on the life satisfaction scale that are inappropriate, namely scales 3, 4 and 5 which do not have peaks. The validity and reliability results show that 5 items are valid and reliable with the results of the validity value meeting the validity and reliability criteria resulting in a Cronbach's alpha value obtained of 0.83 which means it is in the good category. Furthermore, the findings of the dimensional test tested with standardized residuals are known to have a value of 65.1%. Assuming these criteria are met, the life satisfaction instrument meets the 20% threshold for the unidimensionality test.

Prosocial behavior is selfless helping behavior that reflects moral maturity, so it is important for students to possess, especially prospective guidance counselors or counselors. Guidance counseling students are required to have a high level of prosocial attitude because their future profession focuses on mentoring, assisting, and developing individual potential. This study aims to describe the development of prosocial behavior among guidance counseling students at Padang State University. The method used was descriptive comparative with a sample of 450 students from the first to fourth years. Data analysis was performed through descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and Post Hoc tests using computer services. The results showed that the prosocial behavior of Guidance and Counseling students at Padang State University was in the high category. However, the development from year to year did not show a progressive pattern. Therefore, the Guidance and Counseling Department needs to devise strategic steps so that students' prosocial behavior can develop sustainably from the early semesters of their studies. The benefits of this study are to contribute to the development of social psychology by examining the development of prosocial behavior among Guidance and Counseling students, as well as to serve as a reference for further research in understanding the factors that influence prosocial behavior.

Abstract

Academic stress is commonly experienced by university students and is increasingly influenced by the dynamics of campus digitalization. This study aims to analyze the effect of academic social comparison and digital self-regulation on academic stress. The method used is a correlational quantitative approach with multiple regression on 256 university students selected through cluster random sampling. The instruments used are three five-point Likert scales. Data were collected online and analyzed through classical assumption tests and multiple regression. The results showed that the regression model was not significant (R² = 0.000; p = 0.975), with academic social comparison (p = 0.912) and digital self-regulation (p = 0.847) having no effect on academic stress. These findings differ from previous studies and suggest that other factors may be more dominant. The implications of this study emphasize the need for a multidimensional approach in understanding student stress and the development of more comprehensive and contextual counseling services.
