Abstract

Pontianak City is geographically located on the equator. Based on its location, the atmospheric dynamics in this region fluctuate greatly, the equatorial region throughout the year is exposed to solar radiation so that the potential for convective clouds is very high. This research aims to estimate rainfall based on the characteristics of convective and stratiform rain during extreme weather that causes flooding in Pontianak City. The data used is HIMAWARI 8 satellite image data with a duration of December 22-23, 2023. The method used is Convective Stratiform Technique (CST). The results showed that the atmospheric dynamics on December 22 and 23, 2023 were very high, this was characterized by the formation of high clouds with very low cloud top temperatures below -70°C around Pontianak City. Then the estimation of rainfall based on the CST model can be done during heavy rains that cause flooding in Pontianak City. The model rainfall value overestimates the observation data, on December 22 the difference is very large, while on December 23 the model rainfall is able to approach the obeservation rainfall with a very small difference of 1.2 mm.

Abstract

Optimal product availability is the key to success in meeting market demand and maintaining customer satisfaction. This research aims to analyze and develop effective supply chain management strategies to increase product availability in an organization. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research results show that implementing supply chain management strategies, such as building strong partnerships with suppliers, implementing information technology and automation, and careful risk management, has a positive impact on product availability and on-time delivery. Companies that successfully adopt this combination of strategies are able to increase supply chain operational efficiency, reduce the risk of delays, and respond more adaptively to market changes. By focusing on effective inventory management and data analysis for demand prediction, the company was also able to increase precision in product planning and deployment, providing a strong foundation for increased responsiveness to changing market conditions.

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility is a form of company contribution and responsibility towards the surrounding environment and aims at sustainable development by managing all its stakeholders. This research aims to determine and analyze the legal aspects of companies in providing Corporate Social Responsibility to the surrounding environment. Meanwhile, the research method used is qualitative, where the qualitative method aims to obtain a complete picture of a matter according to the views of the people being studied, and the results of this research explain that business operations are committed not only to increasing the company's financial profits, but also to socio-economic development. the region in a holistic, institutional and sustainable manner. With the provisions on the obligation to carry out CSR for companies in Indonesia, companies are not only expected to have Single Bottom Line responsibilities, namely responsibility for the company's financial condition only, but companies are also faced with Triple Bottom Line responsibilities. Therefore, companies that want to achieve corporate sustainability in creating CSR programs must not only pay attention to economic and social aspects, but also pay attention to environmental aspects so that the company's existence will be maintained and at the same time environmental sustainability. This means that CSR programs need to be aligned with the principles of sustainable development as mandated by the green constitution of the 1945 Constitution.

Abstract

Parental involvement is essential in supporting their children's education at the primary school level. Effective collaboration between parents and schools is essential to improve students' motivation, academic achievement, and behavior. In the digital era, communication between parents and teachers has evolved significantly. However, there are still challenges in maintaining effective and regular communication between both parties. This research uses the Spiral development method to address the complexity and dynamics of developing a parent communication and information system in primary schools. The Spiral method was chosen for its flexibility in accommodating unforeseen changes in software development projects. The planning phase involves identifying project objectives, determining the scope of the application, allocating required resources, and planning the development schedule and budget. Risk analysis identifies potential risks such as schedule delays, changing user requirements, and resource limitations. Strategies to address these risks are devised. In the engineering phase, application design, programming, and core testing ensure an intuitive user interface, module implementation, and extensive testing using dummy data. The evaluation phase involved testing the app with 20 teachers and 80 parents, which showed improved communication and user satisfaction. The implementation phase marks the app's official launch, which allows for continuous improvement based on user feedback and evolving communication needs. This research contributes to developing an app that facilitates communication and access to information for all parties involved in primary school education. The app increases parental involvement, addresses communication issues between teachers and students, and facilitates better collaboration. As a result, this research has the potential to positively contribute to improving education and student development in primary schools.

Abstract

Efficient financial management in education foundations is crucial in maintaining the quality of education provided. Lack of transparency in fund management, lack of efficiency in resource allocation, and problems in complying with financial regulations can negatively affect the sustainability of education foundation operations. This research uses the Rapid Application Development Method (RAD) to develop a Financial Management Information System. The research stages included Requirement Definition, Planning, Analysis, Prototyping, Development, Testing, User Evaluation, and Implementation. A total of 30 users, including financial officers from educational foundations, have tested the financial information system. Testing includes testing data accuracy, functionality, integration, performance, security, and user testing. The results of this research include developing a financial information system that successfully meets the foundation's needs. Test users reported a high level of satisfaction with the system, where 87% of users were satisfied, 8% were moderately satisfied, and 5% had some issues that needed to be fixed. This research makes a significant contribution to improving financial management in educational foundations. The developed Financial Management Information System can improve transparency, efficiency, financial monitoring, regulatory compliance, and the quality of education provided by the foundation.

Abstract

Sambas State Polytechnic is a state university located in West Kalimantan, precisely in Sambas Regency, which is also a tertiary institution that is of interest to the people of Sambas Regency, which must have an attraction in terms of adequate information facilities. The Sambas State Polytechnic socialization (public relations) team uses PowerPoint slides, video visualization, social media, and internet media to present the Sambas State Polytechnic's profile and its nine study programs to potential high school and Madrasah Aliyah graduate students in various districts and cities in West Kalimantan Province to increase the number of students. Then, in introducing the campus area or environment to prospective students, you still need to take a manual tour around the campus area you are going to. This calls for innovation in new digital-based socialization media in the form of a virtual tour, which can accurately portray the state of the Sambas State Polytechnic, from the campus entrance to the learning support study program rooms. The virtual tour can be accessed online via a computer or mobile device, allowing people to view the original campus environment without traveling far. A virtual Tour is a digital technology innovation whose working process mechanism changes place objects or locations into digital images that can be accessed via computer devices. The Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) technique, comprising six stages—concept, design, data collecting, creation, testing, and distribution—was utilized to develop this virtual tour application. This method was chosen because it is a very familiar multimedia method for creating Virtual Tour applications. Creating this application it is hoped that it will provide benefits, namely making it easier for visitors and prospective students to get to know the Sambas State Polytechnic campus with digital simulations and implementing digital simulations on the Sambas State Polytechnic campus, which can be accessed via a web browser application.

Abstract

Optimal education quality can be achieved when teachers provide quality and effective teaching. To measure and improve teacher performance, teacher performance appraisal is crucial. Considering the complexity of teachers' tasks, the importance of objective and data-driven teacher appraisals, and the existing problems in teacher appraisal systems, this research aims to investigate and develop a better teacher performance appraisal system to improve education quality in educational institutions. This research adopts the Extreme Programming (XP) approach as the application development method. XP is one agile method that focuses on collaboration, flexibility, and iterative development. The results showed that the application development has reached the user acceptance testing stage. About 85 percent of test participants in user acceptance testing, including teachers, principals, and administrative staff, felt that the app met their needs and could be used well. This research contributes to improving the quality of education in educational institutions by introducing a technology-based teacher performance appraisal application to improve the efficiency and objectivity of the appraisal. In addition, this research develops an understanding of the use of Extreme Programming in developing educational applications.
