Abstract

This paper presents a qualitative analysis of hybrid quantum-classical computing approaches aimed at solving complex optimization problems using near-term quantum processors. Hybrid algorithms leverage the strengths of quantum and classical computing to tackle computationally intensive tasks often constrained by current quantum hardware limitations. Through an extensive literature review and synthesis of recent empirical studies, we benchmark various hybrid algorithms, such as the Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm (QAOA) and Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE), focusing on their performance, scalability, and practical applicability on noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) devices. The study highlights the advantages, challenges, and future prospects of integrating hybrid quantum-classical computation in optimization domains, providing a comprehensive framework and qualitative insights into benchmarking methodologies and critical performance metrics.

Abstract

Transformer architectures have dominated natural language processing (NLP) advancements in recent years, yet their growing computational demands and challenges in robustness motivate exploration of alternative models. This study qualitatively evaluates State-Space Models (SSMs) as a promising next-generation architecture for NLP tasks. By conducting a comprehensive literature analysis and comparative examination of current research, this paper investigates SSMs' theoretical foundations, robustness to input perturbations, efficiency in handling long sequences, and applicability to diverse linguistic contexts. The results show that SSMs offer compelling advantages over Transformers in memory efficiency and sequence modeling capacity, while demonstrating competitive or superior robustness in several NLP benchmarks, highlighting their potential as efficient, scalable, and robust alternatives for future NLP applications.

Abstract

The rapid proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) networks has heightened the need for robust, privacy-preserving security mechanisms that ensure real-time anomaly detection. This article explores the integration of federated learning (FL) and edge computing as a promising approach to address challenges related to privacy, latency, and resource constraints in IoT environments. Employing a qualitative research methodology, this study analyzes existing literature and emerging frameworks to comprehensively assess the advantages, challenges, and future research directions of applying FL and edge computing for anomaly detection in IoT. Findings highlight that FL combined with lightweight anomaly detection algorithms deployed at the edge can significantly enhance privacy while ensuring timely intrusion detection, despite heterogeneity and limited device resources. The study suggests pathways for developing adaptive, scalable, and secure IoT networks leveraging these paradigms.

Abstract

This study discusses multivariate data analysis for customer segmentation using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) combined with the K-Means clustering method. The problem faced is the high dimension of customer data which makes it difficult to segment and make targeted marketing decisions. The solution offered is the implementation of PCA to reduce the data dimension without losing important information, then followed by K-Means to segment customers based on demographic attributes and shopping behavior. Using a dataset of 200 customers, three customer clusters with different characteristics in terms of age, annual revenue, and shopping score were found. The results of the PCA show that the first two main components are able to explain more than 78% of the data variation, making it easier to visualize and interpret the cluster. These findings provide the basis for a more targeted marketing strategy according to customer segments. In conclusion, the combination of PCA and K-Means is effective in simplifying complex data and resulting in meaningful customer segmentation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze how neuromarketing strategies are used by business actors to enhance the attractiveness of products in the eyes of consumers. The approach used in this research is qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques through literature review, observation, and documentation of neuromarketing practices applied in the marketing world. Neuromarketing is viewed as an approach that combines neuroscience and consumer psychology to identify emotional and cognitive responses to marketing elements such as color, packaging, advertising, and product layout. The results of the study show that neuromarketing is effective in increasing product attractiveness to consumers. Techniques such as the use of appealing visuals, appropriate music, and the application of principles like time limitation and social proof can influence consumers' emotions and purchasing decisions. Additionally, delivering simple messages and personalizing advertisements based on consumer data also play important roles in increasing engagement and purchase interest. Thus, neuromarketing can be a powerful strategy to help companies win competition in the market.

Abstract

In a competitive business environment, selecting and implementing the right marketing strategy is key to attracting consumers, increasing sales, and building customer loyalty. This study examines the importance of an effective product marketing strategy as a key factor in maximizing business profits. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The results show that a well-planned marketing strategy, from understanding the target audience and determining pricing to selecting promotional channels, positively impacts sales growth and customer loyalty. The use of social media, engaging promotions, and word-of-mouth marketing have proven effective in expanding market reach and building consumer trust. Furthermore, strong customer relationships through full-service sales and loyalty programs contribute to repeat purchases, enabling an integrated marketing strategy to sustainably improve business performance.

Abstract

Room service is one of the superior services offered by starred hotels, including the DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta-Diponegoro Hotel. Although generally well-rated, this hotel's room service has experienced complaints regarding the quality of the food served and the price that some customers consider inappropriate. This problem raises questions about the extent to which the quality of food products and prices can affect the level of customer satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the effect of food product quality and price on customer satisfaction in room service at the DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta-Diponegoro Hotel. The method used is quantitative with a descriptive and associative approach. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to customers. The results of the study indicate that the quality of food products and prices partially and simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. Good food quality and prices that meet customer expectations are key factors in shaping positive perceptions of room service. This research is expected to provide evaluation material for hotels to improve the quality and value of their products to meet customer expectations.

Abstract

Poultry farming, particularly chicken and duck production, makes a significant contribution to the supply of animal-based protein in Indonesia. However, the high vulnerability of poultry to infectious diseases such as Newcastle Disease, Avian Influenza, Cholera, and Pullorum often results in severe economic losses and impacts public health. The problem is further complicated because disease diagnosis in the field is still largely performed manually by farmers or veterinary personnel, which often requires considerable time, cost, and expertise, while similarities in symptoms among diseases frequently lead to misidentification. To address these issues, this study developed a web-based expert system using the Dempster-Shafer method. This method was selected because it can process uncertain data by combining evidence to generate more representative measures of belief and plausibility. The research stages included problem identification, data collection through interviews and literature studies, system design using the CodeIgniter framework based on the MVC model with PHP and MySQL, implementation of the Dempster-Shafer algorithm in the inference engine, and field testing at Ternak Hasbuan Kebun IV, Kotabumi. The developed system provides features such as a dashboard, symptom input, inference process, diagnosis results, and diagnosis history. Testing results showed that the system achieved an average compatibility rate of 88.76% compared to veterinary expert diagnoses, with system confidence values ranging from 84.6% to 92.4%. These findings demonstrate that the system can serve as a practical solution for farmers to perform independent diagnoses, accelerate disease identification, and effectively support poultry health management. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of dual-species (chicken and duck) diagnosis within a single web-based platform, validated directly through field testing.
