Abstract

The purpose of this study was to increase the effectiveness of learning mathematics on logarithmic material. The benefit of this research is to improve the mastery of logarithmic material through active learning strategies. The subjects of this classroom action research are students of class X MIPA-5 SMA Negeri 1 Sigli while the object is learning logarithmic material in Mathematics which is taught by activating students in small groups and large groups. From the research conducted by examining the initial conditions of students as measured by written test instruments and the results of classroom action research with 2 cycles, it is seen that there is an increase in the results achieved by students in mastering the given logarithmic material. The increase in the average value is 62.85 in the pre-cycle to 68.42 in the first cycle and becomes 77.2 in the second cycle. The percentage of completeness from 57.15% in the initial conditions to 68.58% in the first cycle and increased in the second cycle to 94.29%.Keywords: Active Learning, Effective Learning, and Logarithm

Abstract

This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). Classroom action research can be defined as a form of reflective study, meaning that research is carried out to improve the rational ability of the actions taken, as well as improve the conditions in which the learning practice is carried out. Classroom action research is carried out in four stages, namely: (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation or observation, and (4) reflection. This study uses two variables, namely the skill of writing narrative essays and the technique of continuing the story. Data collection was divided into two stages, namely cycle I and cycle II using test and non-test techniques with the application of learning techniques. The test used is an action test in the form of an assignment to write a narrative essay, while the non-test technique used is in the form of observation, journaling, interviews, and photo documentation. This research uses qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. Quantitative techniques were used to analyze and compare the test results of the cycle I and cycle II. Meanwhile, qualitative techniques were used to analyze and compare the results of the non-test in cycle I and cycle II. The results of this study indicate an increase in narrative essay writing skills with the technique of continuing the story in class X IPA 1 SMA N 1 Mutiara. The average value at the stage of the first cycle is 67.8. in the second cycle to 79.43. The results of non-test data analysis showed an increase in the behavior of class X IPA 1 students of SMA N 1 Mutiara in a positive direction. Students become more enthusiastic about participating in learning to write news texts. Based on the results of this study, the authors suggest that Indonesian language teachers use story-telling techniques in learning to write narrative essays. It is recommended for students to be more active and creative in learning activities in order to overcome learning difficulties and have fun while participating in learning activities. Finally, it is intended that researchers are expected to conduct research using other learning techniques to increase the repertoire of language knowledge.Keywords : writing skills, narrative essay, and story-telling techniques

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in the learning ability of students in class X TKRO-1 physics lessons on elasticity and hooke's law in the 2020/2021 school year through the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model. This research was conducted at X TKRO-1SMK Negeri 2 Sigli, Pidie Regency, the research lasted for three months, from January to March 2021. The type of research used was classroom action research (PTK) which consists of 2 cycles. The research subjects were students of class X TKRO-1 SMK Negeri 2 Sigli, Pidie district, for the 2020/2021 academic year, which were 27 students. Data analysis used a comparative descriptive analysis technique by comparing the pre-cycle with the results achieved in each cycle, cycle I and cycle II. The percentage of completeness obtained in the first cycle was 66.67% with an average grade of 77.22 and increased in the second cycle to 88.89% with an average grade of 82.33. In these two cycles there was a significant change in activity and score when compared to the pre-cycle with learning completeness which only reached 51.85% and the average score was 70.00. Thus, through the application of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model, it can improve learning outcomes on elasticity and Hooke's law materials in class X TKRO-1 SMK Negeri 2 Sigli, Pidie district.Keywords: Student Learning Outcomes, Elasticity and Hooke's Law, Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning mode

Abstract

The family will have a great influence on the growth and development of children in the future. A family that will provide a discourse on a child's life, both behavior, character, and daily habits. Parents are required to have adequate knowledge and education, so that their children will get the opportunity to learn from their parents, and parental education will have a positive impact on the development of children's learning achievements. From the description above, the author is interested in conducting a scientific study on the role of parents on the achievement of children's Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes for class VIII_A light science subjects, especially physics through experimental methods at SMPN 1 Meureudu. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles. The research subjects were class VIII-A students in the 2018/2019 academic year as many as 32 students. Data analysis used comparative descriptive analysis techniques by comparing the initial conditions with the results achieved in each cycle, and qualitative descriptive analysis of observations by comparing the results of observations and reflections in cycle I and cycle II. With the experimental method on light material for the 2018/2019 school year. The results of the first cycle of learning only 15 students completed (46.9 %), with the acquisition of an average value of student activities of 58.9% and the ability of teachers to carry out PBM 63.8% including the sufficient category. After the second cycle, it turned out that there was an increase in the number of students who completed as many as 23 people (71.9%) of the total number of 32 students with an average acquisition of student activity of 72.8%. Furthermore, the ability of teachers in managing PBM has increased to 77.7%. Thus, most of the students of class VIII-A SMPN 1 Meureudu experienced an increase in learning outcomes in science, especially physics on light material.Keywords: learning outcomes, experimental method, and Light

Abstract

Social studies lessons are known as boring lessons because the delivery method is like a lecture, therefore students' interest in social studies lessons is very different from counting, reading or skills lessons. This article aims to discuss how to attract student involvement by using the IPS process skills approach. The method used is the preparation of a Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) made by the teacher correctly and the components are complete. The results of this article, if the skills of the learning process are said to be successful, if students are able to complete test questions or exams by obtaining good grades.Keywords: IPS process skills

Abstract

Proses pendidikan menjadi satu faktor yang dapat menangani krisis multidimensional di era globalisasi. Sehingga diperlukan untuk mengatasi krisis multidimensi yang menimbulkan penyimpangan moral di Indonesia. Salah satunya dengan memperkuat ilmu pengetahuan tentang budaya dan karakter bangsa yang dimulai sejak pendidikan dasar melalui Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS). Hal ini perlu dilakukan riset mendalam untuk mengetahui dampak apa saja yang terbentuk adanya pendidikan IPS. Penyusunan artikel ini menerapkan metode kualitatif. Riset kualitatif merupakan pembangunan realita dan pemahaman implikasi. Teknik penulisannya dengan menghimpun dan menganalisa data yang berhubungan dengan pengaruh pembelajaran IPS terhadap pembentukan karakter dan keterampilan sosial pada siswa dari berbagai studi pustaka. Hasil riset menunjukkan adanya pembelajaran IPS di tingkat Sekolah Dasar guna mempersiapkan siswa dengan pembelajaran IPS akan berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, keahlian atau keterampilan, serta tindak lanjut pada sikap siswa tingkat sekolah dasar. Pengetahuan Ilmu Sosial menjadi pembelajaran yang diintregasikan pada ilmu sosial dan humanitas dalam pendidik kompetensi warga negara. Pendidikan IPS memiliki peran menciptakan karakteristik siswa berasaskan moral untuk hidup di lingkungan bermasyarakat. Pembelajaran IPS dapat membentuk personal dengan dimensi personal, dimensi sosiokultural, dimensi spiritual, dan dimensi intelektual. Sehingga dapat membentuk tiga kompetensi dalam pembelajaran IPS, meliputi kompetensi personal, kompetensi sosial dan kompetensi intelektual.Kata kunci: Kontribusi; Pendidikan Sosial; Pembelajaran

Abstract

This article aims to understand the development of social studies curriculum both in Indonesia and outside the country. General Learning Objectives after studying this subject is that we are expected to be able to analyze the nature of the Social Studies Education curriculum. The method used is reading sources and gathering information so articles, journals and books. Abstract

Meunasah secara fisik, adalah bangunan rumah panggung, yang dibangun pada tiap gampông (desa) yang disekelilingnya dibangun sumur, bak air, dan tempat keperluan buang air, Pada lembaga ini pada umumnya, metode pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah halaqah (dalam lingkaran) klasikal sesuai dengan sifat meunasah sebagai lembaga pendidikan tradisonal. Halaqah pada prakteknya seorang teungku memberikan pengajaran dengan posisi duduk di tengah, sementara anak didik (murib; aneuk miet beuët) mengelilingi teungku, Sehubungan dengan  eksisnya meunasah sebagai lembaga pendidikan tradisional, didukung oleh tiga faktor utama. Pertama, faktor kesadaran orang tua, karena mereka merasa bertanggung jawab atas pendidikan anaknya sejak dini. Kedua, faktor masyarakat, mereka merasa bahwa lembaga pendidikan ini adalah miliknya dan disini belajar semua anak anggota masyarakat tanpa memandang status sosial dari setiap individu. Ketiga, faktor ibadah.

Abstract

Keterlibatan perempuan di luar rumah dalam berbagai aktifitas adalah persoalan yang masih terus diperdebatkan oleh berbagai kalangan, termasuk di kalangan teungku-teungku dayah. Oleh itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pandangan teungku-teungku dayah terhadap perempuan beraktifitas di luar rumah dan dalam kegiatan sosial kemasyarakatan. Penelitian ini berbentuk penelitian lapangan, dengan mengunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian didapati adanya dua pandangan teungku dayah terhadap perempuan beraktifitas di luar rumah. Pandangan pertama adalah perempuan boleh beraktifitas di luar rumah dengan ketentuan: keadaan mendesak, mendapatkan izin dari suami/wali, mampu menjaga diri, nama baik keluarga dan nama baik suami (jika sudah menikah), terhindar dari fitnah, tidak ikhtilat dan pekerjaannya sesuai ajaran Islam. Pandangan kedua adalah perempuan tidak boleh beraktifitas di luar rumah dengan alasan: hukum Islam, kerja perempuan di rumah, Ikhtilat dan berhias diri perempuan menimbulkan fitnah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat dua pandangan teungku dayah terhadap keterlibatan perempuan di luar rumah dan dalam kegiatan sosial, yaitu ada yang membolehkan da nada juga tidak membolehkan.
