Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of nesting care in stabilizing physiological parameters of low birth weight infants receiving treatment in a perinatology unit. A descriptive case study design was used to observe two premature infants who experienced respiratory instability, fluctuating body temperature, feeding intolerance, and a high risk of infection. Nesting care was applied continuously for three days by positioning the infants in a flexed posture resembling the intrauterine environment to improve comfort and reduce physiological stress. Physiological parameters, including heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, and body temperature, were monitored before and after the intervention. The results showed consistent improvement in both infants, marked by decreased heart rate and respiratory rate, increased oxygen saturation reaching ninety nine percent, and stable body temperature within the normal range. These findings indicate that nesting care supports physiological stabilization and promotes energy conservation in infants with low birth weight. In conclusion, nesting care is a simple, affordable, evidence based intervention that enhances physiological stability and can be integrated into routine neonatal nursing practice

Abstract

The re-escalation of the Palestine-Israel conflict in 2023 has triggered mixed responses from regional countries, especially Saudi Arabia and Iran, two major powers in the Middle East with contrasting political orientations and national interests. This study aims to analyze the geopolitical dynamics influencing the attitudes of the two countries toward the conflict, using Donald E. Nuechterlein's theory of national interest. Through the library research method, this study identifies that Saudi Arabia tends to emphasize regional stability and maintain strategic relations with the West, while Iran uses the conflict to strengthen its anti-Zionist ideological narrative and expand its regional influence through alliances with non-state actors. The findings show that differences in interests in terms of defense, economy, ideology, and global position significantly shape each country's response patterns. This study contributes to the understanding of the shifting balance of power in the Middle East and the relevance of national interests in determining the direction of foreign policy in the region.

Abstract

The swift integration of cryptocurrencies into mainstream financial systems has attracted a growing number of new investors to conventional markets. This segment entering digital asset environments for the initial time is distinctly exposed to inherent dangers like unpredictable price fluctuations, uncertainty in regulations, security threats and limited protections for members. This investigation aims to study how perceptions of monetary peril influence the investment choices of these fledgling contributors. By utilizing a quantitative, cross-sectional, correlational design, the research gathered primary data from 300 initial cryptocurrency buyers through an online structured questionnaire. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, factor analysis, correlation, multiple direct regression and moderation analysis. Key results indicate that heightened perceptions of fiscal risk—particularly regarding capital depletion and unstable markets—are significantly associated with cautious investment behaviors for example preferring long-term possession of assets and avoiding leverage. Additionally, the work found demographic variables such as age and income moderate the strength of these links. Grounded in the Conservation of Resources theory, the analysis offers a psychological explanation for the resource-preserving strategies embraced by new crypto investors. By focusing on an understudied population within the behavioral finance domain, this examination contributes to theoretical understanding of financial decision-making under ambiguity and furnishes practical insights for fintech platforms, investor education programs and regulatory frameworks aimed at enhancing the security and inclusiveness of digital monetary markets.

Abstract

This study aims to understand how workaholism mediates financial stress and the adaptive strategies of the sandwich generation, and how Islamic values influence the meaning and justification of this behavior. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method to explore in depth the subjective experiences of individuals in interpreting financial stress and the urge to overwork. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews with participants who met the criteria for the sandwich generation, while secondary data were sourced from academic literature, documents, and relevant previous studies. This study analysis uses the Transactional Model of Stress and Coping theory by Lazarus and Folkman and the Religious Coping theory by Kenneth Pargament. These two theories were chosen because they are able to explain how individuals deal with economic stress through two main approaches: problem-focused coping through hard work and emotion-focused coping through spiritual values such as tawakal (trust), patience, and contentment (qana'ah). This study is expected to contribute to the psychological and religious understanding of workaholism behavior in the sandwich generation, while also enriching scientific studies on the balance between economic responsibility, spirituality, and mental health in the context of Indonesian culture.
