Abstract

In many coastal waters, including in the Kwandang Bay, often there are threeinterrelated ecosystems, they are mangroves, seagrass beds and coral reefs ecosystems.This study aims to determine the existence of mangrove ecosystems in the KwandangBay waters, and to determine the condition of the ecosystem based on the communitystructure. This research was conducted in the waters in the Kwandang Gulf of NorthGorontalo District for three months. The method used in this research was a surveymethod, and purposive sampling was conducted to collect the data. Six samplingstations with 20x20 m2 transect areas were determined to collect the mangroveecosystem data. Mangrove species found were Shoneratia alba, Brugeiragymnorrhiza, Xylocarpus sp,, Cariops tagal, Rhizophora sp, and Avicenia sp. Themangrove ecosystem has low diversity level, evenly distributed species, and there is nodominant species.

Abstract

Ones of information that needed on fisheries resources management isevalute catch per unit effort daily, montly, and annually. Daily of CPUEinfluenced of moon phase, and montly of CPUE might cause of fishing season.The CPUE research of Kembung Fish (Restrelliger spp) in Thousand Island is forstudy of lunar moon influence to cacth and season. This research done at june2006 to februari 2007 at Panggang-Pramuka Island, Kelapa Island, Tidung Island,Lancang Island, and Damar Island. Result of study knowns that Restrelliger spcatch on the peak solar moon less than a few day before and after solar moonpeak. Fishing season in Damar and Panggang-Pramuka Island shown on August-October, and Lancang, Kelapa, also Tidung Island on June-September. OnDecember, a part of Kembung fish migrate to east of damal island.

Abstract

This research was conducted to identify the exsisting condition of Kajuik lake tourism,to study the development strategy and to find alternative of Kajuik Lake tourism development.The method used in this research is survey method. The results showed that Kajuik Lake has ecotourism potential that is still beautiful, but the facilities and infrastructure in Lake Kajuik have not been adequate, such as the lack of tourism acts and difficult to access Kajuik Lake tour especially during the rainy season beside that, Kecamatan Langgam has traditional cultural tourism destination Balimau kasai potang mogang which is held every year. Based on the analysis of interests (SWOT Analysis) shows that the priority sequence of strategy consists of Development of doing the development of cultural and maritime tourism (ecotourism) with the importance of 2.54, intensifying local tourism promotion with importance value 1.72, supporting facilities and infrastructure of tourism objects with the interests of 0,74

Abstract

The aimed of this research was to find out survival rate and growth of kissinggouramy larvae with different stocking density. Research used Completely RandomizedDesign (CRD) with five treatments and three replications. The treatment was useddifferent of stocking density were 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14 larvae per liter. Result of researchshowed that the different of stocking density was significant on length and weightgrowth, but not significant for survival rate. Stocking density with six larvae per literwas resulted the highest value consist of absolute length growth (3.2±0.0 cm per larvae),absolute weight growth (476.67±11.55 mg per larvae) and survival rate (60.55±1.27 %).Physical-Chemical parameters of water during research was in optimal range weretemperature 26-280C, pH 6.9-7.1, dissolved oxygen 4.00-4.09 mg.L-1 and ammonia0.004–0.013 mg.L-1.

Abstract

A study on the strategy of the development of sustainable floating-net cagefisheries in the reservoir of Koto Panjang Hydro-electric Power Plant, Kampar, RiauProvince, was conducted on May-October 2009.. Based on its carrying capacity, thenumber of FNC units which can be exposed in the reservoir during the period of thestudy is 19,599 – 33,515. units. The existing utilization level for 900 KJA is actuallyabout 2.7-4.6 % of the capacity. This indicates that FNC is potential to be develoved.At the time of FNC research with operations in reservoirs are concentrated in theforbidden zone as compared with cultivation zone . The strategy of developmentfloating net cage in reservoir of Koto Panjang for the use of wastes, cultivationtechnology, and environmentally friendly quality feeding, so that the waste from FNCcan be reduced and the adversely impact can be minimized and the reservoir qualitycan be controlled up to floating net cage fisheries in the reservoir sustainable.

Abstract

Dunaliella salina is a group of green algae that produces pigment (chlorophyll and carotenoids) and used as live feed in hatchery especially for marine commodities. Nitrogen and phosphorus are needed by D. salina can be obtained from P. radiatus fertilizer. The purpose of this research is to know the effect and optimal dose of P. radiatus fertilizer to density and carotenoid content of D. salina. The research was conducted on March-May in the Natural  Feed Laboratory, BBPBAP Jepara Central Java. The research method was used completely randomized design. The treatments used is P0 (control) (Walne 0,5 mL/L), and P. radiates fertilizer is treatments P1 (60 mL/L), P2 (120 mL/L), P3 (180 mL/L), with 3 replicates. The density of D. salina cells is observed for ten days. Carotenoid measurement in the exponential phase using a spectrophotometer.The results showed that the P. radiatus fertilizer as a media culture gives an effect on the density and carotenoid content of D. salina. Phaseolus radiatus fertilizer showed the best density and carotenoid content at dose 60 mL/L. The amount of density in the exponential phase was 476.67 x 104 cells/mL with a carotenoid content of 0.967 µg/mL.

Abstract

This research was conducted in October 2013 in Pematang Sei Baru village of Tanjung Balai Asahan sub regency Asahan Regency in North Sumatera Province. This study aims to determine the level of environmental friendly sembilang gillnet using Fish Aggregating Device (Tuasan) or FAD and economical feasibility of this environmentally friendly technologies. The method used in this study is a survey method with direct observation both interviews and discussions with fisherman. Observation by using FAO (1995) criteria shows that this fishing gear in combination with FAD could be classified into environmentally friendly fishing gear. The results of the feasibility analysis calculations indicate that this gillnet bussiness proved provide benefits for fishermen and deserves to be developed because of the value of BCR (Benefit Cost Ratio) retrieved of 3.07; FRR (Financial Rate of Return) is 181.91% and PPC (Payback Period of Capital) is only 6 months and 18 days.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Technology of Processing,Chemical Fisheries and Fishery Microbiology Faculty of Fisheries and MarineSciences University of Riau, in October 2011. The research objective was todetermine the effect of addition carbonated water on freshness quality of Carpstored at room temperature. Carp weighing ± 200 grams each was obtained from afish market in Pekanbaru. The fish was grouped into 2 groups. First group wassoaked in 10% carbonated water and another group was soaked in 3.2%carbonated water +3.2% sugar +5.8% natrium. After soaking for 30 minutes, thefish was stored at room temperature for 12 hours. Fish quality was evaluated forsensory atribute, pH, TPC and TVB. The results showed that the fish added with10% carbonated water had a longer shelf life than those soaked in 3.2%.

Abstract

Koto Masjid Village is the largest production center in striped catfish fish farming activities in Riau Province. One of the inhibiting factors is the disease caused by bacteria, this study aims to determine the types of pathogenic bacteria that have the potential to infect striped catfish. This research was conducted in August - November 2019, samples of striped catfish used in the study amounted to 15 tails with an average length of 15-25 cm taken from 5 ponds in Kampung II, Koto Masjid Village, XIII Koto Kampar Subdistrict, and then identified bacteria by Conventional Laboratory in Fish Parasites and Diseases, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Riau University, Pekanbaru. This study uses a survey method that is by taking samples from the field in Pu and then the isolation of bacteria is carried out from the kidney organ in the TSB media then purified on the TSA media. The results of the study found 3 types of pathogenic bacteria namely Aeromonas sp., Edwardsiella sp., and Pseudomonas sp. Water quality during the study was pH 6.6-70, DO 4.05-4.35 mg/L, NH3 0.035-0.2 mg/L and Temperature 28-300C.

Abstract

Kerang bambu merupakan salah satu jenis moluska dari famili solenidae yang mempunyainilai ekonomis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2017 bertempatdi Pantai Desa Teluk Lancar Kecamatan Bantan Kabupaten Bengkalis. Penelitian inibertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik habitat, kelimpahan dan pola distribusi kerangbambu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei. Penentuanlokasi pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Pengukurankualitas perairan dilakukan secara in situ dan ex situ yang terdiri dari parameter fisikadan kimia perairan. Karakteristik habitat kerang bambu yaitu jenis substratnya pasirdengan klasifikasi pasir sangat halus. Bahan organik sedimen tergolong rendah dansangat rendah 0,907-1,749 %. Padatan tersuspensi tergolong sangat tinggi 223-1830mg/l. Parameter kualitas perairan masih mendukung untuk kehidupan kerang.Kelimpahan rata-rata adalah 0,88/m2, kelimpahan tertinggi terdapat di subzona 5(zona lower) atau surut terendah dan kelimpahan terendah pada subzona 3 (zona middle)atau zona tengah intertidal. Pola distribusi rata-rata bersifat mengelompok. Ukurankerang yang ditemukan memiliki panjang 45-93 mm dengan berat 1,91-9,67 g.
