Abstract

This research was conducted in Muara Nibung Village, Pandan District, Tapanuli Tengah Regency, North Sumatra Province with the aim of knowing the amount of investment, profits and the level of feasibility of fishing for a Bagan Tancap fisherman based on financial aspects of using investment analysis, income, profit, revenue cost (R/C), financial rate of return (FRR), and payback period of capital (PPC). The method used in this study is a survey method while the determination of respondents is carried out by a census. The data collection was carried out by observations, interviews and documentation directly with 37 people of Bagan Tancap fishermen. The results of the study show that the Bagan tancap in Muara Nibung has two categories of operating distance from the coast, including the Bagan dekat ±1 km and the Bagan jauh ±3 km, of course different investments, profit and business feasibility. For Bagan dekat ±1 km the total investment is (IDR 124,616,000.00), the profit received is (IDR 121,240,800.00/year), R/C (2.59), FRR (97.29), PPC (1.03). Whereas Bagan jauh ±3 km the total investment is (IDR 139,416,000.00), the profit received is (IDR 179,140,800.00/year), R/C (2.85), FRR (128.49), PPC (0.78). Based on the results of the calculation that the R/C is more than 1, the FRR is greater than the bank interest rate of 11%, and the PPC is getting smaller, meaning that the fishing business is profitable and feasible to continue.

Abstract

Anchovies (Stolephorus sp) are fish that have important economic value even though they are small. This fish is rich in nutritional content and has a savory and delicious taste when processed into food. This fish is very liked by various groups even though it has a small size and without bones. This anchovy contains lots of calcium, protein and minerals such as phosphorus and iron that are very useful for increasing the intelligence of children and toddlers, as well as for preventing osteoporosis in pregnant women and the elderly as well as helping in the growth of bones and teeth in infants, toddlers and children. To improve the quality of anchovy nuggets, it is necessary to add certain binders to improve the taste of anchovy nuggets. This study aims to improve the quality of anchovy nuggets by adding a binder in the form of servedku flour and adding to the economic value of refined anchovy so that it is more attractive to the public. There were 3 treatments and 2 repetitions. The treatments were A. Anchovies; A1 = using carrots, A2 = without carrots and treatment B (sajiku flour concentration); B1=100g, B2= 200g. Moreover, Treatment C (cooking temperature); C = 65ºC - 85ºC for 30 minutes. From the results of the study, it can be seen that the water content, protein content and fat content did not show any significant effect.

In 2007, there was a decrease in marine fish production to 187,092 tons. Three important elements of the market, namely (a) human will; (b) the desire to have; (c) the ability to shop. A group of people in pursuing the business of processing fresh fish, making semi-finished products, as well as finished products is the purpose of fish processors. The environment around the business that has a direct impact on business operations is the marketing environment. The big influence that also affects the marketing of fish to fishery business actors or micro, small and medium enterprises in the city of Padang is also caused by environmental factors used to In this study using a survey method that looks directly at each activity and conditions that exist in the research area related to problems that occur when marketing processed fish which is also an analysis of the factors that can affect fish consumption by consumers of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

Abstract

Freshwater lobster (Cherax quadricarinatus) is a type of crustacean (crustacean). Freshwater lobster is a type of shrimp that lives in shallow fresh inland waters, with a muddy substrate and lots of gaps and cavities to hide. The cultivation of freshwater lobsters is quite easy because the tolerance to the environment is quite high with relatively few disease problems. Molting is a natural process that occurs in freshwater lobsters as their bodies grow. Calcium is one of the mineral elements that lobsters really need to form new shells. In addition to calcium, lobsters will also undergo a mineralization process to form new membranes using calcium absorbed from the environment in which they live. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of supplementation of calcium flour from crab shells on commercial feed on molting frequency, absolute weight and length, survival of freshwater lobster, and determine the appropriate dose of calcium flour supplementation of crab shells. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications with additional doses of calcium flour, 0%, 2%, 4%, and 6% per kg of feed. The stock density of freshwater lobster was 7 individuals per aquarium for 30 days of rearing. The results showed that the addition of shell calcium powder of as much as 4% (treatment C) was the best dose with 2 molts/ind and the lowest was in treatment A (control). The highest growth in absolute weight and absolute length was at a concentration of 4% (treatment C) 2.34g and 1.55 cm, the lowest value was obtained at treatment A (control) 1.63g and 0.95 cm. Supplementation of crab shell calcium flour in commercial feed for crayfish did not have a significant effect on the survival (SR) of freshwater lobster.

Abstract

Kappaphycus alvarezii is used in industry as a food ingredient, a source of hydrocolloids, cosmetics, food additives, animal feed, fertilizers, biofuels, and medicinal ingredients. K.alvarezii is cultivated in several areas in Indonesia, including on the island of Lombok. The production of K.alvarezii is related to its growth and it is related to its phytohormones. K.alvarezii cultivated in Lombok is currently not known for its composition and amount of phytohormones. The content of phytohormones at different planting ages is of course different. The purpose of this study was to determine the number of phytohormones in seaweed K. alvarezii at different planting ages. This study conducted in Ekas Bay, Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat from June to December 2020. The study used experimental methods and descriptive data analysis. The results of this study explain that currently cultivated K. alvarezii contains cytokinins, auxins and gibberellins. Cytokinins obtained on the 9th day of planting were 11.62 ppm and increased on the 18th day to 12.34 ppm. At the next planting age, it continued to decrease on the 27th day to 11.43 ppm and at harvest time, the 45th day of 10.69 ppm. Auxin detected in the seeds used was 644.93 ppm, on the 27th day of 14.27 ppm and the 36th day of 1078.25 ppm. Giberilin was detected on the 9th day at 0.49 ppm. This study concluded that K. alvarezii at different planting ages had different phytohormones content.

Abstract

Food waste in urban areas is an endless problem, considering that waste will continue to exist. The technique of managing waste to become an alternative feed for catfish is one of the steps to overcome the problem of waste and at the same time becomes an alternative fish feed solution for fish cultivators. The purpose of this research is to process food waste into fish feed. The method used in writing this article is literature review. Based on the results of the literature review and the author's analysis, it can be concluded that food ingredients that can be processed into catfish feed are food waste by utilizing fermentation or by mixing or formulated with other raw materials such as (fish meal, magot, tofu dregs, and fine bran). The fermentation process can use fishery products sold in the market, including (EM4, Boster, etc) which are mixed with molasses.
