Abstract

Physics learning module based on virtual Physics-Lab as a learning medium to help students in virtual experimenting with dynamic electrical materials for SMP Grade IX. This module is equipped with a user guide, short materials, worksheets, and questions so that students can practice science process skills. This research aims to create a valid learning module to be applied as a source of dynamic electrical learning in junior high school. This module is based on a virtual lab, so it can be used as an alternative when direct experimental activities cannot be carried out optimally. That way learning through the experimental method can be done effectively and efficiently. This type of research applies research and development by adapting the ADDIE development model from the analysis, design, development, and evaluation stages. Data collection used a validation sheet as a research tool to be given a module validation assessment by three experts as validators. The results of the research obtained qualitative data based on validator suggestions and quantitative data through validation assessment instruments with an average value of 3.57, valid criteria. Therefore, the Physics-Lab-based physics learning module is suitable for use in dynamic electrical learning in SMP Grade IX

Abstract

This research aim was to test the validity of the integrated physics module for natural disasters and mitigation for middle schools. This research uses research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Specifically for this research, it is limited to development. Specifically for this research, it is limited to development. The analysis in the analysis phase includes material analysis and regional potential analysis. The material analysis results show that several materials can be integrated with natural disaster materials, namely particle dynamics, heat and displacement, and static and dynamic fluids. At the design stage, two stages were carried out: the physics module's design and the validation instrument's preparation. At the development phase, validation of the physics module is carried out. Improvement or revision of the module product based on the validation sheet and suggestions from the experts involved. The research data is quantitative data based on the data from the validity of the physics module. The study used a validation assessment sheet instrument. The validity data analysis technique uses a Likert scale. The results of the validation of the physics module for aspects of content, construct, linguistics, and graphics obtained an average value of 89.8% which is categorized as valid. Therefore, the integrated physics module for natural disasters and mitigation that has been designed is declared suitable for use in physics learning according to the material and level of middle school education and can be tested for practicality and effectiveness.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence-based shoe oven design has been carried out to provide an even heating process for leather shoes so that the shoe bends are perfect. The process of making leather shoes is carried out in several stages, namely designing an oven using solid work software, collecting quality tools and materials, making shoe ovens, making Arduino programs and Artificial Intelligence applications using MIT App Inventor, and testing. The shoe oven has two main chambers, namely the combustion chamber and the shoe heating chamber. The shoe oven works with the help of an Artificial Intelligence application that can monitor and control the oven with a maximum distance of 5 meters through the monitoring mode and the input set setting mode. The shoe oven is set to a temperature of (50-55)oC with a heating time of (30-60) minutes and has the ability to withstand constant heat for 45 minutes to dry the leather and perfect the curve of the shoe with the help of Arduino. Artificial Intelligence-based shoe ovens can improve shoe quality in a faster and controlled time.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to increase students' motivation and cognitive learning outcomes through the application of physics learning media based on the game of snakes and ladders in senior high school class X related to the material of work and energy. The research method used is a pre-experimental type with a one-group pretest-posttest design research model. Data collection techniques are through test techniques for learning outcomes and questionnaire techniques for student motivation and responses. Data were analyzed based on paired sample t-test technique, N-Gain test, and percentage descriptive. The results of the research obtained an increase in students' cognitive physics learning outcomes based on the results of the t-count score smaller than t-table, a large increase of 38.39% (medium), student learning motivation increased from good category (78.63%) to very good (88.47%), while the students' responses were categorized as very good. Therefore, the use of snakes and ladders game media is effectively applied for learning in SMA class X on the material of work and energy.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the progress of mastery of the concept of Work & Energy and the concept of Dynamic Electricity with the application of media-based learning in the Virtual PhET laboratory. This type of research uses descriptive research to describe the object studied against the sample, namely students of the physics education study program, FKIP University of Cenderawasih. Collecting research data using a concept mastery test instrument given at the end of the lecture through a written essay test with 9 questions. This test is given to determine the mastery of students' concepts after taking lessons on the concepts of Work & Energy, and Dynamic Electricity. The test result data were analyzed based on the student's concept mastery assessment score. The results of the research obtained for concepts 1 and 2 mostly obtained very good and good categories of 63.50%, sufficient percentage category of 12.00%, and less and very poor categories of 21.00%. Therefore, the application of learning concept 1 and concept 2 based on the Virtual PhET laboratory media during the covid-19 pandemic for Cendrawasih University physics education students progressed to better mastery of concepts with the largest gains in the good and very good categories.

Abstract

21st-century education requires creative students who can master science and technology, art, and culture through the development of education. Innovation in physics learning is needed to increase the creativity of students in the 21st century. One of the efforts to support the creativity of students is through the integration of STEM learning combined with local wisdom. Ethno-STEM is an educational approach that is appropriate to be applied in the 21st century. The integration of STEM and Ethnoscience approaches can make physics learning more meaningful. The research was conducted to determine the use of Ethno-STEM-based teaching materials in increasing the creativity of students in physics learning with the subject of dynamic fluid. The research method used is the pre-experimental method with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. Data were collected through observation sheets and creativity test instruments. Analysis of research data obtained by calculating N-Gain, normality test, and paired t-test. The results of the N-Gain calculation obtained a value of 0.50 in the medium category. The results of the paired t-test obtained a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test. The results of the research indicate that using Ethno-STEM-based teaching materials can increase students' creativity in learning physics.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the use of reading guide-based physics practicum manuals to improve students' creative thinking skills. The type of research method used in this research is a literature study. Data collection is obtained from various journals, books, and proceedings that are relevant to the focus of the research and based on creative thinking indicators, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration in a reading guide-based practical model. The data were analyzed by the correlation between the indicators of creative thinking ability and the practicum guide model used. The results of this research are a collection of references that are relevant to the focus of the research. Based on the results of the literature study, it was found that there was a correlation or continuity between the criteria for reading guide learning strategies and indicators of creative thinking skills, namely: 1) Fluency, 2) flexibility, 3) originality, and 4) elaboration. Therefore, it is concluded that the use of variations of the reading guide-based physics practicum model will be able to improve students' creative thinking skills if it is used in learning that carries out physics practicum.
