The rise of social media, especially TikTok, has transformed how companies market their products, particularly in the beauty industry. Influencers are often used as an effective marketing strategy as they can shape consumer perception and purchasing decisions, especially among Generation Z who are active on TikTok. This study aims to determine the influence of influencer credibility and brand image on the purchase intention of facial skin care products marketed through TikTok, focusing on female Generation Z consumers in Denpasar City. This is a quantitative associative research using 107 respondents. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that the influencer credibility variable (X1) and the brand image variable (X2) significantly influence the purchase intention (Y) of facial skin care products marketed through TikTok among Generation Z female consumers in Denpasar.

Abstract

Climate change caused by human activities such as deforestation and pollution is a serious global issue. In Indonesia, despite the existence of the Environmental Protection and Management Law, the enforcement of environmental criminal law is still weak due to light sanctions, overlapping regulations, and corruption. This study assesses the effectiveness of environmental criminal policy in Bali related to climate change through an analysis of Regional Regulation No. 5/2011 and empirical data from interviews and court decisions. The results show that the environmental criminal law framework has not explicitly criminalized activities that cause climate change, such as carbon emissions from land conversion, and existing sanctions are not commensurate with ecological losses. Empirically, only 20% of environmental cases result in imprisonment, while 80% are resolved administratively. The main obstacles include economic pressure from the tourism industry, limited capacity of the apparatus, and conflicts between national and customary laws. This study recommends revision of regulations to include aspects of climate change, the establishment of a Special Environmental Court, and the integration of customary sanctions. These findings contribute to the green criminology literature and offer a Balinese Eco-Legal Framework model to balance tourism development and environmental protection. Without strong policy intervention, Bali is at risk of losing its ecological carrying capacity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of motivation, workload, and compensation on the performance of non-civil servant (PNS) employees at Ganesha University of Education. Non-PNS employees have an important role in supporting university operations, therefore it is important to understand the factors that influence their performance. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to non-PNS employees at Ganesha University of Education. The sample of this study consisted of 189 non-PNS employee respondents who had various positions and responsibilities in various work units at the university. The results of the data analysis showed that motivation, workload, and compensation had a significant effect on the performance of non-PNS employees at Ganesha University of Education. Motivation of non-PNS employees has a positive effect on employee performance, where employees who have high motivation tend to show better performance. Meanwhile, workload has a negative effect on the performance of non-PNS Undiksha employees. The higher the workload given, the employee performance tends to decrease. Fair and adequate compensation also has a positive impact on the performance of non-PNS employees. Motivation, workload, and compensation have a significant effect on the performance of non-PNS employees at Ganesha University of Education. The results of this study imply that Ganesha University of Education should enhance non-PNS employee performance by improving motivation through recognition, rewards, and career development. Abstract

This study aims to observe and explore every aspect listed on the IDX since 2019 - 2023. This problem arises because of the characteristics of profit manager actions and the inconsistency of the results of the initial study. The approach used is quantitative by applying panel data regression, including classical assumption tests, descriptive analysis, f tests, t tests, and testing the coefficient of determination. The total sample is 21 companies determined from a purposive sampling of 64 companies. The information is obtained from secondary sources, and panel data regression analysis is carried out using the Eviews tool. The study results if each independent variable contributes to earnings management. It shows that each aspect determined and selected in this study does not contribute to earnings management actions. This study shows that profitability, leverage, and audit quality have no significant effect on earnings management in energy sector companies on the IDX. Profitability and leverage do not determine earnings management practices, while audit quality is more utilized to increase investor confidence than to limit manipulation of financial statements.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an understanding that research is not merely an academic formality but can also serve as a valuable asset in the world of entrepreneurship. The concept of Curiosity-Driven Entrepreneurship emphasizes that curiosity plays a crucial role in discovering business opportunities and creating innovations. Through research, students can sharpen their analytical skills, identify market trends, and explore sustainable business potentials. This study highlights success stories of entrepreneurs who started from a place of curiosity, such as the founder of Instagram who studied digital user behavior before creating a platform that has become a global business ecosystem, and Poison Coffee Shop, which successfully developed unique marketing strategies based on the exploration of trends and consumer preferences. By understanding how research can be applied in the business world, students are expected to shift their paradigm about research from a burdensome task to a strategic skill that can support their future success.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of good governance principles in the formation of Regional Regulations (Perda) in Indonesia with a focus on the aspects of transparency, public participation, and accountability. The research method uses a qualitative approach through document studies of 15 problematic Perda and in-depth interviews with 10 stakeholders in Bandung City and Sleman Regency. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of good governance principles is still low, where only 40% of regions are transparent in publishing Perda drafts, public participation reaches 25-30%, and accountability is recorded at 20%. The main obstacles include structural limitations (70% of regions do not have a policy analysis unit), cultural (bureaucratic resistance), and technical (limited human resource capacity). However, the study also identified good practices such as the E-Legislation system in Surabaya which increased youth participation by 40%, and the Perda Law Clinic in Yogyakarta which reduced problematic Perda by 35%. These findings conclude that institutional strengthening, increasing legislative capacity, and utilizing technology are the keys to realizing the formation of more participatory and accountable Perda. The study recommends three strategic steps: (1) the establishment of a regulatory analysis unit in each region, (2) technical training for Perda drafters, and (3) the development of a digital platform for public participation.
