Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of Domestic Investment, Provincial Minimum Wage, and Foreign Investment on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of the Food and Beverage Processing Industry in Indonesia during the period 2014–2024. The research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). Panel data from 38 provinces are utilized, and the Random Effect Model is selected as the most appropriate estimation method. The results indicate that Domestic Investment does not have a significant effect, while the Provincial Minimum Wage and Foreign Investment have a significant effect on the GRDP of the Food and Beverage Processing Industry. These findings are in line with the current government priority programs, namely industrial downstreaming and the Free Nutritious Meal Program. Therefore, this study is expected to provide policy recommendations for the government in strengthening industrial competitiveness, improving workers’ welfare, and supporting the success of current and future government programs

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of workload on employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable and transformational leadership as a moderating variable at the Regional Revenue Management Agency (BPPD) of Buru Regency. This study is motivated by the still low achievement of employee performance as indicated by fluctuations in performance realization and the failure to achieve regional revenue targets, which are thought to be influenced by high workload, low job satisfaction, and the less-than-optimal implementation of transformational leadership. This study uses a quantitative approach. The study population was all 42 employees of BPPD Buru Regency, and all were sampled using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire using a Likert scale. Data analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method using SmartPLS software version 4.0. The results of the study indicate that: (1) workload has a negative and significant effect on employee performance; (2) workload has a negative and significant effect on job satisfaction; (3) job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; (4) job satisfaction is proven to mediate the effect of workload on employee performance; and (5) transformational leadership moderates the influence of workload on job satisfaction positively, thereby weakening the negative impact of workload on job satisfaction. The findings of this study confirm that proportional workload management, increasing employee job satisfaction, and the effective implementation of transformational leadership are important factors in improving employee performance at the BPPD Buru Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of tourist motivation and interest in visiting on Joy of Missing Out (JOMO) at the Bogor Botanical Gardens tourist destination. JOMO describes the emotional satisfaction and self-awareness of tourists who enjoy tranquility and mindful experiences without digital social pressure, as opposed to the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) phenomenon. This study employs a survey method in conjunction with an associative quantitative methodology. A questionnaire was used to gather data form 135 respondents who were chosen using purposive sampling. Because the data was not regularly distributed, Spearman’s correlation test was used for the study. The findings demonstrated a significant positive correlation between tourist motivation and JOMO (r=0.673; p<0.001), while tourist interest in visiting showed a very strong positive relationship with JOMO (r=0.760; p<0.001). Simultaneously, both variables significantly influenced the formation of JOMO behavior. These findings indicate that the higher the motivation and interest of tourists to seek calm and reflective experiences, the greater their tendency to enjoy tourism that focuses on inner balance and self-awareness. Thus, the Bogor Botanical Gardens has the potential to become a slow travel destination that supports a sustainable tourism lifestyle and the psychological well-being of tourists.

Abstract

The post–COVID-19 pandemic growth of wellness tourism has created opportunities for destinations to offer travel experiences that are not only recreation-oriented but also support tourists’ physical health, mental well-being, and spiritual wellness. This study examines the collaborative tourism program “Aromatic Wellness Trip” as an effort to integrate wellness tourism and cultural tourism through cooperation between Lokananta as a historical and music tourism destination, Rumah Atsiri as an essential-oil edu-recreation destination, and Atsiri Jawa as a culture-based wellness destination in the Solo–Tawangmangu area. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through a literature review, participant observation, and in-depth interviews with the managers of Lokananta, Rumah Atsiri, and Atsiri Jawa. The findings indicate that the collaborative packages—Day Experience and Cultural Wellness Journey—are able to create a holistic travel experience that combines music-history education, essential-oil exploration, wellness activities, and the internalization of Javanese cultural values. This collaboration contributes to strengthening Solo’s image as a cultural and wellness destination, increasing economic value added for the participating destinations, and preserving historical heritage and local wisdom. Nevertheless, challenges related to program sustainability, human resource capacity, and promotional intensity still require a more structured collaborative management strategy. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for developing sustainable collaborative tourism models in other destinations across Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Revenue Sharing Funds, Capital Expenditures, and Local Own-Source Revenues on Economic Growth. This study uses a quantitative approach utilizing panel data sourced from the Ministry of Finance and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analysis was conducted to assess the extent to which local fiscal variables contribute to economic growth dynamics in the Bakorwil 1 Madiun region. The results show that Revenue Sharing Funds have a significant positive effect on economic growth, indicating that an increase in the allocation of revenue sharing funds can boost regional economic activity. Meanwhile, capital expenditure has a significant negative effect on economic growth, suggesting that the effectiveness of capital expenditure is not yet optimal. Finally, Local Own-Source Revenue has been proven to have a significant positive effect, indicating that regional fiscal capacity through the utilization of local own-source revenue can strengthen economic growth. These findings emphasize the importance of effective regional fiscal management to support sustainable regional economic development.

Abstract

This study examines the role of occupational safety and occupational health in improving employee performance at CV. Auto Nusa Abadi Kupang. The research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, involving 68 employees as respondents. Occupational safety and occupational health serve as the independent variables, while employee performance acts as the dependent variable. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression to determine both partial and simultaneous effects. The results show that occupational safety significantly affects employee performance, and occupational health also has a significant effect. Simultaneously, both variables contribute to improving performance indicators, including work quality, productivity, responsibility, teamwork, and initiative. The study highlights the importance of implementing occupational safety and health programs as strategic efforts to enhance performance and create a secure, healthy, and productive work environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of income inequality, average length of schooling, and social assistance on poverty levels in the Gerbangkertosusila region during the period 2020–2024. This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analysis method used is panel data regression with a Fixed Effect Model (FEM) selected through the Chow Test and Hausman Test. The results show that average length of schooling has a significant and negative effect on poverty, indicating that increased access to and achievement in education can reduce the economic vulnerability of communities. In addition, social assistance has been shown to have a significant impact on reducing poverty, underscoring the importance of social protection programs as a means of improving the welfare of poor households. Conversely, income inequality does not have a significant effect on poverty, meaning that income inequality is not yet a dominant factor in changes to poverty levels in the region. These findings emphasize that strengthening the quality of education and optimizing the distribution of social assistance are key strategies for accelerating poverty reduction efforts in the Gerbangkertosusila region.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of inflation and economic growth on the open unemployment rate in Western Indonesia. The research method used is panel data analysis with a fixed regression model approach, which involves processing data from several provinces in the region during a certain period. The results of the analysis show that economic growth has a significant effect on reducing the unemployment rate, while inflation does not have a significant effect on unemployment in the study area. The interpretation of these results shows that increased economic activity can reduce unemployment, while fluctuations in inflation do not directly affect the unemployment rate substantially. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of strengthening economic growth as an effort to control unemployment, while the effect of inflation is relatively insignificant in the context of Western Indonesia.

Abstract

The development of information technology has transformed conventional sale and purchase transactions into electronic-based commerce through digital marketplaces, including Facebook Marketplace. This platform is widely used for motorcycle transactions due to its accessibility and broad market reach. However, the absence of identity verification systems and integrated payment mechanisms increases the risk of fraud causing consumer losses. This study aims to analyze the legal regulation of fraud in motorcycle transactions conducted through Facebook Marketplace and to examine the forms of legal protection provided to consumers. This research employs a normative legal method with statutory, conceptual, and case approaches. The findings indicate that fraudulent acts may be prosecuted under Article 378 of the Indonesian Criminal Code and Article 28 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 45A paragraph (1) of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law. Consumer protection remains predominantly repressive and has not been optimally implemented preventively. Strengthening regulations, enhancing platform responsibility, and increasing public legal awareness are necessary to ensure effective consumer protection.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of performance-based budgeting at the State Christian Institute (IAKN) Kupang in response to increasing demands for transparency and accountability in public financial management, particularly in religious higher education institutions. Although budget realization at IAKN Kupang is relatively high, the achievement of performance indicators remains suboptimal, indicating a gap between budget absorption and organizational outcomes. This study aims to analyze the extent of performance-based budgeting implementation and to identify the factors that support and hinder its effectiveness. A qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through interviews, documentation, and observation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. The findings indicate that performance-based budgeting has been implemented through participatory (bottom-up) planning and the use of digital systems. However, the implementation still emphasizes administrative compliance rather than outcome achievement. Supporting factors include leadership commitment, regulatory support, and the role of internal quality assurance units. In contrast, inhibiting factors consist of delays in fund disbursement, limited human resource competencies, weak coordination between units, the absence of Standard Operating Procedures and Key Performance Indicators, and difficulties in measuring non-physical program outcomes. Overall, the implementation of performance-based budgeting at IAKN Kupang remains in a transitional stage toward a results-oriented budgeting system, requiring improvements in capacity building, performance measurement, coordination, and fund disbursement mechanisms.
