Abstract

Previous studies have shown that the creativity of students who are prospective biology teacher is still low. Even though some efforts have been made, the level of creativity is still low and needs to be improved. This is important before the students become teachers in the community. This study thus aims to examine the effectiveness of the reflective learning model in improving the creativity of students who are prospective biology teachers. This is a literature review study that collect references from various sources, such as journals on Google Scholar, Science Direct, Mendeley and many more to answer the research question. The results showed that the reflective learning model can improve creativity; thus, it is recommended to be applied by lecturers in teaching students who are prospective biology teachers. Keywords: learning model, reflective learning, creativity ability, prospective biology teachers.

Abstract

Indominco Mandiri Ltd. is a private company engaged in coal mining and general trading. The permit process for the transportation of goods is a vital sub-process in supporting the organization's business activities. The transportation permit process employed by the Indominco Mandiri Ltd. is still the manual one. The present study aimed to develop a Transportation Permit Information System for the company. The rational unified process methodology was employed in the designing process, the system and user requirements, and the system design. The results obtained from working on specific practical work tasks are the business process model, software requirements specifications, and software design documents. The resulting software requirements documents and software design documents were produced based on IEEE Std 830 ™ -1998 (R2009) and IEEE Std 1016 ™ -2009. The business process modeling was used in the business process notation model. The system requirements were documentedin the software requirements specification based on the use case. The point of view used to design the software was the points of view of composition, logic, dependency, information, and interaction. The diagrammatic models to describe the points of view were a unified modeling language, relationalmodels, data dictionaries, and entity-relationship diagrams. Several processes needed in the transportation permit information system, namely managing form, managing account, validating the form, verifying the form, and managing the register. This research aids developers to develop information systems to suit the needs of the customers. Keywords: rational unified process, business process, software requirement specification, software design description, transportation permit

Abstract

This research aims to find out the influence of accounting information systems, internal supervision, and the completeness of tasks on the performance of employees in the Aceh Cultural and Tourism Office. The object of this research is all employees of the office of the Aceh Culture and Tourism Bureau, as many as 186 employees, 36 employees use Sloven technology to draw samples as the result. The sample used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. As a result of the research, the accounting information system, internal supervision, and completion of tasks simultaneously and partially affect the performance of employees at the Aceh Cultural and Tourism Office. The correlation coefficient (R) value of 0.595 shows that the correlation (relationship) between free variables and bound variables by 59.5% is that the performance of employees in the work of the Aceh Cultural and Tourism Office has a moderate and positive correlation with the system of accounting issues, internal supervision and task complement age of 87.6%. While the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.445, is that any changes in employee performance variables can be explained by changes in accounting information system variables, internal supervision, and task completeness of 0.445 or 44.five% and the remaining 55.five% explained by other variables beyond the origin of this study can affect employee performance such as leadership style, financial accounting system, internal control system, financial management, and others. Abstract

Echinoderms are marine animals which include sea cucumbers and starfish phylum. These animals can be found in almost every level of sea zonal depth; from the intertidal zone to the abyssal zone. This phylum contains about 7000 living species, making it the second-largest group after chordates. This study aims to determine the types of Echinoderms found in Drieng Leupung Beach. The parameters used were the types of Echinoderms found in Drieng Leupung Beach. The research was conducted using the line transect method with purposive sampling technique. The data were presented descriptively, and the results show that the beach location is home for 4 classes of Echinoderms; 8 species of Asteroidea class, 5 species of Holothuroidea class, 4 species from Echinoidea class, and 1 species from Ophiuroidea class, with a total of 17 species found.  Species of Crinoidea class was not found. The most common type of species found is from the Echinoidea class, namely Diadema Setosum. This is due to the environmental factors that are very supportive for the species to grow. One of which is the temperature factor, which is around 26o C-28o C, which is an ideal temperature for Diadema Setosum to breed. The availability of food is another influential factor.   Keywords: Identification, Echinodermata (Echinoderms), Drieng Beach

Abstract

The use of banana hump flour as a raw material for making biodegradable plastic is an alternative to using banana starch plastic in an effort to reduce plastic waste. Bananas contain 66% carbohydrates, protein, water and essential minerals . To get biodegradable plastic, starch is added along with CMC (carboxy methylcellulose), glycerol and citronella oil as anti-bacterial and antioxidant. In this research, a research was conducted on the manufacture of biodegradable plastic mixture of starch, carboxy methyl cellulose (CMC), glycerol as a plasticizer and citronella oil by modifying CMC, glycerol and citronella oil. This study includes two variables, namely fixed variables and variable variables. Fixed variables include starch concentration with water 1:5, stirring speed 100 rpm and starch gelatinization temperature 70oC, while variables including CMC concentration include levels (5.5; 6.5 ; and 7.5) % (w/w), Citronella oil concentrations included (15; 20; and 25) % (w/v), and glycerol concentrations included (25; 35; and 45)% (w/v). This study aims to determine the effect of adding CMC citronella oil and glycerol as a plasticizer to the mechanical properties, morphology, and biodegradability tests , as well as the antioxidant activity of the resulting plastic . The results of this study indicate that biodegradable plastic has a tensile strength value of 0.210.38 kgf/mm2; elongation value between 16.3-54.20%; Morphological examination showed that the surface of the plastic was smooth and the plastic completely decomposed in the soil within 27 days. Keywords: Biodegradable plastic, CMC, banana starch.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of blended learning on students' learning motivation at primary schools. The method used was descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The study was carried out by observing the blended learning process in the class without making changes to the observed class. The population in this study was all fourth graders, totaling 61 students. The research samples were all students of Class IVA, totaling 30 students. Blended learning was employed in this class. Questionnaires were distributed to the students who participated in blended learning to collect the research data. There were four indicators in the motivation questionnaire, namely persistence, tenacity in the face of difficulties, interest in learning, and confidence. The data from the questionnaires were then analyzed using a Likert scale. The results by the average indicator show that the student learning motivation is 94, which belongs to a very high category. The average value of each indicator is the persistence indicator scoring 97; the tenacity indicator in the face of difficulties is 90; the interest in learning indicator is 96; and the confidence indicator is 95. The results of the overall questionnaire analysis belong to the high category. Thus, it can be concluded that blended learning is effective in increasing the students' learning motivation at SDN 1 Lambheu, District of Aceh Besar. As blended learning provides opportunities for students to learn independently, the students can study anywhere and broaden their horizons by accessing the learning resources globally.
