Abstract

Madeung is one of the traditions of the people of Aceh, especially the people in the Samadua sub-district, in caring for post-partum mothers by abstaining from eating during the post-partum period. This abstinence from eating behavior has an impact on the mother's health, namely a lack of nutrition which results in slow healing of perineal wounds. This study aims to analyze the behavior of abstinence from eating madeung culture in healing perineal wounds in post-partum mothers in Samadua District. This study uses a design using a combination method or Mixed Methods with the Concurrent Embedded model. The sample of this research was 45 post-partum mothers using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using the chi square test. The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between food restrictions and perineal wound healing with a p-value of 0.001 with a 95% confidence interval. It can be concluded that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. The results of the qualitative analysis show that abstinence from eating, which is believed so far, can slow down the healing of perineal wounds because the mother lacks nutrition, which has an impact on the health of the mother and baby. Postpartum mothers are advised not to abstain from eating during the postpartum period because it can slow down the healing of perineal wounds and to health workers. especially village midwives to provide special assistance to postpartum mothers intensely and provide information related to dietary restrictions that are detrimental to health. Abstract

On the xyz application that is already running, it is a job vacancy portal. In this system there are has two users, as business accounts and job seekers. Where business accounts can post vacancies and job seekers can apply for vacancies. In this running system, when job seekers display the vacancies list, there is a list of the latest vacancies that have been posted by business people. The problem with the list of vacancies is that the list of vacancies that appear is still not in accordance with the wishes of the user as the job seeker account, thus reducing the interest in application users. There-fore, a job vacancy recommendation system is needed that can correct deficiencies in the list of vacancies that are displayed to users as job seekers. The purpose of this research to be able to pro-duce recommendations for suitable job vacancies. In this research, the authors use the content-based filtering method.   Keywords: Recommendation System, Machine Learning, Content-based Filtering

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a description of the scientific literacy ability of IPA (natural sciences) teachers. This study is descriptive research. Data was collected by distributing diagnostic test instruments distributed to 29 teachers who were selected as a sample of the total population of science teachers teaching at SMPN (public junior high school) throughout Banda Aceh. The test instrument used in the form of Four-Tier Multiple Choice questions as many as 24 items equipped with CRI confidence level scale along with the reasons for the answer choices. The scientific literacy competency aspect used is in accordance with the 2017 PISA determination which includes 3 aspects, namely the competence aspect to explain phenomena scientifically, the competence aspect to design and evaluate scientific investigations, and the competence aspect to interpret data and evidence scientifically. The results showed that the scientific literacy ability of science teachers at SMPN in Banda Aceh was in the medium category with a percentage of 48.48%. The ability based on competence to explain phenomena scientifically is in the medium category with a percentage of 46.55%, the competence to design and evaluate scientific investigations is in the medium category with a percentage of 61.64% and the competence to interpret data and evidence scientifically is in the medium category as well with a percentage of 37.24%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that science teachers at public junior high schools in Banda Aceh have moderate scientific literacy skills. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the description of students' mathematical communication skills in solving problems in set material, especially students' written mathematical communication skills. This type of research is descriptive using a qualitative approach. The research subjects were taken from class VII students of SMPN 1 Darul Hikmah. Subject taking was carried out by looking at the value of the report card which was then selected by 3 research subjects based on the existing categories. The instrument used is a written test of mathematical communication skills which contains 3 essay questions with set material and interview guidelines. The interview guide is aimed at subject teachers to find out whether students already know mathematical communication skills. Written mathematical communication skills contain 5 indicators. The results showed that the written mathematical communication skills of the research subjects were good for indicators of ability and in writing the information contained in the questions and determining the main goals to be achieved. However, the research subjects were weak in writing mathematical operations according to the intent of the questions using pictures or scientific notation in solving problems, presenting a comprehensive representation of the concepts used and writing conclusions about answers in everyday language. The results of this study are expected to gain and add insight into the written mathematical communication skills of students of SMP Negeri 1 Darul Hikmah, Aceh Jaya district, on set material, especially in mathematics. So that thus being able to improve the ability to communicate in the language of mathematics in solving problems of everyday life. Keywords: Mathematical Communication Skills, Solving Problems, Set Material

Abstract

This review article presents varied perspectives on teaching methods used in speaking classes. The aims of this study is to give insights on teaching methods that can be adopted, combined, or adapted in accordance with the actual condition of the classes. This information is considered to be important for English teachers, specifically, and for all language instructors and researchers, in general. There are 12 research articles being reviewed in this article under the topic of teaching methods in speaking. These articles were summarized to see the essentials being delivered, challenges presented, and further queries left unanswered which are beneficial for further research to be explored. The result shows that the most striking element in speaking classes is verbal oral expression. All teachers must encourage their students to speak. Later, it is psychological aspects (moods) and learning environment. Mostly, happy environment—not stiff and meticulous environment—brings more willingness for students to speak. Last, not giving them pressure on grammatical aspects is also a spur towards their motivation to speak. Keywords: Teaching Speaking, Learning Speaking, ELT Methods, and EFL Methods

Data collection techniques used are observations of activities carried out by society, interviews with society leaders, and documents. The data collection instruments are in the form of observation sheets, interview sheets, and document reviews. Furthermore, the research data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, namely the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the study show that the indigenous dishes of the Aceh Jaya people that are still being preserved include jruek drien (tempuyak durian), jruek kuini (tempuyak kuini), gule jruk engkot kerling (curry sour fish), Plik u, peuleumak oun murong ngon boh drien putik (coconout milk soup uses moringa leaves and young durian), peulemak or tumis daun pakis (coconut milk / sauteed fern leaves), daun pakis tekerabe (urap pakis). This research concludes that the typical cuisine of the Aceh Jaya society is the local wisdom of the society that can be included in learning chemistry, the chemical processes obtained in indigenous community dishes are the fermentation process, the mixture of substances, separation of mixtures, acids and bases, solutions and colloids. Abstract

Indonesia has many plants that have the potential as raw materials for medicines and cosmetics, one of which is Calophylluminophyllum which in Indonesian is called the Nyamplung plant. Nyamplung seeds have a high oil content of 73% and have the potential as a source of active compounds. In this study, we looked at the content of active compounds as antioxidants from Nyamplung seed oil produced from the press and press process with degumming. The resulting Nyamplung seed oil contains compounds from the phenolic and steroid groups. Component analysis showed that Nyamplung seed oil contained as many as 20-25 compounds with the highest content being cis-13-Octadecenoic acid, Octadecanoic acid, n-Hexadecanoic acid, cis-Vaccenic acid. Nyamplung seed oil has potential as a source of antioxidants because it has an IC50 value of 50 µg/mL, namely 41.37 µg/mL for oil from the press process and 46.59 µg/mL for oil from the press process with degumming. Keywords: Nyamplung Seed Oil, Extraction, Degumming, Antioxidants
