Abstract

This research aims to find out how much influence the variation in stimulus provided by Indonesian language subject teachers have on student learning activities in the Indonesian language learning process in the classroom. This research study was motivated by the low level of student learning activity when learning Indonesian in class, indicated by the existence of student who were lazy to answer the teacher’s questions directly, did not want to ask questions when they did not understand the material that had been explained and were lazy about reading books. This research uses a quantitave type of research, using ex post facto research methods. The population in this study was 85 people and one Indonesian language subject teacher. The sampling technique used is a saturated sample. Data collection techniques use interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The results of the research show that it has a significant effect on students’ learning activities in Indonesian language learning for class the conclusion of this research is that there is a significant influence or partially accepted Ha on student learning activities in learning Indonesian in class, namely that variations in teacher stimulus influence student learning activities in learning Indonesian in Class XII MIA 1 dan MIA 2 at SMA Negeri 9 Kota Kupang. So the role of the teacher is very important in implementing various variations of good and appropriate stimuli for the continuity of the learning process in the classroom, especially in Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

This paper discusses systematization and arbitrariness as characteristics of language as a means of communication in the life of a society as members of a speech community. The materials are based on secondary data collected through library research. The characteristics of systematization are concerned with the significances of language as a system because language has a set of rules as the frames of reference for a speech community when communicating with each other. The set of rules, as reflected in phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics, make the system of one language differ from those of other languages. The characteristics of arbitrariness are concerned with relationship of two poles of linguistic sign, involving forms or signifieds and meanings or signifiers, which are based on social conventions inherited from previous generations. The characteristics of arbitrariness are beneficial to the study of both linguistics and semiotics in which language is defined as a system of sign.

Abstract

This thesis written by Lidwina Mariana Topo with the title “The Ability to Convert Foklore Texts Into Drama Script by Class XI Language SMAN 1 Taebenu Baumata Kupang”. Supervisior by Dr. Marselus Robot, M.Si. and Dra. Karus M. Margareta, M.Pd. The main problem in this research is how is the ability of class XI Language SMAN 1 Taebenu Kupang Baumata Kupang students in converting folklore text into a drama script? The purpose of this research is to datermince the students’ ability in converting a folk tale text into a drama script. In this research, the reseacher conducted a performance test on students of class XI Language SMAN 1 Taebenu Baumata Kupang, as research subjects with a total of 19 research subjects.Reseachers will collect data which will then be analyzed based on the aspect of the assessment of drama script. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive, because the data collected will be analyzed as a category of words not numbers. The result showed: (1) Students skills in converting folklore texts into drama scripts There are 9 or 47% of students successful obtainingcompleteness when converting a drama script from a folk tale; (2) Then the average ability ofclass Language SMAN 1 Taebenu Baumata Kupang is 62,8. Thus, it can be concluded that theability to convert folklore texts into drama scripts in class Language SMAN 1 Taebenu Baumata Kupang is still in the poor category and still needs a lot of practice to be able to writw/convert, especially writing a drama script.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh terbatasnya referensi pembelajaran yang digunakan siswa Kelas XB SMA Negeri 5 Kupang dalam menulis pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa kelas XB SMA Negeri 5 Kupang dengan menggunakan bahan ajar interaktif berbasis Canva. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang melibatkan 36 siswa SMA Negeri 5 Kupang kelas XB tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan tes yang semuanya dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) hasil penilaian siswa meningkat dari siklus I ke siklus III yaitu masing-masing mencapai 75%, 90% dan 95% yang melampaui Kriteria Ketuntasan Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP) dengan nilai 88; (2) guru sudah menunjukkan peningkatan dalam membuat bahan ajar terbuka interaktif dengan menggunakan aplikasi Canva; dan (3) siswa memiliki respon positif ketika menggunakan bahan ajar interaktif karena lebih mudah dipahami. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) Hasil penilaian siswa meningkat dari siklus I ke siklus III yaitu 75%, 90%, 95% dan melampaui Kriteria Ketuntasan Sasaran Pembelajaran (KKTP) dengan nilai 88; (2) Telah terjadi peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar interaktif berbasis aplikasi Canva; (3) Siswa memberikan respon positif ketika menggunakan bahan ajar interaktif karena lebih mudah dipahami, menarik, serta dapat digunakan kapan saja dan dimana saja. Simpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu pengembangan bahan ajar interaktif berbasis Canva mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas XB SMA Negeri 5 Kupang tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to improve students' ability to learn and read through the use of the educational game media Wordwall in the XB class of SMA Negeri 5 Kupang. Initial observations show that the monotonous and non-interactive Indonesian language learning method causes students to be less interested and active. Classroom Action Research (CAR) was used, which consists of four phases: planning, implementation, evaluation, and reflection. The research was conducted in three cycles, and each cycle involved various efforts to improve the learning process. The research results showed that students improved their reading skills and their learning engagement after using Wordwall media. The results of observations and interviews show that students are more interested and involved in learning, and the formative assessment scores increase. Therefore, students at SMA Negeri 5 Kupang improve their reading and learning skills by using Wordwall media. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to analyze the application of experiential learning approaches to the learning outcomes of students in Indonesian language subjects with the material of writing narrative texts. This research was carried out in XII grade Bin 1st Kupang State High School in the 2023/2024 academic year. Experiential learning approach is chosen as the primary learning approach in an effort to enhance the active involvement of pupils; Experiencial learning requires pupils to be actively involved in the learning process through practical activities and hands-on experiences. In the context of writing narrative texts, learners can directly practice writing stories based on their own experience or through simulation. Developing Creativity and Imagination; Writing narrative texts requires high imagination and creativity. This research uses a qualitative approach to the design of class action research. Data is collected through observations, interviews, and analysis of learners' learning outcomes before and after applying the experiential learning approach. The results of the study show that the application of experiential learning approaches is effective in improving the understanding of the students. In conclusion, experiential learning approach to writing narrative text materials can improve the learning outcomes of students of class XII BState High School 1 Kupang, demonstrated the presentation of I cycle accuracy of 74% increased to 91% with very good category and excellent qualification . This approach encourages active participation, deeper understanding, and development of relevant thinking skills. The recommendation for further research is to involve a wider sample and take into account other factors that may affect the learning outcome of the student. Keywords: Learning outcomes, Expereintial Learning, Writing narrative texts ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Menganalisis Penerapan pendekatan Experiential learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Bahasa indonesia dengan materi menulis teks narasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas XII B di SMA Negeri 1 Kupang pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Pendekatan Experiential learning dipilih sebagai pendekatan pembelajaran utama dalam upaya Meningkatkan keterampilan menulis, Keterlibatan Aktif Peserta Didik; Experiential learning menuntut peserta didik untuk aktif terlibat dalam proses belajar melalui kegiatan praktis dan pengalaman langsung. Dalam konteks menulis teks narasi, peserta didik bisa langsung berlatih menulis cerita berdasarkan pengalaman mereka sendiri atau melalui simulasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain penelitian tindakan kelas. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis hasil belajar peserta didik sebelum dan setelah penerapan pendekatan experiential learning. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan experiential learning efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik. Hasil belajar peserta didik mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan setelah penerapan pendekatan experiential learning pada materi menulis teks narasi dengan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XII B SMA Negeri 1 Kupang, terbukti presentase ketuntasan siklus I sebesar 74% meningkat menjadi 91% dengan kategori baik sekali dan kualifikasi tuntas (berhasil). Pendekatan ini mendorong partisipasi aktif, pemahaman yang lebih mendalam, dan pengembangan keterampilan berpikir yang relevan. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah melibatkan sampel yang lebih luas dan memperhatikan faktor-faktor lain yang mungkin memengaruhi hasil belajar peserta didik. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of carying out this research is to evaluate the increase in participants' understanding in class XI E of SMA Negeri 1 Kupang by using Wordwall as an interactive learning medium. This classroom action research consists of two cycles which include four main stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The findings of this research are as follows: a) In cycle I, the use of the Wordwall application shows that the majority of students have not reached the standard of completeness in learning. The average learning outcome value reaches 75% with a classical completion level of 60%. b) In cycle II, there was an increase in student activity where 33 students showed active participation in the learning process with an average score of 90%, which was categorized as a very good classical level. In addition, 33 other students achieved average scores of 85% and 90%. In answering questions on Wordwall, students also showed a good level of activeness with an average score of 75%, involving 28 students. Thus, the implementation of Wordwall is able to increase students' interest in learning, especially in understanding scientific work material in Class XI E of SMA Negeri 1 Kupang Keywords: Wordwall, Learning Media, Increasing Understanding, Classroom Action Research

Abstract

By using the Kemmis and Taggart model, this research aims to find out how much influence the use of the Talking Stick learning method has on the speaking skills of Class X G students at SMA Negeri 5 Kupang. Classroom action research consists of 4 phases, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research was conducted on 36 Class X G students at SMA Negeri 5 Kupang. All data is collected through interviews, written tests, and observations. The research results showed a significant increase in identifying themes and atmosphere in poetry after using the Talking Stick method. In the initial condition, students' speaking skills were ≤50%, cycle 1 activities reached an average of 55% with an increase of 5%. Therefore, researchers made improvements to cycle 2 activities reaching an average of 85%. Based on the comparison table of learning results, it shows that there was an increase after carrying out cycle 1 activities, resulting in Classical Learning Completeness (KBK) of 62%. Therefore, the researchers made improvements to cycle 2 activities to obtain Classical Learning Completeness (KBK) of 100% with an increase of 38% from cycle 2. The increase in learning outcomes was influenced by the use of the Talking Stick method which is very suitable for application in Indonesian Language Subjects. so that it is easy to understand the material and can improve speaking skills, create activity in the intellectual aspects, attitudes and motor skills of students. Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to improve learning outcomes of Class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Kupang through the application of differentiated product learning. This approach was chosen because it is centered on the students' needs. In the context of student diversity, this study focuses on adapting learning interests to the characteristics of news writing materials. The news writing element is integrated into Bloom's taxonomy at the C6 (creating) level, allowing students to have the freedom to choose the news product they want to produce according to their individual interests. The classroom action research was conducted in two cycles with the same approach, namely Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT). Although the approach was the same in both cycles, in Cycle I, students were only given the opportunity to write news texts as the product to be produced. In Cycle II, students were given the freedom to choose various forms of news products according to their individual interests. The analysis results show a significant increase in student learning outcomes, with an average score increase from Cycle I (73.42) to Cycle II (90.57), and all students achieved a classical completeness level of 100% in Cycle II. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of professional development to support teachers in effectively applying differentiated product strategies, as well as continuity in improving the quality of sustainable learning in the future. Abstract

Abstract This research aims to improve the speaking skills of class X students through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The focus of the problems that occur in learning Indonesian at SMAN 3 Kupang is the lack of interest and active participation of students, which causes learning outcomes below the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). This research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method with two cycles, including planning, action, observation and reflection stages. In cycle I, learning results showed an average score of 71.67 with classical completeness of 50%, where only 18 out of 36 students achieved a score ≥75. After improvements in cycle II, the average score increased to 90 with classical completeness of 92%, where 33 out of 36 students achieved a score ≥75. This increase shows that the implementation of PBL is effective in improving students' speaking skills. Students' active participation and involvement in the learning process also increased significantly. This research concludes that the Problem Based Learning model assisted by LKPD can improve Indonesian language learning outcomes and speaking skills for class X students at SMAN 3 Kupang.
