Abstract

Abstract This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) that consists of planning, action, observation, evaluation, and reflection. The research was conducted in two cycles, with 2 meetings per cycle. The main focus of this research is the application of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) learning method, which was implemented in a group setting. Quantitative LKPD analysis was used in this research. The results show that 84% (30 students) in Cycle I and 100% (36 students) in Cycle II demonstrated improvement in Indonesian language learning using the TaRL approach. Therefore, it can be concluded that the effective learning rate with the TaRL approach can be applied in Class X B of SMAN 3 Kupang. Keywords: TaRL (Teaching at the Right Level), Writing Ability, and Indonesian Language Learning Abstrak Metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini mencakup perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, evaluasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, dengan 2 pertemuan per siklus. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah penerapan metode pembelajaran pada Teaching at the Tight Level (TaRL) yang dilaksanakan dalam bentuk kelompok. Dalam penelitian ini, analisis LKPD kuantitatif digunakan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa 84% (30 peserta didik) pada siklus I dan 100% (36 peserta didik) pada siklus II menunjukkan peningkatan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia oleh pendekatan TaRL. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat pembelajaran yang tepat dengan pendekatan TaRL dapat diterapkan di kelas X B SMAN 3 Kupang. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to 1) use envelope media to enhance reading interest in learning Indonesian, 2) evidence using envelopes media can stimulate student reading interest. This research is Research Action Class at SMAN 3 Kupang, class XA semester 1 year lesson 2023/2024 carried out from September 2023 s.d February 2024. Data collection techniques used are in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use critical analysis and interactive analysis. The results of the study showed that the lowest scores in cycle I were the minimum 65, the highest 85, the average 72, the number of students who graduated 23 and who were not 13. In cycle II, the minimum scores were 68, the maximum 92, the average was 78, students who were graduated 33 and who had not had three children. Based on the results of the use of this envelope media, it can be said that learning with this strategy should be developed and implemented in the process of learning Indonesian language, in particular in improving student reading skills. Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to improve students' ability to write in class using a Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach with the help of Wordwall media. The CRT approach is a learning method used to appreciate and respect the diversity of students. Wherever, this approach will increase the effectiveness of writing poetry in the learning process. The method used in this research is called Classroom Action Research (PTK), which was carried out over two semesters of lectures. This research consists of four stages: preparation, action, evaluation, and reflection. The object of the research was 36 students in class X E of SMA Negeri 5 Kupang. The data collection methods used are observation and checking learning tasks. Qualitative descriptive analysis was used in collecting research data. The results of this research were obtained by applying the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach. Keywords: Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT), Writing poetry, and Wordwall.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe distance learning and the difficulties faced by PPG participants in positions, lecturers and tutors that allow learning loss to occur. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study found that the main form of learning loss found in students participating in PPG In Position was the form of learning loss that occurred when students felt ineffective in lectures compared to face-to-face in class. Most of the network constraints experienced by participants from the district and city areas in NTT will disrupt activities and the delivery of information received will not be optimal. PPG participants were still involved in teaching during PPG implementation. it was found next that it was difficult for the participants to understand and operate the internet and the material presented. Methods and solutions applied by PPG participants in their positions, tutor teachers and lecturers to improve concentration and effectiveness of learning properly include designing lessons/lectures well and varying according to the ability of PPG participants to access the internet. Pamomg teachers, lecturers and PPG participants communicate regularly about the obstacles encountered during online learning. The hybrid learning model is a combination of bold and alluring. Doing another approach model if PPG participants experience very limited internet communication

Abstract

The elections for governor/deputy governor, regent/deputy regent, mayor/deputy mayor will take place on November 27. The candidates who are fighting and competing continue to carry out various approaches and activities to convince the public to vote for them. One way they get closer to the community is by conveying messages and information through billboards. An approach using this tool seems to be more effective in conveying the characters and their thoughts to the public. This approach is also considered cheaper compared to other approaches.

Abstract

Civic literacy is the initial ability of every citizen in developing knowledge, skills and attitudes. The purpose of this writing is to find out the strengthening of civic literacy as a strategy in developing civic knowledge. The method in writing this scientific paper is the literature review method. The results of this study found that literacy as the initial ability of citizens has an important role in developing knowledge, skills and attitudes. This research specifically examines literacy as a strategy in developing civic knowledge. Citizens have the initial ability of literacy in order to become smart citizens and be able to develop their rights and obligations as citizens.

Abstract

Bahasa membedakan manusia dari binatang, sedangkan komunikasi memberi ciri manusia sebagai makluk sosial. Dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan yang membangun budaya manusia, komunikasi menjadi hal yang sangat menentukan bagi terciptanya manusia sebagai makluk berbudaya. Dengan kata lain, komunikasi tidak hanya membangun citra manusia sebagai makluk sosial tetapi juga untuk membangun budaya, mentrasfer budaya, dan mempertahankan budaya.

Abstract

The Helong language is currently experiencing degradation and is even threatened with extinction. The decrease in speakers, the existence of alternative language choices, and the increase in tourism are the causes of the problem of language resistance towards the Helong language. This research aims to bring up a vocabulary of cultural elements in translation which can be a solution in efforts to maintain the Helong language through folklore as a medium for transmitting the language. The translation process uses the SL-Emphasis Strategy (Nemark's V-Diagram Model) and the Newmark cultural content translation procedure as a form of translation based on foreignization ideology. A qualitative approach using the content analysis method was used to explore various in-depth information related to folklore speech, the meaning of cultural vocabulary, and the translation of the Helong language through traditional figures and various cultural literature as supporting input for the research. The results of this research lead to the ideology of alienation in the translation of five folk tales of the Helong community which contain elements of ecological culture, material culture, social culture, social organization, kial and customs which give rise to 74 vocabulary elements of the source language culture (Helong Language) in 92 sentences of the target language (Indonesian).

Abstract

The focus of this research is "Increasing learning motivation and collaboration in groups using wordwall media". The aim of this research is to find out and describe how to increase learning motivation and collaboration in groups using wordwall media. This research was carried out in class XI-7 of SMA Negeri 2 Kupang for 3 cycles. In initial observations, researchers used text media in the form of Student Worksheets which were carried out by students with group members of 5-6 people, but during the discussion the students were less active in the group. Based on this problem, researchers applied wordwall media in learning. Wordwall is an interactive learning media that teachers can use. In Cycle 1, researchers used a random wheel wordwall, students were formed into groups with 4 members. Together with their group they will spin the random wheel until the wheel stops and a question will appear which will be answered directly. Then in cycle 2 the wordwall used was to open the box, where students and their groups took the quiz provided with 10 numbers and the results were visible, students had started to be active and had even started to collaborate with each other in determining the correct answer. Then in cycle 3, namely the word wall searching for words, the students were very active and even divided the task to each group member to find the word they were looking for. The use of wordwall media in this learning produces good and satisfying learning results. This can be seen directly as a reflection of the learning experience and can be proven by the presentation results of students who completed the percentage at 75%, and the percentage of students who did not complete it at 25%.

Abstract

Student management is an important aspect in creating an effective learning environment in elementary schools. This article aims to discuss the concept, implementation and optimization strategy for student management in elementary schools. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this article reviews the planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating student management, as well as the challenges faced. The conclusion of this article emphasizes the importance of collaboration between schools, parents and the community in realizing holistic educational goals.
