Abstract

HIV is still a major health problem, due to its increasing prevalence. To prevent it, many things can be done, one of which is the use of condoms. However, often the use of condoms is something that is often neglected so condoms are often inconsistent. The results of the study show that there is a significant relationship between marital status and the consistency of condom use. Married respondents tend to consistently use condoms. This is because married couples with status as PLWHA will pay more attention to safety in intercourse. After all, they realize that having intercourse without using a condom will worsen the partner's health condition. the significant relationship between marital status and consistency condoms

Hospital-acquired infections, otherwise known as nosocomial infections. To prevent nosocomial infections, a guideline is needed that aims to reduce the incidence of these infections, one of which is the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This study aims to determine the relationship between the determinants of the use of Personal Protective Equipment and to determine the effectiveness and workload of using PPE felt by workers at the Bandar Negara Husada Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic. The design of this research is Crosssectional. The sample is 79 people. Data analysis used Chi-Square test and multiple logistic regression. The results of statistical analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between compliance with PPE use and knowledge (P=0.000), compliance with PPE use and availability (P= 0.018), compliance with PPE use with training (0.037) and compliance with PPE use with supervision (P= 0.000). Based on the multiple logistic regression test, it was found that the most dominant variable related to compliance with the use of PPE is knowledge (OR = 0.035) which means that officers with good knowledge of PPE are 0.35 times more obedient in using PPE than officers with poor knowledge.

Abstract

The neonatal period is the period most at risk for survival. Neonatal deaths occupy the highest proportion that occur in newborns in the world. This is caused by several factors including mother's age, mother's education, parity, LBW, ANC services. The aim is to determine the risk factors associated with neonatal death at RSIA Pertiwi Makassar. The research design is an analytic survey research using a cross-sectional study approach with a statistical chi-square test with a significant ? = 0.05. Total of 57 respondents with purposive sampling technique. Data collection uses an observation sheet. Data processing using a computer program presented in the form of tables and narratives. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between maternal age and neonatal death with a p value = 0.021 > ?=0.05, there is a relationship between maternal education and neonatal death with a p value = 0.001 <?= 0.05 and there is a relationship between parity factors with neonatal death with p value = 0.000 <?=0.05, The conclusion of this study shows that there is a relationship between age, education and maternal parity with the risk of neonatal death. It is recommended for health workers to provide counseling to pregnant women and expectant mothers which is focused on low maternal education and the need to improve family planning methods (KB) so that the number of parities can be reduced.
