Tujuannya adalah sebagai wahana publikasi ilmiah berupa hasil penelitian, pengembangan teori, eksperimen, dan tinjauan pustaka. Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of inner conflict felt by the character Ares, the causes of the inner conflict, and the way the character of Ares overcomes the conflict in the novel That Summer Breeze by Orizuka. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The results of the study show that the most dominating forms of inner conflict in the character Ares are avoidance-avoidance conflicts as much as six data. In the research on the causes of inner conflict, the most dominating causes are driving forces and restraining forces as much as three data each. Meanwhile, Ares way of resolving conflicts is dominated by moving against other people.

Abstract

The problem discussed in this study is a negative politeness strategy. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method because it aims to describe and classify various negative politeness strategies in the KompasTV YouTube video about the talk show "Why Batak People Become Lawyers" in the series "The Interview with Tukul Eps 2 Part 5 ". The results of this study are the first. The negative politeness strategy "minimise the imposition (reduce the power or threat to the face of the interlocutor)" namely "please please from Bang Ruhut first, please", second. A negative politeness strategy by showing a pessimistic attitude is to make sure, third. The negative politeness strategy "question, hedge (using the form of a question with a certain particle)" namely the word 'continue', fourth. The negative politeness strategy "give deference (pay respect)" is at the beginning of the sentence using the word 'agree', where this sentence pays respect with approval to the speech partner/first guest star (Ruhut), fifth. The negative politeness strategy "go on record as incurring a debt, or as not indebting (states clearly that the speaker has given kindness/debt)" which is at the end of the sentence giving a gift.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the discovery learning paradigm affects the ability to write essays for class XI students of SMA Negeri 9 Padang. The methodology used in this research is explorative. One group participated in the pretest-posttest design selected for this investigation. The sample of this research was F4 class students of SMA Negeri 9 Padang, which consisted of 36 students. The educational tool consists of several sections, such as training modules, workbooks specifically designed to help students improve their essay writing skills, and performance tests to measure students' specific essay writing skills. By using the SPSS 25 for Windows program, data analysis was carried out to find out how the discovery learning paradigm influences student learning outcomes. This distribution is in accordance with the normal distribution, according to the findings of the normality test performed on the pretest data. The average value is calculated to be 60.94, and this result is based on the fact that the significance value (0.078 0.05) is greater than a predetermined threshold. The findings of the posttest data normality test confirm that the distribution is normal. The mean value of 77.77 and a significance level of 0.094, which is higher than the intended cutoff of 0.05, indicates this. The results of the significance test showed that the application of the discovery learning strategy had a statistically significant effect on the ability of class XI students of SMA Negeri 9 Padang in composing essays. This conclusion is reached using a significance level of 0.05 (p 0.05). Thus, it can be stated that the use of discovery learning methodology in eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 9 Padang has a significant effect on their writing ability.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that poetry is one of the most popular forms of literary works presented in beautiful and imaginative language. Even poetry is considered as a series of words that describe the feelings of the author. Furthermore, the frequent use of repetition in poetry written by poets. This type of research is qualitative research. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis method. The data collection technique used in this study uses the listening method with note taking techniques. The results of the study found a form of epizeuksis repetition in the poetry collection Jalan To Rumahmu which can be seen in various poetry titles including “Di Sini”, “Lagu Fajar”, “Corso Garibaldi 138, “Senza Titolo”, “Disebuah Basilica, Assisi”, “Di Negeri Air”,“Menanti Kelahiran”, “Cerita Buat Imana Tahira”, “Montmarte”, and “Buat Malika Hamoudi”.

Abstract

Learning news texts is one of the compulsory learning that students need to master. There are various factors that can affect the success of learning news texts. One of them is the use of learning media. This research and development aims to (1) develop BeBa (Belajar Berita) learning media in the material identifying elements of news texts for grade VIII students of SMPN 2 Sumbergempol, (2) testing the feasibility of BeBa (Belajar Berita) learning media in the material identifying elements of news texts for grade VIII students of SMPN 2 Sumbergempol. The ADDIE model is used in research and development of Beba learning media. There are two types of data obtained in this study. Qualitative data is obtained from interviews and comments or suggestions for improvement from students and validators. Quantitative data was obtained from the results of needs analysis questionnaires, material validator assessments, media validators, teacher practitioners, and student responses. The results of material validation by material experts obtained a percentage of 93.33% with the category "very feasible", the results of validation by media experts obtained a percentage of 96.88% with the category "very feasible", and the results of teacher assessment Indonesian obtained a percentage of 100% with the category "very feasible". The trials in this study were conducted twice, namely small group trials with 10 students obtaining a percentage of 98.45% with the category "very feasible" and large group trials with 25 students obtaining a percentage of 95.7% with the category "very feasible". Based on these results, the BeBa (Belajar Berita) learning media that has been developed has been tested for feasibility and is ready to be implemented in learning Indonesian class VIII news text materials.

Abstract

The decline in morale that occurs in the next generation of the nation is increasing. Character education can be done by anyone, one of which is an Indonesian teacher. The Indonesian teacher has the task of shaping the character of students because basically the Indonesian teacher has a role in the development of student communication. Thus, it is necessary to make efforts to instill character education in students by Indonesian teachers. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the efforts made by Indonesian teachers in shaping the character of students at MTsN 5 Blitar are carried out in four ways, namely through learning activities, exemplary activities, strengthening activities, and habituation activities. The obstacles faced by Indonesian teachers in instilling character education come from environmental influences and come from students themselves. And alternative solutions used by Indonesian teachers at MTsN 5 Blitar are teachers synergizing with all madrasah and family parties, strengthening school culture, teachers always giving moral messages.

Abstract

This research analyzes the portait of poverty depicted in three short stories of Utuy Tatang Sontani: “Palu and Paku, “Usaha Samad”, and “Si Sapar”. The focus of this research is social conflict, injustice, and the interaction between the characters in the context of poverty. The short story “Palu and Paku” tells about the life of a pedicab driver who faces a challenge to maintain his dignity in the midst of difficult economic conditions. “Samad’s Effort” tells the story of the persistence and struggle of a street vendor trying to escape poverty. And in “Si Sapar”, Utuy talks about the poverty of street children and how poverty can affect a person’s life from an early age. This research deeply discusses the depiction of poverty in Utuy Tatang Sontani’s literary works and how literature functions as a social reflection that reflects social reality. The findings in this study are expected to contribute to the development of literary sociology and raise awareness of social issues in literature and society in general, especially regarding poverty.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Analysis of Syntactic Material in Textbook Material at SDN 03 Cempaka Putih Grades 1-3." Many people do not know that syntactic material has also been studied since elementary school, therefore the researcher decided to conduct this research. The purpose of this research is to find out what material is related to syntax in class 1-3 textbooks at SDN 03 Cempaka Putih. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique was carried out through observation by borrowing textbooks from grade 1-3 teachers at SDN 03 Cempaka Putih and carrying out reading, listening and note-taking techniques. The subject of this study is the syntactic material contained in the textbooks used at SDN 03 Cempaka Putih grades 1-3. The results showed that of the 17 textbooks used at SDN 03 Cempaka Putih grades 1-3, there were 9 materials related to syntax. The material found in the textbooks used at SDN 03 Cempaka Putih grades 1-3, namely words and sentences.

Abstract

Promotion of Malay gastronomy is an important aspect in introducing the richness of Indonesian culture to the world. In order to promote Malay culinary delights, poetry is used as a means of expression that combines the beauty of diction with the deliciousness of food. Poetry, as a form of literature, is able to evoke images, sensations and deep feelings in the souls of its readers. In this case, poetry becomes a powerful tool to describe the taste, uniqueness and history of Malay gastronomy. Promotion of Malay gastronomy in the form of poetry can also revive stories related to traditional Malay food. In poetry, legends about the origins of food or stories about typical Malay spices can be presented with strong imagination, thereby helping to enrich the reader's understanding of the history and cultural context of the food. The Riau Sastra.com portal has an important role as a medium for publishing Malay gastronomic poetry. Through this platform, poetry writers can share their works on Malay culinary themes, and readers can enjoy the beauty of poetry while expanding their knowledge of Malay culture. In conclusion, using poetry as a promotional tool for Malay gastronomy on the Riau Sastra.com Portal can be an effective way to introduce the uniqueness and deliciousness of Malay culinary delights to a wider audience. Poetry has the power to bring stories to life, describe flavors, and arouse curiosity, making it an ideal vehicle for broadening appreciation of Indonesia's culinary heritage.

Abstract

Between Islam and Arab Culture: Analysis of the Bilingualisme Phenomenon in the Film Series "Arab Maklum" aims to analyze and describe the values of Islam and Arabic culture which are conveyed indirectly using Indonesian and Arabic or what is usually called bilingualisme which is expected to have a positive impact on public. The method used in the research is a qualitative method so that it can convey implied meanings to readers easily, because the data is presented using descriptions and interpretations, not statistics. The results of the research show that there are several Islamic values and Arabic culture in the Film Series Arab Maklum which are conveyed implicitly using bilingualisme, Indonesian and Arabic.
