Tujuannya adalah sebagai wahana publikasi ilmiah berupa hasil penelitian, pengembangan teori, eksperimen, dan tinjauan pustaka. Abstract

Newspaper is one of the print media that is used to obtain various kinds of information. Information that can be conveyed must use the Indonesian language which is easy to understand and in accordance with the rules of the Indonesian language properly and correctly. This study aims to collect data and information about the grammatical cohesion of pronouns in the editor of the bow riau newspaper. The collected data and information will be described, analyzed, and researched in detail and systematically so that the actual situation regarding grammatical cohesion in the editorial section of the Riau newspaper can be identified. The data of this study are words or phrases that have grammatical cohesion in Riau's bow newspapers. To find data in newspapers, you need to be careful and every problem in newspapers only gets. Based on the analysis of the data presented, it can be concluded that grammatical cohesion in the editorials of the Haluan Riau newspaper, namely, grammatical cohesion in the editorials of the Riau Haluan newspaper in the December 2020 and January 2021 editions uses many pronouns which include personal pronouns, demonstrative pronouns , possessive pronouns, questioning pronouns, connecting pronouns, and indefinite pronouns.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the percentage of the cognitive level of Bloom's Taxonomy in the even semester final exam questions for class X Indonesian at SMKN 2 Pekanbaru with a total of 50 multiple choice questions. This type of research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, in which the results of the research will be described, analyzed, interpreted, and concluded. Data collection techniques used are documentation techniques, and hermeneutic. The data analysis technique used is content analysis. The results showed that the percentage for level 1 (knowledge and understanding) or LOTS percentage found was 56% with the cognitive remembering (C1) category of 16%, and understanding (C2) of 40%. Furthermore, level 2 (application) or MOTS percentage found is 6% with the cognitive category of applying (C3) of 6%. While level 3 (application) or HOTS percentage found was 38% with the category of cognitive analyzing (C4) of 36%, evaluating (C5) of 2%, but no level questions were found in the cognitive category of creating (C6).

Abstract

The use of good and correct language can be done by avoiding the use of impolite language. This is done so that the words spoken do not offend others. For this reason, the problem in this study is how is the form of euphemism in discourse in online news riau pos.com? This term is called euphemism. Refinement of the meaning of words is a common phenomenon in society. The research method used by the author is descriptive (to describe or describe existing phenomena). Data collection techniques are documentation techniques and hermeneutic techniques. Data analysis techniques used are collection, grouping based on groups, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research data in this writing are that the most forms of euphemisms in discourse in the Riau Pos.com newspaper are euphemisms using abbreviations, namely 10, euphemisms for using foreign terms as many as 7, metaphorical euphemisms as many as 11. So it can be concluded that euphemisms avoid meaning ambiguous. Loudness is often found, because the media uses euphemisms for things that are more polite to convey and also avoid things that are not desirable.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the forms of mimicry and subaltrends in the novel Air Mata Api by P.A. Redjalam. Mimicry forms and subaltrends can be described using views from Homi.K. Bhabha and Gayatri Spivak as the scalpel. The data of this research were processed by the stages of identification, classification, analysis, and interpretation as well as a description of the findings. The objects of this study are words, phrases, clauses, sentences and paragraphs that contain mimicry and subaltrend forms. The results of this study indicate that, first, mimicry in the novel Air Mata Api by P.A.Redjalam is found in the forms of thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors that use imitation by the colonized to be able to feel that they have power and are in a higher position than the colonized. other. The two forms of subaltrance found in the novel Air Mata Api by P.A. Redjalam are found in the form of physical and psychological violence perpetrated by the colonized. The physical and psychological violence that was carried out by the colonized was oppression, namely by hitting, kicking, choking and sexually abusing women which made the terjah feel that, by carrying out this oppression, the colonized felt that they had power.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe, analyze, and interpret in detail so that you can get a true reflection of the comparative language style and meaning in the Whispering Angel novel. This research method is descriptive method. This research uses a qualitative approach. The data source for this research is the novel Whispering Angel by Asma Nadia in 2020. This type of research is library research. The data collection method of this research is documentation and hermeneutic methods. The information studied was documented by reading, noting, and drawing conclusions and classified according to the type according to the theory used. The language styles in the novel Whispering Angel by Asma Nadia include comparative language styles: metaphor, hyperbole, smile, personification, anatonomasia, epithet, tropen, periphrasis, euphemism, synesthesia, dysphemism, allusion and metonomia. The style of language in the novel Whispering Angel by Asma Nadia is reflected in the choice of words as a factor of beauty, so that the reader can illustrate what the characters are experiencing in the novel. There are several meanings in the novel Whispering Angel by Asma Nadia, including: denotative and connotative meanings.

Abstract

The development of mass media in Indonesia today can be said to be very rapid. This can be seen from the emergence of various kinds of media, both print and electronic, that are developing in the midst of society. The media as a source of information must present information clearly. Clear in this case is clear in the news information and clear in the use of language. In line with this opinion. This study aims to determine the use of terms in news published on the UAD website. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The subject of this research is the use of terms used in the news on the UAD website. The data collection method used is the Simak, Gratis, Liba, Cakap (SBLC) method. There are two formulations that will be answered in this research; (1) how are the terms used in the UAD website; (2) What are the factors that cause the emergence of the term. This research produces written data. The results of the study show that there are 136 types of words with a total of 136 data, each consisting of 92 general term data and 44 special term data. Related to the factor of the use of terms, there are 116 accuracy data, 18 summary data and 2 data according to linguistic conventions. The dominant term factor used is the accuracy factor.

Abstract

This research uses an experimental research method, and the product developed in this study is a textbook for reading instruction that incorporates Malay Riau folklore stories. The aim of the study is to enhance students' understanding of the subject matter being taught and improve their learning outcomes. The data analysis results indicate that the reading instructional textbook containing Malay Riau folklore stories is effective in improving students' learning outcomes. The data analysis results demonstrate that the textbook has a significance level smaller than 0.05, which means that the book significantly influences students' learning outcomes. The posttest results in the experimental group show higher average scores compared to the control group. Hypothesis testing also indicates a significant difference between the posttest results of the experimental and control groups. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the reading instructional textbook incorporating Malay Riau folklore stories is effective.

Abstract

This research aims to apply the phenomenological and psychosocial approaches in analyzing the main character in "L’Enfance d’un Chef" by Jean-Paul Sartre. In this study, the author uses a qualitative descriptive method to explore the subjective experience of the character and the concept of freedom in the literary work. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of human experience in their social environment through a phenomenological approach in literature. The study starts with identifying the background and context of the literary work and exploring the theories related to this research, including phenomenology and psychosocial theory. The author applies phenomenological and psychosocial approaches to analyze the main character and understand his subjective experience. The results show that the main character, Lucien, has a complex and interrelated subjective experience with his social environment. Phenomenological analysis helps the author understand how Lucien perceives and gives meaning to his life experience, while psychosocial analysis helps the author understand the social and psychological factors that influence Lucien's life experience. The conclusion of this study is that the phenomenological and psychosocial approaches can be used to analyze characters in literature and can provide a deeper understanding of the subjective experience of humans in their social environment

Abstract

Online learning is a learning process that is carried out remotely without face to face but through internet media. Google Classroom is an Internet medium that can be used during courses, such as to send materials, discuss online, and to be able to create, deliver and edit assignments without using paper. Google Classroom facilities are implemented in the Nursing English course. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive method with percentage data analysis. The research tool used a questionnaire with research subjects namely nursing students who were taking basic English courses in Nursing. The results show that 50% of respondents are satisfied with the display available in the Google Classroom application. 70% of respondents are satisfied with the efficiency of using Google Classroom. Regarding ease of use, 56% of respondents were satisfied with the ease of use of this vehicle. The next factor that was also agreed upon was that 60% of respondents were satisfied with learning English using Google Classroom.

Abstract

The background of this research is that there are still many students who have ability scores below the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) 75 set by the school, so that learning success has not been achieved for 85% of students. The method used in the descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Research data was collected by observation and test techniques. Analysis of research data using descriptive statistics in the form of percentages and categorization. The results showed that: (1) the ability of class VIII students of SMPN 35 Pekanbaru in understanding advertising text material was achieved at an average of 80.86% or in the good category. However, learning mastery was not successful, because it was only achieved in 68.57% of students, or still below the success of 85%; (2) the ability of class VIII students of SMPN 35 Pekanbaru in understanding slogan text material was achieved at an average of 78.00% or in the good category. However, learning mastery was not successful, because it was only achieved in 62.86% of students, or still below the success of 85%; and (3) the ability of class VIII students of SMPN 35 Pekanbaru in understanding the poster text material was achieved at an average of 80.57% or in the good category. However, learning completeness has not been successful, because it is only achieved in 60.00% of students, or is still below the success of 85%.
