Abstract

This research aims to describe the phenomenon of word processing which has socio-cultural meaning. This type of research is qualitative research. Qualitative research is research used to obtain more in-depth data, namely data that contains meaning. The meaning in question is the actual data in the form of words, sentences and discourse. The data in this research are words, phrases, sentences written by social media users which imply socio-cultural meaning. Data collection techniques in this research are library techniques and note-taking techniques. Library technique is a data collection technique by examining books and journal articles that are related to the problem being solved. The note technique is a technique for noting several forms that are relevant for research on written language use. The data analysis technique in research is descriptive analysis through the steps of identifying data, classifying data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. As a result of this research, the researcher found five examples of socio-cultural words, including: 1) Black skin, curly hair, I'm Papuan Bae sonde bae land of Timor lebe bae 3) Jogja is special, the country is special, the people are special, Bali Island Attractive Gods, Ama Mawolo, Ina Marawi.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the development of mathematics education in Indonesia. To overcome this problem, teachers play a role in overcoming students' learning difficulties in mathematics subjects, especially in critical thinking skills. One alternative to solve this problem is to apply open ended learning. Open ended learning is learning that presents problems by solving problems in various ways and the solutions are also varied. This research aims to find out whether the critical thinking abilities of students using an open-ended learning approach are better than the critical thinking abilities of students using conventional learning. This type of research is experimental research with circle subject matter. The population in this study was all class VIII students, totaling 91 students. The location of this research is MTs Negeri 1 Solok. The sampling technique uses random sampling. The research instrument is in the form of posttest questions. The calculation obtained ????ℎ???????????????????? > ???? 0.95;41, namely 2.84 > 2.019 and ???????????????????????? = 0.983 at the significance level α = 0.05 so it is rejected. The experimental class average was 66.71 and the control class average was 54.73.

Abstract

This study aims to determine student errors and the causes of student errors in solving trigonometric identity problems in class XI MIA SMAK St. Dominic Tambolaka. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive. The subjects of the study were 18 class XI MIA students at SMAK St. Dominikus Tambolaka. Data collection techniques use written tests and interviews. The results showed the percentage of errors made by students in solving math problems related to trigonometric identity. The causes of student errors include rushing to read math problems, not having the ability to focus attention on learning, not mastering trigonometric identity material, not understanding the formula that should be used, not being careful in carrying out the calculation process, carelessly doing problems because of previous mistakes, and rushing in working on the solving process.

Abstract

The negative effects of globalization mean that the younger generation has lost ethics. Deterioration of character still often occurs in school children whose actions and attitudes conflict with religious and ethical principles. School is a strategic place to teach disciplinary behavior because it allows someone to follow the rules. Disciplined behavior is one of the most important behaviors to teach. This research aims to discuss teacher strategies in shaping students' disciplinary character in the era of globalization. The method used in this research is qualitative, sourced from library data, and involves identifying sources from books, papers, articles and journals. The analysis technique used in this research is Content Analysis. The results of the research show that students' disciplined character can be formed through a values approach, making school regulations, taking a values clarification approach in the form of punishments and rewards, as well as habituating students.

Abstract

Learning is a system that cannot be separated from other components that interact with each other within it. Based on this, learning or education can be supported or accompanied by various components, one of which is computer technology. SNI/ISO 17025 is a standard from ISO which regulates organization, calibration and binding rules related to laboratories. This research uses the extreme programming research method because this method is most suitable for research and development of computer labs which are constantly developing both technologically and policy, Referring to the problems above, there is a need for research that can help solve problems and reduce the bureaucratic chain, time wasted if you want to report damage and/or borrow equipment or tools to laboratory assistants, it is necessary to develop a computer laboratory management system, referring to SNI /ISO 17025 as a laboratory management standard is expected for computer laboratory management to be more organized, disciplined and accountable. Good laboratory management and in accordance with SNI/ISO 17025 standards will result in better governance compared to disorganized laboratories, because it is superior in terms of order, security and so on, thus minimizing losses such as loss of equipment, undetected damage. and others.

Abstract

Students' problem-solving abilities are used as a fundamental perspective in mathematics learning. The aim of this research is to improve the problem solving abilities of students at SDN Panggung Lor Semarang with differentiated learning using the PBL model. This research is classified as classroom action research (PTK) with subjects of 26 grade 2 students for the 2023/2024 academic year. Data was collected based on written test techniques and observations. The technique used is qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on classroom action research, it shows that there is an increase in students' problem solving abilities after implementing differentiated learning with the PBL model. Pre cycle 38.46, became 61.53 in cycle 1 and rose to 90.38 in cycle 2. The indicator for planning problem solving experienced an increase in the average score for each cycle, from pre cycle 30.76 to 53.84 in cycle 1 and increased by 78.2 in cycle 2. The indicator of implementing the plan experienced an increase in the average score for each cycle, from pre-cycle 57.69 to 80.76 in cycle 1 and rose to 90.38 in cycle 2. Checking Indicators the answers experienced an increase in the average score for each cycle, from pre-cycle 28.84 to 40.38 in cycle 1 and increased by 61.53 in cycle 2. (2) The percentage of student completion reaching KKM 75 before the action was 46%, at the end of the cycle it increased to 78%.

Abstract

The effectiveness of students' learning is influenced by the learning styles adopted by each student. The ability of students to grasp learning materials is relatively low. In the actualization of learning by teachers, there is no diagnosis of the learning styles mastered by each student. Research shows the inclination of learning styles mastered by first-grade students at Panggung Lor Elementary School. This research is a descriptive qualitative study. The research subjects were first-grade students totaling 28 and first-grade teachers. The data analysis process used three stages: data reduction, data display, drawing conclusions, and data verification. Data collection was carried out through observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that first-grade students have various inclinations of learning styles. 46% of students have a visual learning style, 32% of students lean towards auditory learning styles, and 22% of students have a kinesthetic learning style

Abstract

This research delves into the nuanced world of conversational implicature, exploring the implied meanings and flouts of Grice’s cooperative principle in the film "Lone Survivor" directed by Peter Berg. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative method, this study focuses on specific dialogues to identify instances of maxim flouts and to unravel their underlying implications. Grice’s theory provides the analytical framework for this investigation. Moreover, content analysis technique was used to analyze the data. The findings reveal multiple flouts of the maxims of quality, quantity, relevance, and manner, each leading to various implied meanings. These flouts not only shed light on the intricacies of human communication but also offer a unique perspective on character dynamics and narrative development within the film. Ultimately, this study enriches our understanding of conversational implicature in cinematic discourse, highlighting the complexities of communication in narrative storytelling and underscoring the importance of context in interpreting meaning
