As a company engaged in the field of social security for workers, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan carries out professionalism in providing services to all participants. Professional service is a major requirement for organizations in order to reach and retain their customers. In this case, one of the Employment BPJS customers is a participant. Even though it is mandatory for all workers in Indonesia, in reality the participation rate is still relatively low where data from 2016 – 2018 still shows unregistered workers at over 60% of the total workforce in Indonesia. The research was conducted using Path Analysis consisting of 5 independent variables (Reliability, Assurance, Tangibles, Empathy, Responsiveness), 1 dependent variable (Participant Loyalty) and 1 intermediate variable (Participant Satisfaction). The results showed that the direct effect of Service Quality had a positive and significant effect on the satisfaction of participants in the North Medan Employment BPJS. Likewise, the indirect effect of showing Participant Loyalty through Service Quality as an intermediate variable has a positive and significant effect on Participants Satisfaction of the North Medan Employment BPJS. Of the 5 (five) independent variables, the variables Reliability, Tangibles, Empathy and Responsiveness have a positive and significant effect on Participant Loyalty through Participant Satisfaction as an intermediate variable. Meanwhile, the Assurance variable has no positive and significant effect on Participant Loyalty through Participant Satisfaction as an intermediate variable.

There was a positive and significant effect of investor satisfaction on investor loyalty, and there was a positive and significant effect of e-service quality and brand image on investor loyalty. Trust did not affect positively and significantly to investor loyalty. The trust effect on loyalty, however, was greater through the mediation variable. More variation in results could be obtained through a wider range of respondents. Other factors such as descriptive norms and perceived usefulness should be used to increase the explanatory power of the dependent variable. The comparison of the similar study on explanatory power between other customer behavior-based models could make another valuable contribution. This study would provide information on the factors affecting investor loyalty to stock brokerage companies. Moreover, the results of this study could serve as a guideline for stock brokerage companies in understanding the factors and programs that needed to embed to increase retail stock investor loyalty. Not many studies have examined the behavior of retail investors in Indonesia, particularly in Aceh Province.

Abstract

Russia has been a longstanding and time-tested partner for India. Development of India-Russia relations has been a key pillar of India’s Foreign policy. India and Russia have enjoyed good relations since 1947 wherein Russia helped India in attaining its goal of economic self-sufficiency through investment in areas of heavy machine-building , mining, energy production and steel plants. Later India and Soviet Union signed the Treaty of Peace and Friendship in august 1971 which was the manifestation of shared goals of the two nations as well as blueprint for the strengthening of regional and global peace and security. After the dissolution of Soviet Union, India and Russia entered into a new Treaty of Friendship and cooperation in January 1993 and a bilateral Military-Technical Cooperation agreement in 1994. As the Indian government’s response to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis received a mixed reaction, it puts a serious introspective question to Indian lawmakers: is Indian foreign policy still dependent upon the big superpowers or are we moving towards Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India)? After abstaining in UN Security Council, New Delhi again abstained from voting in United Nations General Assembly on a resolution condemning “in the strongest terms” Russia’s belligerence against Ukraine and calling on Moscow to “immediately, completely, and unconditionally withdraw all of its military forces from Ukraine’s territory within its internationally recognised borders.” In the current crisis, India has strived to maintain a non-aligned collinear, avoiding pointing a finger or naming names. This has proven to be challenging in the present predicament. It has done so by reiterating fundamental principles enshrined in the UN Charter and international law, but also appeals for a halt to violence and to return for dialogue as “the only response to addressing disagreements and conflicts, however daunting that may sound at this time.”

Abstract

It was observed that beggars made up a sizable portion of the population in most urban and rural areas, regardless of the motivations for their chosen profession. They continue to grow as a fascinating phenomenon in all fields of study. This study added to the limited body of research on the topic by looking at the history and health effects of panhandling. Because of the qualitative character of the study, we used a combination of in-depth interviews, key informant interviews, and observations made by observers who were not involved in the study. Coverage included the Kashmir valley city of Srinagar. The findings revealed that some of the panhandlers have been operating for almost twenty years. They didn't see beggars as a burden on society but rather as people trying to make a living. Some people resort to begging on the streets since they have few other options for making a living because of their financial situation. Invasion into begging as a means of subsistence was prompted by chronic economic failure. Environmental annoyance and health hazards, as well as a negative portrayal of the country's human development index to foreigners, are all ways in which street begging can have an impact on public health and development. As their population keeps growing, they must keep cutting back on their labour force. As a result, the social welfare system will collapse, leaving people and ecosystems susceptible to the effects of un sustainability.

Abstract

The demand for betel nut from international markets is continuously increasing, but the agricultural supply chain for this product is quite complex and requires special handling, thus affecting the agricultural product's price. Therefore, research on the analysis of betel nut value-added supply chains is crucial to determine the amount of additional value from each stage and actor involved in the supply chain. The research was conducted in Palembayan, Agam, and Padang, West Sumatra from May to August 2022 using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis methods with primary data from experts and farmers and secondary data from literature studies and related sources. This study found that betel nut has the potential to be exported to several countries, such as India, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates, but there are several problems hindering the distribution process. The betel nut supply chain involves several parties, ranging from suppliers to exporters, and there is no contractual relationship between them. This study also identifies criteria for betel nut suitable for export, including low water content, uniform color, large size, meeting food safety standards, and high sugar content. The process of exporting betel nut from Indonesia to India involves selection and collection, processing and packaging, transportation, and export. Thus, betel nut cultivation in Agam Regency can be effective, efficient, and sustainable by increasing the value-added at each production stage.

Abstract

The social customs and technological advancements that have their roots in or are connected to the ethno linguistically heterogeneous country of India are known as Indian culture. The phrase also refers to nations and cultures outside of India whose histories have ties to India via immigration, colonialism, or other forms of influence, notably in South Asia and South-East Asia. An important chapter in the history of India is the spread of Indian culture and civilization to other regions of Asia. Indian trade relations with other nations date back many centuries. The spread of Indian languages, religions, arts, and architectural styles, as well as Indian philosophy, beliefs, and practices, was an inevitable outcome of this. In certain regions of Southeast Asia, Hindu kingdoms were even founded mainly through Indian political intrigue. The Indus Valley Civilization and other early cultural regions were influential in shaping Indian culture, which is sometimes described as a synthesis of various civilizations.

Abstract

For the government, taxes are a source of state revenue. However, for companies, taxes are considered a burden that can reduce their profits. This difference can potentially cause non-compliance by taxpayers and has implications for corporate efforts to carry out tax aggressiveness. This study determines the effect of transfer pricing, intangible assets, and capital intensity on tax aggressiveness with foreign ownership as a moderating variable. This study uses data from manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in a sample of 36 companies with 108 observations during the 2018-2020 period. The results show that both transfer price and intangible assets positively affect tax aggressiveness, while capital intensity does not affect tax aggressiveness. Foreign ownership was found to strengthen the effect of transfer prices and intangible assets on tax aggressiveness. Furthermore, foreign ownership does not strengthen the effect of capital intensity on tax aggressiveness. Keywords: transfer price, intangible assets, capital intensity, foreign ownership, tax aggressiveness
