Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of inspectorate auditor independence, work experience, and professionalism on internal audit quality, with role conflict as a moderating variable. This study attempts to address the conflict within the government bureaucracy related to audit quality. The subjects of this study were inspectorate auditors working at the Central Lombok Regency Inspectorate. The sampling technique used convenience sampling by distributing questionnaires. The data analysis method used was moderated regression analysis (interaction test). The results of this study indicate that inspectorate auditor professionalism has a positive effect on audit quality. Meanwhile, inspectorate auditor independence and work experience do not. Furthermore, role conflict weakens the effect of auditor professionalism on audit quality. Role conflict does not weaken the effect of independence and work experience on audit quality.

Abstract

Third-Party Funds (TPF) represent the primary source of bank funding and determine banks’ capacity to perform their intermediation function. Within the State-Owned Banks Association (Himbara)—comprising BNI, BRI, Mandiri, and BTN—the growth of TPF during the 2015–2023 period exhibited significant fluctuations. These dynamics were influenced by various factors, including macroeconomic conditions, digital transformation, internal bank performance, and regional socio-economic characteristics. Previous studies indicate that external variables such as exchange rates and the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) affect TPF growth, with LDR tending to have a negative short-term impact. Meanwhile, digital transformation in banking has reshaped customer behavior and expanded financial service access, although its successful implementation requires policy harmonization to maintain stability and public trust. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to identify, evaluate, and synthesize empirical findings related to the determinants of TPF growth, focusing on its components: demand deposits, savings deposits, and time deposits. The results reveal that TPF growth in Himbara banks is simultaneously influenced by macroeconomic indicators, digital banking development, capital strength, operational efficiency, and regional socio-economic conditions. This study contributes both theoretically and practically by providing a comprehensive overview of strategic factors affecting fund mobilization in Himbara banks and serves as a basis for formulating adaptive and sustainable funding strategies in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the symbolic thinking ability of 5–6 year-old children in recognizing letter symbols through the use of magnetic board media at Pos PAUD Arrahman, Pedes District. The subjects were 12 children in group B, consisting of 7 girls and 5 boys. The study applied Classroom Action Research (CAR) in two cycles, each involving planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results showed that in the pre-cycle stage, most children were in the Beginning to Develop category (33%) and Not Yet Developed category (42%). Children generally recognized letters verbally but struggled to identify letter symbols accurately, highlighting the need for concrete learning experiences. In Cycle I, improvements were noted with 50% of children in the Beginning to Develop category and 34% in the Developing as Expected category, though some still had difficulty distinguishing vowels and consonants. In Cycle II, the use of magnetic board media produced significant progress. Most children reached the Developing as Expected (42%) and Very Well-Developed (42%) categories, with a total of 84% surpassing the 75% success indicator. Children were able to recognize letter symbols accurately, relate them to their sounds, and apply this knowledge in learning. These findings demonstrate that magnetic board media is an effective concrete learning tool to enhance symbolic thinking in early childhood. Its interactive and play-based nature suits children’s cognitive development in the preoperational stage and provides multisensory experiences that strengthen symbolic understanding as a foundation for literacy.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low numeracy skills of children aged 5–6 years at PAUD Al-Istiqomah. The aim was to improve numeracy skills through the traditional congklak game using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method by Kemmis and McTaggart with 12 children in group B as subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings revealed a significant improvement from the pre-cycle to cycle III, where 83% of the children achieved the categories of Developing as Expected and Very Well Developed. Thus, the congklak game proved to be effective and enjoyable as a learning medium to enhance early childhood numeracy skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that many schools have not yet systematically integrated cultural and civic literacy into the learning process. This is evident in the lack of programs that combine local culture-based character development and civic values in teaching and learning activities. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of cultural and civic literacy in learning at the elementary school level and its impact on the development of student self-confidence and character. Using a qualitative approach, this study involved observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies of teachers, students, and educational staff at schools implementing the program. The results indicate that the effective implementation of cultural and civic literacy can strengthen students' cultural identity, increase self-confidence, and instill positive character values. Challenges faced include a lack of resources and teacher training in integrating these concepts comprehensively. These findings emphasize the importance of schools' role as agents of character formation through strengthening cultural and civic literacy so that students can become confident and characterful individuals in social life.

Abstract

Early childhood literacy skills are an important foundation for literacy development and academic readiness. However, many children aged 4–5 years still have difficulty recognizing letters and initial sounds of words due to monotonous learning and minimal use of concrete media. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of letter sticker media in improving early childhood literacy skills at Nurul Hikmah PAUD. The study was conducted using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method in two cycles, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 16 children aged 4–5 years. The results showed a significant increase in children's literacy skills, from an average of 39% in the pre-cycle with a dominance of the Not Yet Developing (BB) and Starting to Develop (MB) categories, increasing to 58% in the first cycle with more children entering the Developing According to Expectations (BSH) category, to reaching 82% in the second cycle with the majority of children in the BSH and Very Well Developing (BSB) categories. These findings prove that letter sticker media can be an effective, enjoyable, and developmentally appropriate learning strategy for early childhood. In conclusion, this study shows that letter sticker media can be an effective, fun learning strategy, and is appropriate to the developmental stages of early childhood, so it is worthy of being adopted in PAUD education practices.

Abstract

The management of social character education in non-formal education plays a strategic role in shaping students’ social attitudes, leadership, and civic participation. This study aims to analyze the implementation of social character education management in the Duta Pelajar Competition organized by Karang Taruna of Karawang Regency in 2025. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. The research subjects consisted of 100 student participants from senior high schools (SMA/SMK/MA/SLB) and Karang Taruna administrators. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with data validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that social character education was managed systematically through the functions of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling (POAC). The social character values developed include social care, responsibility, cooperation, tolerance, leadership, social communication, and inclusivity. These findings confirm that youth activities managed through an educational management approach are effective in strengthening students’ social character and are relevant to Karang Taruna policies as regulated by the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the speaking skills of 4–5-year-old children through the application of the macro role-playing method at RA Izzatul Islam Karawang Timur. The research subjects consisted of 21 children in the Utsman Bin Affan class. The study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design with data collection through observation, field notes, and recordings of learning activities, which were then analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. The results of the study indicate that the consistent application of the macro role-playing method effectively improves children's speaking skills, including listening skills, expressing opinions, expressing feelings, and interacting in conversations. These findings confirm that the macro role-playing method is effective in early childhood education for developing language skills, enhancing social interaction, building self-confidence, and stimulating children's creative thinking abilities.

Abstract

This research examines the problem of preserving the Pinisi Ship as Indonesia's maritime cultural heritage that faces serious pressures due to modernization and globalization. The main problem in this research lies in the declining regeneration of craftsmen, limited raw materials, shifting cultural values, weak legal protection, and the lack of involvement of the younger generation in maintaining the sustainability of the Pinisi Shipbuilding tradition. The purpose of this research is to analyze the main obstacles to the preservation of the Pinisi Ship and formulate strategies and innovations that can be applied to strengthen its existence in the midst of the times. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach, which utilizes secondary data in the form of scientific journals, academic books, policy documents, and publications of relevant cultural institutions. Data collection techniques were conducted through documentation, while data analysis used content analysis to identify key themes related to preservation challenges and opportunities. The results show that Pinisi Ship preservation requires an integrative approach that includes strengthening local culture-based education, legal protection of cultural heritage, utilization of digital technology for documentation and promotion, and development of sustainable cultural tourism. The conclusion of this research confirms that the sustainability of the Pinisi Ship can only be realized through synergy between the government, the community, and the local community. Abstract

Terboyo Industrial Area, Genuk District, Semarang City faces recurrent flooding due to extreme rainfall, land subsidence, and poor drainage, disrupting industrial operations and community livelihoods. This study analyzes government and community preparedness levels, examining synergy between Disaster Preparedness Forums and infrastructure responses. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, purposive sampling targeted 12 key informants from BPBD, subdistrict officials, and community leaders across 10 flood-prone villages. Data collection utilized semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and BPBD document analysis, with Miles and Huberman's model for thematic coding, data display, and triangulation ensuring credibility. Findings reveal government initiatives including portable pumps, color-coded flood mapping, and emergency facilities, alongside community efforts in evacuation planning and environmental maintenance. However, disaster literacy gaps and coordination weaknesses persist. Conclusions emphasize government-community synergy through enhanced education, real-time early warning systems, and FSB capacity building for sustainable resilience.
