Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of employee well-being on employee loyalty, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable, in a banking institution in Garut. The research employs a quantitative approach with a verificative design. The total population of 74 employees was used as respondents through a census sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that employee well-being has a positive and significant effect on both job satisfaction and employee loyalty. Job satisfaction also has a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty. Furthermore, job satisfaction significantly mediates the relationship between employee well-being and employee loyalty. These findings suggest that improving employee well-being not only directly enhances loyalty but also indirectly through increased job satisfaction. Therefore, organizations should comprehensively manage employee well-being as a strategic effort to improve job satisfaction and strengthen employee loyalty sustainably.

Abstract

Alcohol consumption among adolescents in rural Eastern Indonesia has increased due to social, coping motives, and access to traditional drinks like cap tikus, exacerbated by low self-awareness that weakens emotional regulation against peer pressure. This study aimed to examine the influence of self-awareness on motives for alcohol consumption among adolescents in Rumoong Atas Dua Village, Tareran District. Employing a quantitative correlational design with Likert-scale surveys, a population of 96 adolescents aged 18-21 years was purposively sampled to 77 respondents (54 males). Instruments measured self-awareness (41 items) and alcohol motives (43 items), analyzed via Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, linearity test, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression on SPSS (α=0.05). Results revealed a significant positive relationship (r=0.353, p=0.002) with self-awareness influence at β=0.347 (t=3.263, p=0.002; R²=0.124), explaining 12.4% of motive variance. The study concludes that self-awareness significantly influences alcohol motives but with limited effect, necessitating comprehensive self-regulation-based interventions to strengthen its protective function in rural contexts.

Abstract

This paper aims to explore the role of gender as moderating variables for the relationships between variables in the modified information system success model. This research is needed to uncover whether the gender gap exists in information system implementation. The result of the study This digitization in organization which focus on its impact for defining the usage of information system and user satisfaction. A quantitative study using PLS-SEM had been employed to reveal whether gender has influence on the relationships between variables. A data collection was conducted using questionnaire which was distributed in a private university. There are 146 data from respondents that can be used for data analysis. Using both PLS algorithm and bootstrapping procedure in SmartPLS®, several findings can be excerpt from the analysis. First, gender affects the relationship between information quality and actual use. Second, gender does not have impact on the relationship between system quality and actual use, perceived benefit and actual use, service quality and actual use, actual use and user satisfaction. As general conclusion, gender does not impact most factors of the information system usage and satisfaction model. This result is promising in term of gender role in digitation process in organization since gender gap mostly does not exist. Further analysis and implications are discussed in the article.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the impact of Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) on the performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and to identify the role of organisational innovation capability as a mediator in this relationship. Employing a quantitative method, a survey was conducted involving 125 MSME practitioners in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, using purposive sampling techniques. The selection criteria for respondents included businesses that have been operational for a minimum of two years and possess a workforce. The data collected were subsequently analysed using path analysis and the Sobel mediation test. The findings indicate that SHRM has a significant positive effect on innovation capability (β = 0.563; p < 0.05) and on MSME performance (β = 0.271; p < 0.05). Furthermore, innovation capability positively contributes to enhancing MSME performance (β = 0.468; p < 0.05). The Sobel test confirms that innovation capability serves as a significant mediating variable in the relationship between SHRM and MSME performance (z = 3.874; p < 0.05). These findings underscore the importance of implementing strategic human resource management practices to enhance MSME performance through innovation, where the development of competencies and an innovation culture are pivotal strategies for improving competitiveness.

Abstract

Dodol Garut is a traditional culinary product that represents regional identity and serves as an icon of the creative and tourism industries in West Java. This study aims to examine the mediating role of perceived authenticity in the relationship between storytelling strategies, local cultural values, and consumer loyalty. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that storytelling strategies significantly influence consumer loyalty both directly and indirectly through perceived authenticity. In contrast, local cultural values do not directly affect consumer loyalty but have a significant indirect effect through perceived authenticity. These results highlight that cultural values alone are insufficient to build loyalty unless they are transformed into perceived authenticity through effective narrative communication. This study contributes to culture-based marketing literature by positioning perceived authenticity as a key mediating mechanism in fostering consumer loyalty in traditional culinary products.

Abstract

Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) have significantly transformed the digital information ecosystem, particularly through the emergence of deepfake technology that enables highly realistic visual manipulation. This phenomenon poses serious challenges in distinguishing authentic from manipulated content, especially on social media platforms such as Facebook. This study aims to analyze the role of digital literacy in recognizing and responding to deepfake content, as well as to examine its patterns of dissemination and impact on public trust in visual information. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with experts from the Indonesian Anti-Slander Society (MAFINDO) and active Facebook users, complemented by digital observation of circulating deepfake content. The findings reveal that limited digital literacy significantly contributes to users’ inability to critically evaluate visual information, leading to the unintentional spread of misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation. Deepfakes are also strategically used for political propaganda and identity manipulation, further undermining trust in digital information. This study contributes to the literature by positioning digital literacy as a critical evaluative and ethical competency in addressing AI-driven visual disinformation within a platform-specific context. Strengthening digital literacy through targeted interventions is therefore essential to enhance users’ critical awareness and resilience against manipulated content in the digital environment.
